Absolutely no compassion for this blatant mouthpiecing story.
Forgetting the others, if NINTENDO UK (and therefore The Hut Group) wanted to get the consoles out for the release day they should have been sent SPECIAL DELIVERY, not this TRACKED 48 nonsense.
And they know this full well.
All this being said and done, I did get mine by some miracle the next day despite it having been sent TRACKED 48.
So no more orders from Nintendo UK store for me, and I will make sure anyone I speak to knows what the score is when it comes to regard for loyal customers!
Sorry mate, but the Royal Mail tracking will be completely independent from what the morons at The Hut Group are telling you.
Check my post from above - if yours still says "pre-advice received" then it hasn't even been handed over to Royal Mail yet.
Despicable stuff, I really feel for you guys - MK8 all over again, at least they came good with a DL code by 6pm that time - a delayed console that was supposed to come on release day is something else altogether...

I suppose the galling thing is that I only changed my Amazon pre-order so as to take advantage of the 2 year warranty from Nintendo (and some Quidco cashback) - I only placed the order on the 15th of Feb!
I posted this on the forum thread, but here it is again:
"My Switch arrived!!!!! Get this - Royal Mail TRACKED 48!!! I cannot believe it arrived. I also cannot believe Nintendo UK/Hut sent it TRACKED 48. Never, ever again will I entrust a release day item to these morons."
F-ing jokers - I'm just lucky it arrived I suppose despite the Tracked 48.
One bitten and all that - it surely IS MK8 all over again. 3 years on and no lessons learned.
Again I will say I will NEVER order anything like this direct from Nintendo UK in the future.
I hate to break it to you, but when the Royal Mail tracking page says the number is incorrect that just means that the package hasn't entered their delivery chain yet - i.e. it's still at "Nintendo" (Hut Group really).
I'll say this - whether it arrives tomorrow or not, I will definitely NEVER pre-order ANYTHING again from Nintendo UK - they haven't learned AT ALL from the MK8 fiasco - and that was nearly 3 years ago!
I too have the "Royal Mail Tracked" est delivery 7-8th March.
I will be screaming from the rooftops if this turns out to be another Mario Kart 8 debacle!
FWIW, Royal Mail Tracked is NOT a guaranteed service, Zelda was sent RM Tracked 48, so I imagine the console is RM Tracked 24 - just check out Royal Mail's own website, RM Tracked 24 is not a guaranteed service.
In any case my earlier email said the console would be sent out for next day delivery by courier - RM is NOT a courier!
My boys are going to be sooooo disappointed if this doesn't show up tomorrow...
But, as I keep banging on about and no-one seems bothered - will they deliver on release day?
When you go through checkout only standard delivery is available, 2-3 WORKING days - I'm sure I won't be sitting there waiting til the Wednesday after release if I've pre-ordered the bloody thing!

You are not going to be getting that today.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@kelvin9994
I already got my BOTW LE, sent Tuesday RM Tracked 48, arrived today (so on time).
Also, as mentioned, I have the console coming RM Tracked (24 one assumes, but still not a guaranteed next day service).
Disgraceful stuff from Nintendo/Hut group - still hopeful it will actually arrive...

exactly the same for me, and the same thoughts.

Mario Kart 8 is 49.99 at Smyths
Re: Guide: Where To Pre-Order The Nintendo Switch, Games And Accessories
Hmm, does anyone know if the UK Nintendo store are going to make sure they deliver on release day (and not have a repeat of the MK8 debacle)?
I only see standard delivery available - I aint preordering and then waiting 2-3 days as they state, or 5 days for Zelda!
Also there doesn't seem to be any way to add a bigger T-Shirt on Zelda - I've hit large so many times but it's always just small in the basket.
Massive fail there - and surely they should make it clear whether your pre-order gets you delivery on the day?!
