
We've had some concerned tips and pointers today from those that ordered their Nintendo Switch from the official Nintendo UK Store, primarily relating to the dispatch date for arrival tomorrow. Some of the messaging in order information and the slow arrival of emails confirming delivery for tomorrow haven't helped matters.
We got in touch with Nintendo UK's store team, and they've provided assurances that system deliveries are on track for 3rd March - our own Anthony Dickens has even now had a confirmation email to that effect. The statement below explains that the way the system processes and displays orders may have concerned customers, but that consoles will be sent to arrive on launch day.
All console orders are being dispatched Next Day Delivery - today, using a combination of couriers. The reason that confirmation emails are displaying a date other than the 03.03 is because for a pre-order, only standard delivery is available, as the time we take to dispatch can vary by product. Customers should not be concerned as no consoles are being dispatched on standard delivery - all Next Day.
For any of you in the UK sweating over your orders, hopefully this provides some reassurance.

Nothing about my zelda limited edition tho , they even tried cancellation at midnight due to payment issue, which was totally wrong as I made sure to have enough as cover everything. Anyone else have this???

My Pro Controller arrived today from the official Nintendo store. Can't use it yet though, as I haven't got the Switch! Amazon say it should arrive tomorrow...
I emailed Nintendo customer service at the begging of Feb asking if delivery was guaranteed for release day, they assured me it was and today they emailed to confirm! Just hope its a early delivery driver!!

These reassurances do not really quell my fears, especially with their previous track record. Hilariously, as stated above, all my other Switch Goodies arrived Today.
All Shopto stuff was sent out today relating to the switch apparently, that's consoles and accessories.
I had Bomberman R arrive from Simply Games though and Horizon Zero Dawn for my PS4 from Cex.
It's interesting that with Horizon today and Zelda tomorrow, I will have obtained the two best games of the year

I will be screaming from the rooftops if this turns out to be another Mario Kart 8 debacle!
FWIW, Royal Mail Tracked is NOT a guaranteed service, Zelda was sent RM Tracked 48, so I imagine the console is RM Tracked 24 - just check out Royal Mail's own website, RM Tracked 24 is not a guaranteed service.
In any case my earlier email said the console would be sent out for next day delivery by courier - RM is NOT a courier!
My boys are going to be sooooo disappointed if this doesn't show up tomorrow...

Yeah, I got the first email saying it was gonna be delivered next day by courier, then I got the actual email confirming it was dispatched, but with Royal Mail for Tuesday-Wednesday, so... I'm not sure which email to believe.
This wouldn't be so bad if my pro controller and my limited edition Zelda BOTW wasn't right in front of me.
The clarity on this has been awful. I don't know why they couldn't say this upfront?
Their customer service has been very good getting back with the reassuring messages to be fair. But it feels every time I get one of them I then get some email saying something to the contrary. The last being they assured me Switches are going out via courier, next day delivery service. Then I get a dispatch notice and tracking number saying it's Royal Mail standard tracked service, estimating Tues/Weds for delivery.
Oh well not a lot to be done about it, just got to wait until tomorrow and hope.

Communication on this from The Official Nintendo UK Store (run by The Hut) has been poor. All emails should have been sent weeks ago. Still not sure whether mine will arrive tomorrow or next week. To be fair, ordered plenty from them before and not had any issues. Fingers crossed for everyone.
I just don't like yodel in the past I've had time issue between 8&8 isn't any help nor is the service , but not all the time, more worried about zelda no change still waiting to dispatch
I got the email from Nintendo saying it'll be sent by next day courier at about 5pm and then at 6.30pm the dispatch email from Nintendo telling me it was sent by Royal Mail Tracked (didn't specify 24 or 48) with an estimated delivery of Tuesday or Wednesday next week. So which is it?
If it's supposed to be next day, it should have been sent by Special Delivery! Or through DPD!
All my other items sent from Nintendo UK by this exact method have arrived the day second day after I got a dispatch notification. I'm worried.

I'll say this - whether it arrives tomorrow or not, I will definitely NEVER pre-order ANYTHING again from Nintendo UK - they haven't learned AT ALL from the MK8 fiasco - and that was nearly 3 years ago!

I too have the 7-8 estimated date for royal mail after previously receiving one ealier saying it should be with me tomorrow , I've also order the collectors edition of botw which is in the same order I wonder if that has anything to do with it ? also when I go to track royal mail say they don't recognise the number , anyone else have this? hoping everyone gets there's tomorrow

I already got my BOTW LE, sent Tuesday RM Tracked 48, arrived today (so on time).
Also, as mentioned, I have the console coming RM Tracked (24 one assumes, but still not a guaranteed next day service).

Same situation here. Late afternoon I received an initial email regarding the console stating that it would be despatched today ready for next day delivery by courier. Followed 2 hours later by an totally contradictory email stating that it had actually been despatched by Royal Mail tracker with an estimated delivery date of Tuesday/Wednesday.
And am still awaiting Zelda which was ordered separately but on the same day as the console (Jan 13th).
What a shambolic mess. If there are delivery issues tomorrow I hope Nintendo UK think again about allowing the Hut group to run their online store.
@SammiiCake I'm having the exact same problem, it's just stuck on awaiting dispatch and I've refreshed the page loads of times, they sent an email saying they were sending my order out on the 2nd as next day delivery but it's now midnight and I still don't have a dispatch confirmation, really disappointed in Nintendo uk right now as I usually get stuff from them day one.
@BillieBoo Semi glad I'm not the only one, I'm just hoping when I wake up in the morning it'll say it has been dispatched and being delivered. I've just been refreshing the page all day, but nothing. I'm really disappointed in Nintendo Store too, and I want to say I'll likely not order from them again but if they do deals like a free shirt (Despite I couldn't change size when I ordered it and they refused to change the size for me when I explained my situation), I know I'm going to order from there again... Just going to try and avoid it as much as possible in the future though. Now, I just need to try and sleep, which is a difficult job when you can't stop thinking about whether you'll be playing Zelda on the Switch tomorrow!
@SammiiCake I'm still constantly checking my emails for a dispatch confirmation but no luck, I'm also having trouble sleeping right now because I have no idea if it's going to get here or not and I do really want to play zelda botw. Ugh the anxiety through this sucks. I hope you get yours tomorrow as I really sympathise with what your going through, this has to be my worst experience through the Nintendo uk store, I contacted customer support just in case, hopefully they get back to me swiftly and don't send me an automated email like they did a few days ago. @BillieBoo Really doubt they'll dispatch it at this time of night, the only thing I can think of is that it has dispatched, just something went wrong so it hasn't told us... I badly want to play Zelda too, still awake now, can't sleep. Although, luckily for me, I ordered the WiiU version too, so I can at least play that tomorrow hopefully, if I don't get the Switch. Fingers crossed customer support won't have a late response and will be able to help you ASAP!! Debating to ring them tomorrow about it, but I'm too fond of talking to people on the phone..
Okay I now ha e a confirmation e-mail. However it's royal mail tracked 24-48, and the tracking reference number they have supplied is incorrect.
Somehow, I was lucky enough to receive the console, Zelda, Joy-Con Charger Grip and Pro Controller yesterday (2/3), all in one package. It was delivered by DPD, with a time slot of around 11:17-12:17 if I remember correctly.

I hate to break it to you, but when the Royal Mail tracking page says the number is incorrect that just means that the package hasn't entered their delivery chain yet - i.e. it's still at "Nintendo" (Hut Group really).
You are not going to be getting that today.

I absolutely won't be getting it today. Just phoned royal mail and they don't have it yet. I took a days holiday from work and I want fully compensated. I will he calling them at 0830. I will let you know how it goes. I was a day one pre order
@CupidStunt Absolutely, do not blame you. I too was a day one pre-order, but luckily my stuff arrived yesterday.
I sure as hell will NOT be ordering ANYTHING from Nintendo directly again, as their ordering, email and general update status of letting the customer know what is happening is 3rd rate. Last week I must have sent at least 5 emails, asking when they were going to take the money, and get the order dispatched, and all I got, on all occasions, was the same automated reply email.
They should not, and must not be allowed to get away with this kind of thing. People have put their faith and trust in them, and invested a lot of money, just to be treated like rubbish.

I got an email about 10 minutes ago saying mine has been dispatched, my friend is trying to convince me that I'll still get it today, that it's already at the nearest DO, but I have no idea what to believe now... Had an email from Royal Mail saying that Zelda is out for delivery today. Checked and my console pre-ordered on the same day (13th Jan) hasn't even been received by the Royal Mail yet. This is utterly appalling service and I hope that they are called on it.
Royal Mail still haven't received the item according to their tracking system. I've just had a delivery of Breath of the Wild from Royal Mail so assume they don't make multiple deliveries on the same day. They usually don't.
I'm on hold with Nintendo. Am fuming, frankly.

I don't understand why they stated that they were shipping for next day delivery yesterday and then we then find out they are using Royal Mail tracked! That email from them detailed in the article is increasingly turning out to be a blatant lie.

Mine is at Outward RDC Volumetric Acceptance meaning I'm not even sure if Switch have left Manchester Distribution Center. No updates to tracking since 7PM Yesterday. They should have shipped everything on Wednesday. So a representative for Nintendo UK's phone line told me it will be delivered today despite me telling them Royal Mail's tracking states they haven't received it and that they've already delivered my Breath of the Wild limited edition to me today.
He said Royal Mail's tracking can be slow to update (what's the point of it then?) and that it will depend on the size of packages they are sending. Apparently the box for the Switch is much much larger than the Breath of the Wild limited edition box so they'll come on two separate deliveries according to the guy from Nintendo.
I'm going to call Royal Mail now to see what they say.
Sorry to say that Nintendo are spinning you all a tale! I rang Royal Mail to ask about ours as the tracking reference number can't be found and they said it's not even in the system. No prospect of having it delivered today. He said Nintendo label and batch them ready for collection and that's when they send the dispatch emails. It's still sitting at Nintendo waiting for collection! It's a disgrace when the company making the product can get it to other suppliers so their customers get it on time, but ordering direct from Nintendo will take days. My 12 year old has saved for months to pay for this himself and has been counting down the days on a calendar. He is devastated and I hope Nintendo are proud of their customer service. We will never buy from Nintendo again. Shambles in every way!
I just checked with a legal representative I sometimes use, and he stated. If anyone on here, or any other customer has an email that guaranteed delivery by the 3rd (today), that is a legal and binding contract, which if broken, can be enforced by legal action.
As to if anyone would want to take that kind of action, I cannot say, but I thought I would check it out, and let you fine people know anyway.
I really do feel for everyone who pre ordered, and was PROMISED delivery by launch day, and has yet again, been let down by Nintendo.

Just spoken to Royal Mail. The tracking number Nintendo have used for my delivery is Royal Mail Tracked 48 and NOT 24. It has NOT been sent by next day delivery as they had promised and the Royal Mail adviser said I will NOT get this item today.
Back on the phone to Nintendo to call them liars and that I will NEVER use their service again.
This was my fear. I really hope this site and others call Nintendo/Hut Group on this if they have been peddling lies to us.....

Just called Royal Mail. Nintendo have sent it with 48 hour delivery. Im going on holiday today for two weeks, wont be able to collect it anytime soon and my son is already devastated. WELL DONE NINTENDO !!!!!!

Just been on the phone to Nintendo after being on hold for 40 minutes and was assured it'd be here today, and that Royal mails tracking was slow at updating... just been to Sainsbury's today to get one cause I thought it wouldn't arrive, now don't wanna open the one I have Incase it does :/

I got through to Nintendo a while ago and they said it was sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 and that it will be here today. However, I called Royal Mail who told me it was sent via Tracked 48. I'm on hold with Nintendo again to give them a piece of my mind.
My Royal Mail tracking also says they haven't received the parcel. Not particularly happy at all. Who knows it's even via Royal Mail though, apparently on NeoGAF someone had theirs delivered via Hermes of all people despite getting a Royal Mail tracking code. What a mess.

Then when I told him I'd spoken to Royal Mail who told me the item has been sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48 and not a next day service as they had promised, he changed that to "we hope you'll get it today". He's apparently passing my query on "to the relevant team" but I think that's total bollocks. He also said I need to check the tracking info for updates up to 1pm today.

My Royal Mail doesn't usually get here until 11:30, so I'm just anxiously waiting until then... Either way, I hope I get BotW on the WiiU if I don't get it on the Switch today. But will be very disappointed if I don't get it today. The wait should almost be over, I hope.
Spoke to Nintendo again. Told him about Royal Mail saying it was a 48 hour service. He said that Royal Mail told them different. He said he will speak to his manager and call me back. Probably BS but sure what can I do? It's really put a sour note on what should have been an exciting time.

Yeah the tracking Amazon gave me for Zelda which was sent via Royal Mail actually says it was received by my local office and should be delivered today. Royal Mail where I live can deliver at any time though, I've seen them come as late as 3PM.

I have ordered Zelda from Amazon and Switch directly from Nintendo. Zelda have just arrived which was send with Royal Mail 24 but no sign of switch from Nintendo and apparently Nintendo used same service
I'm also in the same boat, est delivery 7-8th. Royal Mail just delivered my Zelda (sent from GAME), the delivery representative said "If I dont have it then it won't be with you today". My tracking info says "Sales Order Raised" as of 5am this morning. Rather disappointing.
Well Royal Mail came and went. Dropped off my games and a few other things, but no console.....
@Kagemaru where your games separate orders to your console. Mine are all in the same order. Royal Mail has been and gone and I have nothing. Really annoying I've used the Nintendo UK online store so many times and have never had any issues like this 😕
@Bakura1984 I ordered Zelda from Amazon, and Bomberman from thegamecollection since I got better deals from those two sites. But yeah same I hadn't had any problems prior to this. Maybe I should have expected it, it is ran by the hut group and Zavvi always screw things up.

Surely they can't get away with this! I received an email saying NEXT DAY DELIVERY. I've spoken to royal mail and they said it's 48 hours. I will not be getting the switch today but Nintendo have still taken my money. Really pissed off. Also I will not be here tomorrow to collect. Absolutely fuming. Does anyone know of anyway to approach Nintendo in regards to this shocking service? I've been stuck on the phone waiting for them. I assume there are a few people pissed off like me.

@Nintendoyle As someone who works on the back-end of a different online retailer and has to regularly deal with dispatching, I can, unfortunately, assure you that's complete nonsense.
Royal Mail are in no way the ones that decide how a delivery is processed and delivered. It's up to the company to create the correct special delivery ticket. Instead they ballsed it up by going for a cheaper option and hoping for the best.
Still, better than what I was told on the phone. "We usually send things tracked 48 so they probably just assume that's what it is when they see our company name." That's not how automated systems work. Don't treat me like an idiot for your screw up.
In the end though, gave up, went to the shops and picked one up and for a slightly better deal. Will be returning the one I got from Nintendo whenever it finally arrives.

Yep, that's what I said to him. I also work for an online company who dispatches hundreds of parcels a day. The dispatch team choose either 24 or 48 depending on what the customer has chosen. I think I may do the same as you and go pick it up in a shop. Game apparently have one held for me. I'll be paying to send it back to Nintendo that's for sure.
So, just got my WiiU version of Breath of the Wild, going to play that ASAP now until I get the Switch which I'm still waiting to get! But at least I can quench my thirst for Zelda ^_^

Received my Switch from Nintendo UK but NOT my copy of Zelda. That will arrive tomorrow apparently (which to Yodel means Monday). So at the moment I have a nice £270 ornament next to the TV.
Also, Nintendo need to stop using Yodel, my Switch arrived with the box crushed on one corner (obviously thrown around at some point) - fortunately the airbags inside had prevented the Switch box and console from damage. Why oh why won't they listen to endless customer complaints and switch couriers to DPD? They look after their parcels, deliver them AND give you a one-hour time email to you on the day of delivery.

I suppose the galling thing is that I only changed my Amazon pre-order so as to take advantage of the 2 year warranty from Nintendo (and some Quidco cashback) - I only placed the order on the 15th of Feb!

Please be aware: If Royal Mail 48 Hour ARE delivering your stuff, if you do not get it today, they only deliver up until 3pm on Saturdays.
Nintendo will still not learn ANYTHING from this debacle
So, it's now 13:45. Mike at Nintendo told me to keep checking Royal Mail tracking up to 1pm. It still says "pre-advice received" and I've still not heard from anyone about where my Switch is. Time to call them again.

Despicable stuff, I really feel for you guys - MK8 all over again, at least they came good with a DL code by 6pm that time - a delayed console that was supposed to come on release day is something else altogether...
Worst think.. I went to to pick memory card.. And quest what... Switch and zelda ready to buy straight away.. I should to keep my preorder with Amazon. I was thinking best option was to buy it from nintendo. I was think they will never fail their customers.. Why they don't send it on Wednesday to by sure people will recive it right time.. My pro controller waiting for switch(recieved from n store). Holiday at work booked. Wasted every important minute...in my working place for failure like that people loosing jobs.. All ready how many people got bad experience with UK store.. Good service is most important thing.

I received the delivery via Yodel and had an email from Nintendo at 7:30 last night saying they were delivering it. I didn't receive an email saying it was coming via Royal Mail, though I understand some people had an auto-email saying delivery was by them. I did receive an email from Nintendo yesterday afternoon saying "We are happy to inform you that your Nintendo Switch console will be dispatched today for Next Day Delivery. High value order items are dispatched via courier for Next Day Delivery as standard, so you can be assured that your order is being shipped to you using the fastest and most secure option available."

....so you might get yours today! If you are thinking of phoning Nintendo, I was on hold for 40 mins earlier before getting through.
@meherenow Oh I know, but Nintendo are adamant it's arriving today. They aren't admitting they messed this up and I won't rest until they apologise and admit it.
I would have calmed down if they just said to me "Yes, I'm really sorry, we messed this up and some items went by Royal Mail Tracked 48 when they shouldn't have."
Instead it's "Royal mail are slow at updating their tracking" which is utter rubbish.

Got my order just now.
Had an email yesterday from Nintendo saying it would be sent next day delivery but then got another one later on saying it would be delivered by Royal Mail next week by tracked 48 hour delivery. In the end Hermes delivered it.
The parcel has a Royal Mail tracked 48 beneath the Hermes one.

Just signed up to add my experience:
Preordered my Switch and Zelda LE 6weeks ago. Got the same dispatch email you did stating estimated delivery tue-wed with a Royal Mail tracking no. Called Support immediately after I read this to be told it was an error on an automated email and confirmed it will be next day delivery (friday) and to keep checking the tracking no. on RM website.
Royal Mail tracking still says 'the next scan will appear when we receive this item into our network' at 1pm today. So I contacted Royal Mail, they said the parcel had not been handed over yet, and when it does it will be 48hr delivery. FUMING.
After 40mins on hold, got through to Nintendo (again) and was told any orders dispatched last night were changed from 48hr to Next Day priority delivery. This makes sense, I guess- the reason why my original Tracking No isn't updated and why some people have received Royal Mail tracking nos but delivered from Yodel/Hermes. So he said he was passing on my details to the development team who would liaise with Royal Mail, and I can expect a call back. But I can still expect my order by 6pm tonight. "Fingers Crossed" UGH!
To be fair, they've never let me down like this before. I've always had items on time or early.
It's insulting to be told one thing and that turn out to be an apparent lie.
We've seen some people highlight that their Switch's have been delivered by Hermes or Yodel. So why can't Nintendo tell us if this is going to happen and provide tracking info through Hermes.
Is it an arrangement Royal Mail have with Hermes and Yodel? Or did Nintendo mistakenly issue Royal Mail tracked info for the Switches and then send them by Yodel / Hermes so they have given us the wrong tracking info?
@ROBLOGNICK Yeah I haven't had a problem before. My Ambassador New 3DS, they delivered next day via DPD.
To me it seemed like they ran out of time. They missed the Royal Mail deadline so they passed the others onto a different courier who could still offer next day service. Didn't update the automated system to reflect that.
Its a disgrace, I ordered 3 pre-order items thinking they would be delivered today. One apparently was even dispatched on tuesday. I have got nothing in the post today whatsoever. The tracking number do not seem to update at all either. I contacted royal mail about the tracking and her response was:
''The tracking number you have given me was dispatched yesterday on 48 hour delivery, apparently they have been telling customer that they were dispatched yesterday on 24 hours service but that's not the case unfortunately.''
And heres to think I ordered off them in full confidence they would go through with their launch day delivery promise.
Hope some of you guys have had better luck.

Got through to someone at Nintendo who told me that the tracking information will be wrong, they can't give me correct tracking info but it is being sent by Royal Mail next day.
They also said, it could be delivered around 6pm or slightly before. He then said, I've known the to deliver after 6pm as well. So what that tells me is he hasn't got a clue.
They've essentially lost my Switch because if they can't provide me with tracking information then they've no idea where it is. They know who they gave it to, but aren't telling us who that is, and they did so in such a hurry that they've not recorded tracking information properly so they're praying its delivered and not lost.
Same boat.
Judging by the stories it seems we're promised Royal Mail but getting couriers. I'm hoping for a good ending for us all and it seems a little more hopeful than the situation we all thought we were in but it also seems slapdash and last ditch effort. I'm sure a lot of us will get our consoles but perhaps not all.
I guess we can do nothing but wait. I've received a personal email from Nintendo guaranteeing it today so I know if it doesn't I will b throwing that at them and raising hell since I took a holiday and spent it doing nothing but waiting. Ah well, try to keep us updated guys and I'll do the same

After all my ranting mine has arrived via courier not Royal Mail. Feel slightly bad after sending my 4th cross email but the whole despatch information process is a total muddle. Seems that the Royal Mail part is just the 1st part of the process and then we lose sight of it until it arrives via a courier.
Got told there was a delay in shipping mine... so it wasn't even shipped until today
so should arrive tomorrow
already prepping a good complaint phone call tomorrow
(after all, had to take a day or so off of work ,then travel all the way back to my parents to receive it, and then so many other websites were cheaper... ugh)

Just received an email from Nintendo telling me Hermes are delivering not Royal Mail, great arguably the second worst courier company.
Hermes tracking info doesn't tell you anything.
Nintendo Store is a disgrace, absolute shambles.
Still no sign of my Switch, got my Zelda game and still on hold to Nintendo 😠
@noseyuk545 Exactly the same here, Amazon/Royal Mail delivered Zelda just after lunch. Currently on hold for 18 minutes.

My friend also got an email that his is being dispatched by Hermes, despite he already has it (???). But nothing has happened for me, no email or anything... Contacted them through email, but probably won't get a reply until it's too late
I belatedly received an email from Nintendo saying the same thing (though had received mine by then):
'Unfortunately there has been a technical error with your tracking details. We can confirm that your console is being delivered on a Hermes Next Day for you today and you can use the below details to track your order.'
I wouldn't loose hope yet.
@andyn Hopefully it does arrive today, but the day is already soured. I've taken the day off work for nothing and I'm going out at 6:30. I'm not going to get to play Zelda until Sunday afternoon now at the earliest.

Apparently GAME and amazon etc are all having big issues as well.
So I was on hold for an hour and finally got through. Spoke to a really helpful guy who confirmed that my order hadn't been dispatched and therefore won't be arriving today. I might get a dispatch email by 7pm tonight which should mean delivery tomorrow (to my workplace) and if not delivery should be on Monday....which I had booked off work to play...

@SammiiCake update: mine also got dispatched at 8:30am, I've tried ringing them but it seems they've closed all of their phone lines for 'training' but I'm guessing they got overwhelmed by complaints, I am so angry, someone needs to kick up a big fuss because Nintendo will just sweep this under the rug.

I gave up waiting for Nintendo to sort it. Game in Craigavon held one by for me so I got it from there. The staff there are brilliant. I should have just pre-ordered with them in the first place. Will send the one from Nintendo back to them at their expense.
Well after an hour and half on hold get through to be told it's actually coming via Hermes and they'd emailed me to inform me which they hadn't. Hermes tracking shows no information at all but Nintendo are adamant it will be delivered before 8 today. Went on chat with Hermes who can't track and said to get back onto the retailer who has to chase!!!!
@Nessmissesmum Its terrible that you have to jump through hoops to get an item you paid for and on the date you were promised it.

Keep the faith! Ours has just arrived - via Hermes not Royal Mail tracked as we were promised - without any warning. Very happy son and very relieved Mum!. Our Hermes courier always comes in the evening and I just wish Nintendo had communicated properly and I wouldn't have spent all day stressed and hoping....
@joh1121 totally agree. I think Nintendo U.K. Store haven't had to deal with a new release like this. The demand for the new 3ds xl would have been much lower. It's more that if this had been looked into on my first call it wouldn't have been so bad, had to make 3 calls in the end! Will keep you posted fingers, toes and legs firmly crossed!
It sounds like I'm in the same situation as most of you on here, I made an account just to post about this issue. Although its reassuring to know I'm not the only one experiencing this issue its also extremely frustrating. After all preorders had sold out locally and Amazon's predicted delivery date was a week or so after launch I emailed the uk Nintendo store asking if I ordered the switch from them would it arrive on March 3rd. They replied saying yes it would but since then I've emailed them twice and heard nothing. I had the same two emails most people seemed to get (one saying it would arrive today and the next saying it would arrive between the 7th and the 8th of March). Still no news I don't even know who is delivering my switch as the Royal Mail reference number doesn't work.....
@jkugler Our tracking number didn't work either (and still doesn't!) and we got the email saying delivery 7-8 March ...don't give up hope (although I almost had!)

@Joh1121 I got that email on the 2nd, and my dispatch email I got at 8.02am. I'm not really in a position to ring them and nag and with no correct tracking number i'm basically stuck looking at the street occasionally.

@BillieBoo does it say who is delivering? The Royal Mail ones look like they're coming Hermes but other couriers might have sent the dispatch message once the package was on its way? Hope you get it soon
So it's 17:50 and still no Switch. I'm on the phone to their Customer Service again and I'm going to demand they tell me the tracking info as I'm hanging around work in the hope it's arriving today still.

I just completed a live chat with Hermes, asking if they could tell me if a package was due to be sent to my house without a tracking number. After giving them my name and address, lo and behold they gave me a tracking number!
Unfortunately the tracking number reveals that my Switch is in the Hermes hub and will take 2-3 days to deliver, which is what I was told after asking if there was a chance of it arriving today.
I'm not sure how accurate Hermes tracking is, but looks like I will be Switch-less till tomorrow at the earliest, Tuesday at the latest...
@3figures the only tracking number i have is from royal mail which doesnt work, ive had no other couriers email me either so it could likely be hermes, im hoping anyway. Nintendo should know better by now.

This whole situation has gotten more and more frustrating. I was so excited for today and Nintendo have honestly just completely ruined the whole experience. I really expected better and I do hope they offer some form of compensation.
@Jkugler Same. Honestly I don't think they'll do anything though. The only time they do something is if the press pushes, and I don't think the press has really reported it outside of a small mention on Eurogamer.

Just finished a live chat with Hermes and they said that they didn't have a delivery to my address. I ordered from Nintendo UK and the courier was supposed to be Royal Mail but the tracking hasn't been working since dispatching, same as most people. Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow :/

Completely agree with you. I have just wasted hours of my time sitting in the office waiting for someone to show up with switch. Still in the office and will wait till 8PM. Nintendo should provide us with an update

Good news- whilst I was chatting to the representative I refreshed my Royal Mail tracking page and it now finds the parcel!
Bad news is it's at their north west RDC and was only accepted at 18:21 this evening!!!
They've got a long way to go to ensure I get it today, lol

My tracking has just starting showing something and it seems at if the status changed to this:

When I look at "Where has my item been?", it says that the status changed to "Pre-advice Received" at 7:02PM today, which basically means that Royal Mail have been told that they're going to receive the item but actually haven't yet, despite the fact I was told that it was dispatched yesterday. Oh Nintendo.

It just seems a shame that so many people have made plans for it today where Nintendo could have just said something instead of basically giving us no answers all day. I wonder if Pre-advice at 7pm is even enough to get it tomorrow.

My Royal Mail tracking has now updated to indicate they've received the the item at their Regional Distribtion Centre. 24 hours after it was "dispatched". Disgraceful.

Finally got through to Nintendo customer care after a total of 4hrs on/off the phone, was told that my Switch is with Royal mail and it was upgraded to next day delivery but no sign of it, so the guy said I should get it tomorrow. I asked will I be getting any money back, he said I should be getting an email later with information on how much they are willing to give me.

i contacted RM as their live chat kept going on and off, the tracking number then started to work, it has been stuck on 'Pre-advice Received' all day, this means that Nintendo haven't even sent it out?? this is just getting worse and worse. hopefully it updates tomorrow, good luck all of you.

Oh well I know that I'm not getting it today. Since Nintendo assured me it was sent next day delivery tomorrow will request my order of Mario Kart to be cancelled and report the Switch as lost since no delivery and RM still showing it is at their North West RDC, making sure up and ready to ring at 08:30.

I also received the now infamous email yesterday evening with RM tracking number and estimated 7th/8th March delivery date for the console (with no record of the tracking number on the RM website). Then this afternoon I got the email saying due to a technical error, Hermes will be delivering instead (still today). Great! So I thought… After waiting in patiently all evening and frantically checking the Hermes website, I then see a ‘Delivery attempt made’ message at 19:42, but absolutely no sign of a Hermes courier anywhere on my street! Why am I not surprised?
Checking on the RM site I now have the ‘Pre-advice received’ at 19:02, so unfortunately a very similar story to the rest of you and NO SWITCH! Equally none the wiser about when/if I’ll ever receive it or which courier even has it at the moment.
In hindsight, I really should have stuck with Amazon who delivered BOTW early this morning as promised.
My launch day excitement has now all but dissipated, all I’ve got left to try is licking that game cartridge…

I feel cheated, figuratively, and I was going to type a massive metaphorical monologue on how Nintendo are like an ex who gave their love to someone else. But I'm too disappointed to get creative and have a laugh about it. I mean money was used, a lot, we made the effort to preorder ASAP with what should be the most trusted company to order a Nintendo Switch from. And we set aside plans and made our busy lives work around this day. And then there's Youtube notifications just popping up on my phone Nintendo uploaded this, Nintendo uploaded that. Well stop uploading and give us our Switches. I know its separate teams but at the end of a day, a chain is strong as its weakest link. Thanks for reading. I've just caught up with this thread having had the same issues with royal mail delivery and I thought I understood what had happened. Now though have the pre advice 1902 message on RM tracking and not sure whether to expect it tomorrow or Monday or what. They really have screwed up with this one.
Tomorrow I am going to check to see if the RM order has changed if not hearing a lot of people have gotten tracking info through MyHermes online Chat, that opens at 8am and Nintendo lines open 08:30.
UPDATE: Just did one last check on Royal Mail (I wasn't even sure if they would be delivering my order) and finally they recognised my tracking number. But all it says is-
Latest update: We have been notified that your item is being shipped by the retailer; the next scan will appear when we receive this item into our network.
What does this mean? I'm worried I won't even get the switch tomorrow now...
@Jkugler It means that Nintendo has registered the tracking Number with RM, the next email should be that it has arrived at the RM North West RDC.
To whether you get it tomorrow or not is going to depend on a few factors, if it has been sent 24hr and if RM have actually got it or who is delivering it.

@bekoruler It's okay the whole situation is already pretty depressing, I might try and call nintendo again in the morning if they haven't already replied to one of my emails... or maybe I should call RM? That might be more helpful in terms of getting my switch quicker.
@Jkugler I'm not even sure Royal Mail has it. I feel like it may have accidentally been sent to their system. After all Nintendo's system thought everyone's was being shipped via Royal Mail. Even though they evidently weren't.
I feel like Nintendo is the only person you can contact to get to the bottom of this.
@Jkugler I agree with @KageMaru though would suggest trying Myhermes online chat at 8 tomorrow as a lot of people seem to have had success with asking if they have an order for them coming from the HutGroup (nintendo UK store) which I am doing before I battle Nintendo.
@bekoruler well I didn't think they had it as the tracking number wasn't working all day but it suddenly started working so I assume it is with them. But I'll wait till tomorrow afternoon and if it hasn't arrived and Nintendo haven't replied to my emails I'll try calling again and hopefully I'll actually get through this time. I fear for the worst. I'm expecting them to ship Monday for Tue/Wed delivery. Hence the 7/8th estimate.
I have to say, the customer service is abysmal. I messaged them a couple of days ago to upgrade to express delivery (I believe they use DPD), but was told I couldn't change any details of my order. Only cancel and re-order (and presumably lose my pre-order).
@JJ1 Exactly the same with me, updated and on Royal Mail at 7.02pm. I doubt this will arrive tomorrow either and I'm back in work on Monday. Not happy, first and last time I buy direct from Nintendo, I could have got one from my local Argos this morning but they're all gone now.
@nintendlife why are you not making a new article about this debacle? Anyone would think you're under Nintendo's direct control or something. You create a article on the 'reassurance' Nintendo gave in advance but have gone very quiet now that turned out to be poppycock and it's all gone horribly wrong for so many of its loyal customers. What's going on? We need you guys to be our voice on this. I still haven't a clue when my switch will arrive. Still says pre notice was given at 1902 last night. Do I wait in today or not?

@JJ1 yep. I have the added complication of solo parenting my 5yo and 2yo sons today so keeping them occupied indoors all day while I wait for a non existent package, or missing the delivery if I go out is the added factor - so it would be lovely to hear something from Nintendo!

I'm still on the pre-advice stage which it's been on since 18:45 Thursday evening, and no updates by email or text. I guess mine isn't coming today.
I watched this thread all yesterday with both interest and hope, but that hope was taken away when my switch did not arrive. I've had no response to my e-mails from nintendo store or customer services. my RM tracking number now works but only pre-advice at 19:02 last night, and only accepted outward at north west RDC at 4:11 this morning so I won't be getting my switch until the estimated date of 8th to 9th march as per my original order dispatched e-mail - so disappointed in nintendo. I had messages via the official store assuring me I would have it by release day or before and how it was being delivered by next day delivery courier. I also then got the automative message everyone got saying about high value items being sent via fastest method next day courier, well sorry nintendo but you LIED!!!! I haven't got it and it's on a standard tracker with Royal Mail. the one amiibo i was able to pre-order for yesterdays release date, came yesterday via RM, the other amiibos came back on Nintendo store yesterday (so I ordered them) and they have been dispatched and have the exact same tracking notifications and dates with RM as the switch I pre-ordered in January!!
I'm glad we are all at least here for each other... It's so ridiculous Nintendo is putting us through this. My tracking number finally started working last night at 7pm, then at around 1am said it was at North West RDC, despite I live in the South East, hasn't changed since. No email either to say I'll be getting it today.
When it comes to preorders are we entitled to getting it day one or is it just that it is just expected to arrive day one? Just want to know so I can see how firm a ground I can have whilst trying to get compensated. Also I can refuse their solution if its something stupid like 20% off the next purchase over £40 right? I mean cmon we all built our week on making yesterday the least stressful day so we can be ready for the knock on the door. Also expensive, I wouldn't mind so much if they hadn't taken the money yet but that's where it hurts otherwise I'd go elsewhere and try to get one... then again I live about 30 miles away from the nearest towns big enough to have an Argos or Game shop so the travel cost would be another hindrance. I probably come across as cheap but that's justified by the amount already spent. Fingers crossed.

Curiousity made me contact Hermes and apparently they have a parcel for me being sorted at the national hub since 6am yesterday morning Im Not expecting anything to be delivered so it has to be it. Not looking good for delivery today for me anyway
Getting £16.99 compensation from Nintendo after speaking to Daniel.
Also an email from Daniel to confirm that Royal Mail were updating my order from 48HR delivery to 24HR, so wait for that then onto RM to get their stance on the story, not giving up on this.

spoke to David at nintendo, he spent 5 minutes insisting it was with royal mail and it was only after i told him to be sure of what he says as i will take this complaint further did he go and check and told me its with Hermes.
Whats worst, it only arrived at hermes on the 3rd and hermes wont guarantee its today ill get it.
@Scamp the guy I spoke to first more or less told me with compensation all i would get is store credit and that would have to go through the admin team, spoke to a manager and Got £16.99 which is better than the £14 I got told I could get yesterday.

@KageMaru best bet is to call and ask about compensation when they say what they can do request to speak to a manager, they have the ability to just issue it, if you're not happy with that tell them you don't think that is appropriate and how you can go further with the complaint.
Getting my Switch today getting delivered by Hermes now, so should be here between 8 -12 fingers crossed

@gingerbeardman The problem is best people on here seem to be getting is £17, which is frankly nothing compared to what people lost by taking the day off. It's also nothing in comparison to all the aggro, annoyance and worry which we all spent yesterday doing. It's especially nothing in comparison to all the time we've collectively spent on their rubbish phone system which they kept cutting us off of after being on hold for 30+ mins.
I know one thing for sure - if it gets left on the doorstep without a signature I will be claiming non-delivery
I am so disgusted to see, that this conversation has had to keep going. PLEASE believe me, when I say I do feel for how you are feeling, as the same thing happened with my Wii U. I pre ordered just like everyone else, but got it 2 days later. I do realise this is slightly different, we have all been waiting for what seems like a decade, and by all accounts, nearly 65,000 did not get their SWITCH consoles yesterday because of incorrect labelling on the parcels. That was commented on the TV by someone from DPD, The Royal Mail and Hermes (no mention on Yoodal???).
My friend who lives opposite me, was in the exact same position as most of you last night. but over night, his Track from Royal Mail has moved on t say, "Delivery due Today"

@SammiiCake I explained that Nintendo had made a huge mistake and gave them my name and postcode. Was told delivery expected by 1pm from an online retailed and got the tracking number when I asked for it
My box has the RM 48 tracked label underneath the Hermes one. Must be the only time ever that Hermes has been faster delivering anything.

I've contacted both Hermes and Yodel last night and neither of them have my package. My RM tracking has been on "Pre-advice received" since 7:02pm last night like most people. So I've basically been completely left in the dark since the 2nd when it was dispatched. No real information at all.

Just spoke to a guy called Rob from RM (Who was actually in the same situation waiting for the Switch, ironically) and said that they received an email this morning saying that Nintendo are slowly switching everyone to Hermes and that Nintendo prematurely sent out emails to people and stuck on the RM stamps (which explains why people got their switch delivered by Hermes with the RM 48H Stamp on and that RM haven't received some of the switches in their network). Either way, he seemed really nice but informed me that I'd have to get in touch with Nintendo since I contacted Hermes yesterday and they told me that they didn't have an order on route to my address. Bummer, but I'll probably try Hermes again.
@Joh1121 You need to contact the online chat on myhermes, they then give you a code to use on hermesworld.

I did get my other 2 parcels today from the store via royal mail, just no console. But 3 out of 3 missing launch day delivery is a bit extreme lol.
Just spoke to Nintendo again, asked to be put straight through to manager this time, who stated that it is still RM, and that they are all RM and have all been upgraded to 24hr instead of 48hr, but the tracking system may not show that yet, so basically it could come Monday or Tuesday rather than Wednesday or Thursday. Still nothing on compo but he told me i would have to write in with my complaint and request for compo - this would go direct to him and he would pass to relevant department. I've emailed Nintendo three times and heard nothing back. I tried calling yesterday and was put of hold for 50 minutes before being cut off. I'm now been on hold this morning for 45 minutes.... I've also messaged Hermes and had no response I am so so frustrated and angry at this point I don't know what to do.
I've had no contact from Nintendo this whole time and I'm just at a complete loss about what to do.... I don't know where my order is or who has it.... I can't even leave the house in case it arrives. Nintendo won't reply to emails or pick up the phone after putting me on hold for almost an hour......

If you are looking for any titles to download, I can def. recommend FAST RMX, if it is your kind of thing. Even if you have the original with DLC, the new content, maps, vehicles and now 10 Tournaments, added with amazing graphical effects, makes it a worth while buy. It is Shinen at their absolute best.

@akaDv8R Thanks. Yeah, that was one of the first things I gave a try when I first turned on the console. I was always interested in RMX Neo on the Wii U but never got round to buying it, so getting RMX FAST on the Switch seemed perfect. I only did three races but seems really good so far!

After an hour on the phone to Nintendo yesterday, they dispatched mine at 6:30pm, I was told by support staff if that happened before the end of yesterday I'd be guaranteed to receive it today.
Called Gnewt courier and they have no-one who can access the tracking information in until Monday, but they apparently do have couriers delivering. The tracking number I have says between 2nd-3rd of March which is obviously wrong at this point.
Another 2 hour call to Nintendo and all they can say is call the courier, it's not our issue anymore...
I've been in the office since 9:00 am waiting on what is likely a lost cause.
Got through to Nintendo and long story short they just told me to call royal mail but I tried and its just an automated service so I can't get through and I don't want to call Nintendo back and be on hold for another 2 hours. The worst is Nintendo mine was dispatched on the second but my tracking thing on Royal Mail says they are still waiting to receive it....

Try going on myHermes live chat if you haven't already, say you don't have a tracking number and if you can use your name and postcode to track your parcel. If it's with Hermes, you might have a chance to get it today

How are you getting through to RM?? When I called its jut am automated system and I can never get to speak to a real person it always just tells me they can't help track my item then hangs up

So yesterday around half 1 was sitting there waiting for my Switch as stuff normally delivers around 2 ish I was thinking to myself "hmm what else will I need... OH! A USB C charge cable for when I'm in the car!" places order on ebay few minutes later "Awesome" I thought that would be really handy... aaaaand well thats arrived but still no Switch :/
Finally got my Switch arrived just after 11, delivered by Hermes a day late but at least i have it now .
it's a miracle! I finally found out who has my order, it was with Hermes. Thanks for the suggestion of asking the Hermes live chat! Hopefully my Switch will arrive today but I've not been given a proper expected delivery date, they just said to allow for it to arrive till 6pm today and then if not 48 hours.
@Jkugler That's alright! It's likely you'll get it today then since a lot of people who have been getting it from Hermes have got it today, but don't get your hopes up too high!
@SammiiCake well it says it was on it was "on its way to the courier" at 5 this morning so hopefully that means it'll be on its way to me soon. I'm not really sure. I hope you get your soon as well also don't worry Nintendo have already crushed all my hopes and dreams..
One thing that I thought was a bit weird maybe was "Missing Pre-Advice" as the first tracking status
just received an e-mail following my e-mail to customer services yesterday and phone call this morning (no answer from nintendo store yet but they don't work saturdays apparently) the e-mail says they apologise and they will refund £21.50 off my order as this is the maximum compensation amount. Well sorry nintendo my phone bill will be more than this i will be submitting a claim to cover the phone calls and two days annual leave so get ready for compo closer to the £200 mark!!!
Well I honestly think mine is with RM after chat with myhermes, they don't have any parcels for my address... I've given up all hope of getting it until next week now. So much for pre-ordering and Next Day Delivery, will never order from Nintendo Uk store again. Two very disappointed daughters, all excitement gone.....
Hermes has my parcel at the national sorting hub since yesterday at 0939. I'm guessing there is no chance of it today then.

Trying to stay optimistic, but I did get a phantom ‘Delivery attempt made’ message via the Hermes tracking yesterday evening at 8pm, so not sure how much truth there is in any of their updates to be honest.
With a few hours of potential delivery time, I’m still hopeful that it will arrive today so the whole weekend hasn’t been completely wasted. Will try to keep you posted!
Also, congrats to all those who finally received theirs today too! grrr

oh guess what just been contacted by my phone provider and given a extra charge that had to be paid by card straight away for phoning a non geographical number - Nintendo today cost me £23 thats going against a claim to Nintendo too
Advice for anyone after a USB-C cable, don't cheap out as there's loads of bad ones around. I found this out when finding one for my phone to connect to my car head unit to do Android Auto.
I got one at Tesco in the end after trying about two others, none of them except for the Tesco one would work. Some of the cheaper ones may also damage your device, they put the wrong resistor value in them.
I'm using my Moto Z charger to charge the Switch when playing+charging away from the TV.

mine has just arrived guys , same situation with the 2 email saying 6/7 March royal mail tracking that says pre advice , was just delievered my hermes they rang the bell and just left it on the porch , half tempted to claim none delievery ! this whole delievery process has been a shame and will never use the official store again, even went out and bought the wii u version of zelda as I've been waiting 6 years for this game , I'm about 7/8 hours in so don't really want to start again on the switch version !

@Joh1121 got email from Nintendo to say getting a refund of 14 quid which is max. But got a second email to say they are refunding17 quid as well. So not even sure how much they are refunding.

I'm in exactly the same position as most here. Ordered from Nintendo received an email confirming I would get it on launch day and to disregard the dispatch note only to find it was sent to the distribution ctr at 1 this morning.
I have bought loads of things from the Nintendo store in the past but I'm not so sure going forward.
A console launch is a "special" thing and they have basically ruined it..... all the excitement has gone. What a shambles. They need to look at another company to run the official store.
Still couldn't tell me where the order is though!

Also, if you're getting the pro-controller, don't bother getting a USB-C cable, it comes with one (that's obviously what the USB port on the Switch dock is for).

@MajorBen lots are still waiting that I've seen on Twitter, myself included, seems common factor is sat in RM centres now..... Most didn't get preadvice until Saturday morning.Think that proves they were never dispatched on time and yet emails did say next day.....dare I get my hopes up for tomorrow....
The lucky ones got their orders reallocated to be shipped by Hermes, which is a very strange thing given how slow Hermes usually are. The unlucky ones got theirs accepted by Royal Mail and are therefore on a 48 hour tracked service, essentially 2nd class mail.

@Joh1121 Mine arrived Saturday morning. If it was with RM it would be more like Tuesday. That's lucky for me. But it seems both RM, Hermes and DPD all were overloaded.
From looking back at previous royal mail tracking for previous orders as comparisons i'm hoping mine might make it's way to me tomorrow, but not getting too excited yet, i will only get excited if i getup tomorrow to find an e-mail from Royal Mail saying they are going to attempt delivery.

@Joh1121 i had an e-mail from customer services offering me £21.50, I have not submitted my official complaint and request for real compensation yet as i want to wait until my switch is here (can use info from packaging and the real date I get it within the letter, along with all the other e-mails ect). i just e-mailed them back stating that £21.50 is nowhere close as it cost me an extra £23 in phone charges phoning them up.

@brumspurant did you only message official store? I have not had any respose from the messages i sent via official store. The response i got was from e-mailing nintendo customer services after i phoned them up too, they mentioned my phone call in the e-mail response (the e-mail was sent day before i phoned them (Friday), but in their reply to my direct e-mail they mentioned my phone call from that morning on Saturday).
got text & e-mails from Royal mail stating they are going to attempt delivery today - guess what they are also delivering the items i ordered from Nintendo store uk on Friday at the same time!
@Scamp I've emailed the customer support as well. Several times. And phoned customer support. Nothing.
@brumspurant Only thing i can think of is that the second time i phoned i asked to be put straight through to the manager and i spoke to him.
@Scamp I have found the responses (or lack thereof) from the Nintendo Store so upsetting and frustrating. I spent an hour on the phone to them (on hold) during my lunch break on Thursday with a query, and nothing. How long did it take for you to get a response from them?
@petec I e-mailed both the official store and customer services on Friday morning (still no reply from official store, got e-mail reply on Saturday from customer services - but not till later after i spoke to the manager on the phone). i tried phoning either two or three times on Friday but got cut off because they closed their lines, and I also gave up on another occasion. I phoned on Saturday at 8.30 when lines opened and it took around 50 mins to get through, but I didn't get any help from the person I spoke to (I stupidly forgot to ask to speak to manager), I rang again and was on hold well over an hour around 1 hour 15 - 20 mins on hold then spoke to manager. The phone calls on Saturday cost me an EXTRA £23 IN PHONE CHARGES THOUGH.
@Scamp yay mine just turned up at home apparently. Delivered by Hermes. Still no word from Nintendo though. Will be filing my official complaint now I have it.

Make sure you do file a complaint, everybody needs to file a complaint otherwise they will just ignores us all, we need to show them the upset and inconvenience they have caused us these last few days. If they had at least been honest about it and sent us a message telling us there may be delivery problems you may get it late ect instead of first sending info saying don't worry you will defo get it on release day and by next day courier, and then completely blanking us all and not giving any information, sure we would still have been upset and inconvenienced but by nowhere near as much as we have.
Finally it's arrived, delivered by RM, hope those waiting gets theirs today too. Time to raise an official complaint...

I have just had a text from a family member saying it has been delivered, no signature required! Did they really just send out £340 worth of goods without requiring a signature?
I can't wait to get home and play with it, but I will be pursuing my complaint through to the end!
@petec good on you, but you need to make an official complaint in writing by post to their head office rather than just by e-mail. Yes Standard RM tracker do not require signature, my orders worth over £430 and i know i will not have to sign for it.
Hoping mine comes soon, RM normally deliver between 12 and 1pm at mine so now I keep looking out the window for signs of life.
Plus i will be getting two parcels today one which is my switch order with sp ed zelda and pro controller (pre-ordered in January) second will be the zelda amiibo i ordered on 3rd march so in fact my goods will be totalling almost £500 which i will not need to sign for.

Mine has just come at last! (along with the amiibo I ordered on the 3rd of march - next day delivery my a**e!) both are standard 48hr trackers. both released for dispatch on 3rd March and both getting to Royal Mail on the 4th March.

@petec not going to be doing anything with it right now, need to go hunt the games/accessories i couldn't get that sold out before because i was sat around like an idiot waiting for my switch. Managed to track down a decent case and 1 2 switch at a near argos just not my local one, so i have reserved them and will go out to get them shortly, can't track down bomberman though all sold out!
@Scamp I've just ordered an ORZLY temprered glass screen protector and hard case from Amazon which came to £20.88. I don't plan on putting my switch in the dock immediately! Haha! not until that's arrived and I've got something soft stuck inside the dock. Seeing as I'm going home through town today, I'll be picking up some felt floor protectors from Wilkos to stick in the dock as per the guide on Nintendo life!
@petec yeah i was looking at tempered glass screen protectors because it seems the standard stick on plastic ones seem to peel off prob due to heat when docked, trouble is i've heard bad things about the tempered glass ones too, people have reported that due to heat of switch when docked it interferes with the glue on the tempered glass protector making it look like there are scratches/cracks on the screen. i don't think the switch was designed in mind of screen protectors
@Scamp I hadn't heard about that, however with tempered glass screen protectors you need to wait a little while for the adhesive to cure, so it's likely if you leave it a few hours/day before it gets serious play time in the dock it will be fine.
That said, I'm currently looking into a 3d printed stand, or maybe the hori one for playing and charging. I have a few power banks with 2.4A outputs that should be able to do something to extend portable play times!

oh had another call from our phone provider with another charge for phoning nintendo up another £93 in charges that makes it £116 in phone charges alone trying to find out from Nintendo where the hell my switch was and what was going off. I couldn't believe it!
Great for the ones that receive it. I AM still waiting for mine to arrived. Hermes Lost it. I'M so upset right now. I have to wait for an internal investigation and then they will send me a new one it's ridiculous!!!
