@Calllack I see your point, and I agree in part. Along with the sentiment that the amount of text could make for some long winded dialogue scenes from another post. On the other hand, FFX did a great job in their voice acting, creating a vibrant world and nailing the length of cut scenes. Sure its like a movie script, but if the games pacing is well done the voice acting really adds to it. When a character laughs you can actually feel the emotion (not the on repeat cackling of the Skull Kid for instance). When you are asked a question you actually give a response and the character seems smart. No offence but half the time link is treated like a moron, and its derived from Nintendo's decision to give him no voice. I'm not saying make him the star actor of the game, just give him a few real lines, enough to make us connect with what the character is feeling in some scenarios, if it was properly done it would be great.
Loving these choices, would like to see Nintendo be a bit more confident and give some of their main characters voices with extended dialogue , ahem, Link and Mario. I recall when Wind Waker came out and there was all this talk about Link having a voice and Myamoto said it was deliberately limited, so as not to make the gamers unhappy. However, it is my opinion that the character Link would do well to have a voice. Great voice acting would add an even greater amount of drama and mystery and depth to these already excellent games. Me: "Hey Link , what do you think of having a voice acted part?" Link: ". . . . ......................"
