Re: Sumo Digital Declares Wii U Capabilities to be "On Par" or Better Than PS3

Before anybody says anything (too late), this article was twisted out of context!

Eurogamer took the quote from an IGN article and made an inflammatory title out of it. Games journalism is a gift that keeps on giving. This is what was said:

"The game is “easily on a par [with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions],” says Lycett. “We’re still very much getting to grips with what we can make the hardware do [...]. So it’s hard to really answer that right now, but yeah, I think once we’ve had a bit more time finding our way around it, chances are you can look to do things that you may not be able to do before.”

Crazy chicken was actually a big franchise in germany and this is an adaption from a 2006 game. See, the replay value would have come from trying to beat the highscore by using the many secrets in the game that require different approaches and strategies everytime. But this mobile version doesn't feature many of these as well as the second level from the original release. also the clunky controls don't allow precise shooting. the developers didn't get the crux of the game when they remade it.

I don't know why everyone keeps talking about losing your system. The same thing applies for all downloads on the eShop. Weird how no one brought it up when they bought games like Pushmo, Sakura Samurai, and Dillion's Rolling Western.

I think we all know by now the good and bads of downloading software from the eShop, so don't try to make it seem like it's the worst thing to happen to the world. It's still an option for those who do want to use it. Also, doesn't the same thing apply if you buy a retail copy of the game and you lose the system with the game inside it? This has happened before.

Re: Preview: Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

@SteveW You are unnecessarily bitter about this game. It'll come out soon whenever it's ready.

OT: I can't wait for this game. Definitely up there with Castlevania and Fire Emblem. I feel like 2013 is going to be a good year.

Re: Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon Spooked Into 2013 For North America

People complain that too many Mario titles are coming out this year. Now people are complaining that Luigi's Mansion won't be coming out this year which decreases the releases of Mario titles for this year. Which is what people were complaining about in the first place!

Oh well, for me. I'm getting Paper Mario, Code of Princess, NSMB 2, Castlevania, the new Fluidity game (don't know why this wasn't posted!), and many other titles this year. So I'm good.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Financial Loss for First Quarter

@brucelebnd But, honestly speaking the eShop is a 1000x times better than the DSi shop was and ever will be. Just saying because I upgraded from a DSi myself. Not sure if DSiWare games will keep you from upgrading since the eShop has access to all DSiWare games and is backwards compatiable.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Financial Loss for First Quarter

@Mahe Well that's a completely other opinion. People can choose whenever the current line-up is worth their money or not. If you don't find it impressive compared to Japan's then that's you. I can still recommend a 3DS to anyone for the games already announced. If they don't like it, then oh well.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Financial Loss for First Quarter

@Mahe There are plently of games to buy, just not as many as Japan's. Some titles in Japan are built towards their audience, therefore some titles cannot be localized. Even if they did, they would no doubt have no effect on sales. I can't really name one title in Japan that would increase sales other than the ones confirmed to already being brought over.

Re: 3DS System Update Due Before 8th December

The new update seems to be taking effect in Japan. New Love Plus and Monster Hunter Tri G are getting demos off the e-Shop, though you can only play them 30 times. I can't wait to see what other games are going to get the demo treatment. Also can't wait to see how DLC is going to work out.

I just got my first StreetPass hit for this game (even though it's just the gamestop kisok's). The mystery box I went into was filled with 1-ups and two star medals! What a blast StreetPassing is!

Re: 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure

This is one of my favorite NES games, I would buy if I didn't have the Wii VC version. Can't wait to see the online video on the eShop though, so I can see the 3D effect.

Re: Review: Pyramids (3DSWare)

I hate this game, too unfair about many things, such as blocking the enemy attacks and brutal time limit. I also hate the fact that you have to earn a certain amount of stars to reach the next level. Pretty much requires you to obtain most of the stars from all of the stages, a real pain. Not only that the controls are faultly and I feel like the character have no real identity. I have only started level 3 and I have been having the game since it's release. The only good thing I can say about this game is the amazing 3D depth, one of best, but still not worth it unless you LOVE puzzle games. I'm not sure I'll ever play this game again.
