I mean £75 for Mario Kart sounds bad when you say it like that, but when you consider that it's the same as five bottles of the good olive oil from Tesco it doesn't sound so grim.
Probably a 6. My favourite bit was when that fella said something along the lines of, "As you can see, it's much more than just an upgraded Switch" while showing off what was an upgraded Switch.
Jokes aside, as a Nintendo fan it just didn't give me what I want. I don't care about ports of games I've played on other consoles already, and I don't care about motion controls or party chat in the year of our lord 2025. I basically want a Mario or a Zelda or a Xenoblade or a Paper Mario or a something new and exciting.
And so Mario Kart looked fine. I was into Donkey Kong. That looked rad. Gamecube games on the system is a big win. Other than that it was pretty underwhelming for me. That's fine though. I'll just get one when more first party games come out.
honestly i felt like i had a panic attack coming on reading this. my tiny brain can't even handle the implications of playing 99% of a game and then being like see ya. it'd be like stopping watching a tv show one episode before the finale so i can pretend my friends that live in the telly are having a big magical party forever while waiting for me to come back and ruin it by pressing play.
It's a great game and it'll be a good addition to the Switch line-up if it does come. I'll play it again, but on PS4 probably. Well, definitely. I don't know why I said probably.
I thought Mario Odyssey was pretty boring, but Zelda was really good. I also finished Mario and then turned my Switch off and never turned it back on again... until yesterday, when I started playing Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (I got it for my birthday) and I like it lots.
My favourite thing about this article is that practically everything Sony copied off Nintendo, Nintendo had already copied off somebody else. I mean innovated. Yes, innovated.
It looks like a garbage town service to be honest. But then I'm never going to play online games on Switch anyway, so it's kinda irrelevant. The only thing I'm interested in is seeing how the whole retro games thing works/what the games are. Depending on that, I may chuck some money at this.
Pokemon was already like a kids version of a JRPG so I don't see how making it even simpler is anything other than a regression for the series. Still, Pokemon is probably my favourite Nintendo series so I'll be keeping an open mind - or as open as it can be given how much this looks like the catastrophically boring Pokemon Go.
Hopefully you don't have to catch the Pokemon with motion controls because I don't know if I'll be able to get over that.
I have most of the apps on like twelve devices in my living room, so I'm not particularly bothered about any of them. The one thing I really, really want is some form of achievement system implemented, hopefully (but probably not) arriving when the online service does.

Re: Switch 2 Games Cost A Bit More Than You're Probably Expecting
Expensive, sure, but this is the company that sold you cardboard. It's not really surprising.

Five years old and still full price.
Re: Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers Officially Confirmed For Switch
Sweet I was just thinking the Switch needed another Dynasty Warriors style spin-off of a much, much better game.

Re: The World Ends With You: Final Remix Won't Support The Switch Pro Controller
No Pro Controller, no sale.
But then I wasn't going to buy it anyway so I don't suppose it matters really. The easiest form of protest.
Re: Wall Street Analyst Warns Of Slowing Nintendo Switch Sales
Anyone who didn't see this coming is living in a fantasy world. Of course sales were going to drop, and they probably will again. And again.
Does it matter? Not really. Nintendo has no direct competitors. As long as they turn a profit everything is okay.

Re: Nintendo Announces Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Let’s Go Eevee! For Nintendo Switch
It's quite an achievement to remake a video game from 1998 and somehow make it worse in practically every way.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Service Will Go Live This September
I'll pay it if we get to keep the games. If they're sticking to their absurd plans then naaaaah.
