@Lizuka These events happened pretty much word for word in a side quest in HeartGold and SoulSilver. When you bring an event CelebI to the Ilex Shrine after a certain point, you time travel see the events of the episode happen in game. Shortly after, you time travel again to the radio tower incident except at a Tohjo Falls. Giovanni is there listening to the radio broadcast about to rejoin Team Rocket. Then you battle him, beat him, and his ambitions are put on halt again.
So in all likelihood, there's likely not going to be a return of Giovanni in SuMo. Like you said, these seem to be going in order and it just so happens that Team Rocket had the most relevance in gen I, gen II, and their remakes. Future episodes will likely move onto Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos conflicts.
The game is set to release in 2018 at the ABSOLUTE least. The Wii u would be lucky to survive past 2017 at this rate. This doesn't account for the inevitable Murphy's law delays that they themselves admit are possible. Optimizing their game for the relatively weak Wii u would just unnecessarily delay the release longer for a possibly dead console.
@Captain_Gonru How the buzzer works is that, in multiplayer, there is a spotlight that goes over the contestants and they can ONLY tap their card when it is above them. If they tap the wrong card, they can't answer the question that turn.
Also, not all the minigames in amiibo festival are [competitive] multiplayer. Acorn Chase, Mystery Campers, Resetti Bop, and Desert Island Escape are for one player only.
