Re: Talking Point: E3 Highlighted Nintendo's Development Shift Towards NX, and Away from Wii U

furryfoxman

I'll enjoy the next 18 months of my Wii U and then start saving for an NX. In my view, at the very least it needs to compete in power with the PS4 and X BONE. It should offer backwards compatibility with Wii U Games via the option to sync your existing gamepad (much like Wiimotes now). For those without a Wii U there'll be an android app to turn your phone into a gamepad screen and a controller dock for your phone with dual sticks and all the buttons etc. Release major 1st party titles at NX launch : Mario Galaxy 3, Metroid, F-Zero NX, New Zelda ( Wii U and NX version) and possibly MK9. Offer a full VC access via small monthly subs, all systems up to and including the Wii. Finally access the android marketplace (NX re skin) for game access too. If it has all this I'll be happy and will buy day one!

Re: Poll: How Excited Are You About Nintendo's E3 Games?

furryfoxman

Yoshis Wooly World is coming next week (I'm in the UK) and after that it has to be Super Mario Maker. Me, my 7 year old son and my 5 year old daughter are currently hooked on creating levels in M vs. DK Tipping Stars. When I showed them the Mario Maker trailer they were so excited and are already counting down the days until 11th September!

Re: Feature: Our Hopes and Dreams for Nintendo at E3 2015

In no particular order the following would make me happy:
Mario strikers U would be amazing.
Nintendoland 2 : Amiibo Land - needs to happen as the dlc use is beginning to tire.
Mario Sunshine HD / 2 / Galaxy 3.
SNES remix.
Mario Kart 8 dlc - Classic battle mode.
Diddy Kong Racing 3ds.
Metroid Prime 4.
Stunt Race FX vc release.
New club nintendo reward details.
Wave Race 64 HD.
Star Fox U release date (2015).
Super Mario Maker - includes an over world map to add your own levels to - have to build a boss level for the end. Like Mvs.DK Tipping Stars have to complete first before you can share.
Nintendo x Universal : Theme Park Builder U
More 1st party demo's available.

Re: Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush Fails to Break Top 20 in UK Charts

furryfoxman

@RainbowGazelle Depends on your viewpoint here though. Kirby was advertised pretty much all week on CITV leading up to the release. So much so it went from a game I was never going to get, to one my kids both pestered me for, based on the adverts running during their favorite shows! As I already had an old VC Kirby game I qualified for 10% discount on the eShop, so for convenients sake I downloaded it Friday night (downloads don't count in the charts do they?) and all 3 of us have been enjoying it since! For me Nintendo got their marketing spot on, it reached the desired audience and forced a purchase of a game which it would not have othewise.

Re: Read The Full English Translation of Nintendo & DeNA's Presentation

furryfoxman

Having read all the other articles and now the full transcript I'm actually really excited about this. My 3 main reasons being:
1. Cross device purchases for nintendo games. I can imagine the new membership scheme allowing us to buy the next new mario game on Wii U and using our NNID then download a version on the N3DS and or your smartphone and tablet. How about downloading the next big 3DS game and then being allowed to link both my kids 2DS to the same NNID so they can also download the game at no extra cost.
2. Amiibo functionality on your phone. Most high end smartphones have an NFC chip right? So that means I can scan in my Amiibo collection and then when I'm out and about they interact with other people's phones/scanned amiibo. Which leads me to ....
3. Streetpass / spotpass on your phone. Imagine having your NNID and your Mii set up on your phone, exchanging Streetpass hits and doing Streetpass quest, puzzle quest and the like all on your mobile with the chance to sync up to your 3DS or Wii U or NX if you wish. It could be a way too give you a gamertag ( for want of a better term) to view and exchange with other nintendo NX users, logging and exchanging trophies/achievements/stamps and posting to Miiverse with your daily interactions etc!
Just a few thoughts I had about how this whole partnership could pan out and that's what is really exciting, there's so many opportunities for Nintendo to succeed.

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th January (Europe)

furryfoxman

I have £5.00 of e-Shop credit, so I'm getting the Prime Trilogy at an even lower price - gotta be one of the bargains of the last 5 years right there. I actually went to buy the disc release just before Xmas but couldn't find it any cheaper than about £40 so I'm glad I held off now!

Re: Bayonetta 2

furryfoxman

Does anyone know if all UK versions come with the original Bayonetta or do I have to get a "special edition" to get both together?
