Nintendo is forgetting that many people live around players who are not interested in Nintendo games, as dumb as it may sound. My friends, for example, have absolutely no desire to check out the Mario games on Wii U (instead, they are interested in games like CoD or GTA) , so all my Nintendo games are enjoyed through the Single Player modes. The only one who would be interested in playing with me is someone out-of-town, and without Online, Mario 3D World will be nothing more than a Single Player game for me.
Huh... I guess Bravely Default isn't going to be the game I was hoping it to be. Sorry Square-Enix, but I am not interested in purchasing a game for $39.99 and then get pop-up messages about how I could pay a dollar or two to defeat a boss more quickly.
Sounds great! I mean sure, its not a perfect Sonic game apparently, but I am fine with a 'decent' or even 'good' Sonic game since I have been a fan of every game that I have played so far in the series.
Thanks for the review! I don't regret pre-ordering it and I look forward to the good moments of the game. Also, I am kind of in the mood for frustration, the last few games I've played have been too relaxing. Wind Waker HD in particular was too good in terms of mechanics, I haven't made a single slip-up or gotten a single Game Over screen!
If a remake is selling the Wii U, then imagine what'll happen when we get the Mario, Mario Kart and the new Zelda games. I am not saying its going to be a Wii-like seller, but ... Not bad.
@erv I absolutely agree with Nintendo that the Wonderful 101 is one of the most interesting new IPs and basically what everybody has been asking for... But I am very worried about it because there seems to only be a handful of fans. I really don't think it will be on many people's christmas wish-list, unfortunately.
I am not too excited to play this game on Wii U; in fact, I think I will leave these 'triple A'-titles for much later on when I decide to buy one of next-gen system. Its not that I don't trust Ubisoft or anything, but Watch Dogs does look like a game made for these two new systems.
As excited as I am for the game, I don't see a reason to pre-order it. I am pretty sure there will be copies left on the second and third day, and I will be able to check out reviews beforehand. Not that I don't believe the game to live up, I just want to make sure. It does seem like an entirely different game, so there is a little room for error with the new mechanics and the level design and all.
I am a little sad that I picked up the original DS game a while ago. I think I would have enjoyed the Millennium Girl more because of the narrative, but I would feel a little sorry to buy this version of the game even though I basically already own it on the DS.
I am not very well acquainted with how the business works, but is a company like Retro Studios, for example, an internal studio of Nintendo? Was Rare an internal studio of Nintendo?
If so... Why not just get companies like WayForward and make them internal studios? Platinum Games certainly seems to be going in the direction, they were almost given rights to Nintendo characters!
I mean seriously, I want a StarFox or F-Zero game made by Platinum Games. Can they please acquire Platinum Games?
@Samurai_Goroh I always want to complete games that I love 100%, and I just think achievements are a nice way to track that because sometimes you might miss something without knowing you missed it. There are some games like Mario and Luigi: Dream Team that track every single collectible already, but most games do not do that. I don't like a system like that for competition's sake, I just want it for myself for tracking progress, like I said.
Am I going to be considered an idiot for wanting an achievement system? I love 100% games either way, but I'd like that to show on my account if that's at all possible, just so I can track my progress.

Re: Feature: Time to Vote For Your Game of the Year 2013
I had to vote for Mario and Luigi: Dream Team as my favorite game of this year. It was.. A magical experience, I felt childlike wonder!
Re: Marty Reminds 3DS Users What Not To Do On Miiverse
For everyone who asked:
You get friend codes by asking your friends who have a 3DS for their friendcodes.
I have never seen the appeal of adding random strangers. Just add people you know, and that's that. Maybe I am just missing something...

300 Hours... That's ... Wow
I barely have 50.
