I still don't understand why Nintendo doesn't give you the option to automatically start a disc based game on startup. The Wii didn't either. If I'm only turning on the system to play the game in the disc tray then why do I have to wait for the menu screen to load just so I can click on the game's icon and load the game up?

I wish Nintendo would release Star Fox on the Virtual Console. Never got a chance to play it.

I guess the penalty for falling off the course is a lot less severe. Didn't seem long at all for the guy to put him back on track.

It used to be really funny collecting Pokemon cards in the 90s. I'm glad kids these days have that oppurtunity. It's always cool to have a collectible "physical" item. These look pretty cool too. I like the 3D popping out look (maybe its to match the 3DS?)

Why can't the Wii U (or Wii for that matter) boot up a disc automatically without having to load the main menu screen first? All other consoles give u the option to just open the disc based game automatically when you turn on ur system. Never understood why Nintendo changed this with the Wii.

Can I have items shipped to America?

NES games should be played in SD to get the most out of it. Seems odd to play games that were designed for full screen in a widescreen format.

Can someone please tell me how I can play the free DLC Trial pack. I already downloaded it, I just don't know how to acess the trial courses, don't see them anywhere?

Seems like good timing. I just recently saw a coming soon commercial for it on Toonami. Not sure if it's tommaro or not, but with the show premeiring soon its a good time for a game.

For those that have played Wii Party U, can you tell me if it's any good for solo play? I know the focus is multiplayer but is it worth it for mostly just solo? Also is it worth it over Zelda WW HD if I've already played and beatin the Gamecube version? (I have the other two games already in North America.)

What ever happened to Flipnote Studio 3D? Wasn't that suppose to come to the west almost a year ago?

I also always liked how the GBC would play old GB games with a little bit of color added. I wish they would add that feature to original GB games on the virtual console.

From what I can see I have 5 of those Game Boy games in the first picture. My favorite system (and first.), although I started with the Game Boy Color, but had a lot of older games from my brother.

Im bummed its not coming to 3DS, was looking forward to it. Also, they didn't explain why it will be on PS Vita and not 3DS, especially since there was already a 3DS build for it.

@Frapp Actually I meant the sticker in the middle of the box. It's a round brownish thing. (Actually it might be half red, half black, its hard to tell.)

At around 00:58 in the video, what are those stickers on Mario Bros. and Ice Climbers boxes. They look kinda like footballs.

So what generation is the Wii U considered then? I mean I know it's not as graphically powered as PS4 or X1 but it is technically part of this "next" generation. The Wii wasn't even in HD when PS3 and X360 were, yet no one had any problem including them in the same generation. Just dosen't make sense to me. Regardless of hardware specs, the Wii U is part of the "next gen" consoles whether people like it or not.

Reminds me more of the Gamecube's AC tropical island.

This is a real bummer, I don't have a PS4 or X1 or a PC powerful enough. I have a 360 but its not on that either. They should make a Wii U version. It's my next gen platform of choice but it seems like developers are shunning it because its getting all this undeserved hate. I know there's a business issue (they may feel it won't sell well), but I mean the Wii U can't succeed if 3rd parties won't give it a chance and put out some games for it. It's not getting support becuase its not selling as well, but its not selling as well becuase it's not getting support. I love my Wii U, has aswome games, who cares if it's not as powerful, I mean either was the N64, or Gamecube but those were fantastic consoles with great games, so is Wii U. It deserves better treatment.

@Metal_Slugger I agree that old games look better on a fullscreen sdtv. I still use mine for gaming even with my 360 and Wii U. Unfortunatly, the PS4 and the Xbox One don't support the input/output cables needed for a sdtv, it only uses HDMI output.

I like the fullscreen TV too. Way better for playing retro games on than an HD TV. Cool to see his kids enjoying the classics too, not much kids would have that option nowadays.

Is that a year of luigi booklet in the background as well or is that the box it comes in? Dosen't show up in the club nintendo north american image either.

Can someone help me on how to use the 24 hour pass. I loaded the game up for the first time, picked my Club(region thing), then the two sports were just grayed out. The only options I had were Settings and Profile.

I can't figure out how to get the free 24 hour pass. I just downloaded it and the 2 sports are greyed out. I don't understand.

Great video. I missed out on NES but that still reminded me of the days where I used to go over my friend's house and play N64.

Will this include more challenge levels like in the original NSMBU?

Will you have to push a button to dash when you play with the dpad like when playing without a numchuck on the wii?
