You probably mean tensions headaches. A lot of people confuse those with migraines. Trust me, those who have actually gotten migraines do know how debilitating they can be. And others that say things like "I get them all the time" probably aren't getting actual migraines. I've never gotten migraines from framerate problems, just regular headaches and nausea but some people are probably more sensitive than others. Just as some people are sensitive to flashes and get seizures and others don't.
@TG16_IS_BAE
P.S. I have come to the conclusion that my migraines are hydration and stress related, and I get them with auras which are annoying af and hurt like a bitch that 80% of the time I get them I have to throw up. So yeah, for me, life HAS to stop for several hours to half a day.
(Response is to Apportal but included both because of the argument)
@Jokerwolf Technically we're just buying stuff in the U.S. which happens to be made in China. We can't control where stuff is made. But what we can do is talk with our hard earned cash. And if a company we have supported for a long time is against free speech then they are against us. So deciding to boycott them makes sense. At least that's my take on the whole situation.
If no one has played this game before, just be prepared for a TON of dialogue. I think it's better to come in knowing beforehand than getting a little turned off after being hyped for it. It's like either the same or more than Super Paper Mario for Wii. Personally I feel it does remove a few points from the overall experience. But it is a fun game.
@HauntingNostrils So no one is allowed to say their observations about something? I think judgement would sound something like "damn, that skinny girl, so obsessed with looking like a model, it doesn't fit her" or "she should really eat something or she'll disappear lol" or other types of judgmental statements which I haven't seen.
Stating what someone observes in a comment section in a gaming site shouldn't be censored because of people getting offended by reading them. Call out people being a*holes go ahead I have no problem with that. But you said it in general and I didn't see anyone here being rude. And most are actually about crappy photoshop that was done.
@HauntingNostrils I mean she really does look unhealthily skinny. Like close to anorexic. And I don't mean that in a 'judgmental' way, it's more like in a 'worried for her health' way which seems to be the general consensus here. I mean, there exists 2 extremes, fat-obese and skinny-anorexic and both are not good for your health and can cause depression and sometimes death. It's stuff to worry about.
Strangely enough, I'm more addicted to gaming news than actual gaming. I can manage my gaming time, but not my "check online for new gaming news time". I even check it in working hours...
Oh you simple minded people. The only reason for this is because Nintendo is developing the New Super Nintendo Ultra 64 Extreme Edition Switch. See... rolls off the tongue!
Hey does anyone know how I can take off the lag when moving the cursor (right joystick)? For some reason, if I move the joystick slightly the cursor doesn't move. It's not a lag per say, but a very small bounding box that I can't seem to remove. I'm loving the game but this tiny issue does mess with my experience a bit. I use a pro controller, and have played Skyrim, and it doesn't happen in that game. Any help is greatly appreciate it.
hmmm, some people are "tired" of the old pixel art style... "it was great years ago".... Will you guys ever "tire" of new realistic art style? Or super edgy futuristic style? Oh wait, this is called variety. Please, I would like to know, cause it really really really makes you guys sound dumb when you say these things. "Ugghh, another fps...with guns...that you shoot people....eewww, so tired of it, eeew eeww eewwww"
Like maybe some indies have limited budget but a good idea in mind like just maybe.
@Mikemario @chachi It's... a ... freaking.. game. Who cares what intentions a person has when enjoying entertainment? If a guy gets off by killing people in GTA that's his right, it's all in his head. Same with "sexualizing" inanimate objects. If these people do messed up things in real life then there is a problem and people are being affected. Whatever fantasies one has, if they don't crossover to the real world why get offended by what one might or might not think? Oh please don't let people smoke in movies or games because then you'll want to smoke and then get addicted and then get cancer and then expose other people to said smoke and then they might get cancer too. Let's all make a movement to ban smoking from video games guys please!
Sorry for the rant but I get triggered when people get offended for stupid reasons, especially with the whole "over sexualizing women" thing. Sex sells, and you can tell by how popular the game is and that's not going to make all Japan rape little girls. Don't have the statistics but sexual violence in Japan is really really low if not rare compared to other first world countries, and they have some messed up stuff. Same with gun violence in games. So this idea of a correlation between games and real life is just not true and irrelevant.
@Al_Godoy exactly, so what's worse? Shooting a fake (human modeled) man's brains out or groping a fake (not remotely human related) young looking lady? For some reason we're desensitized to gun violence making the first option more "normal' or okay. And i'm with you, it's all a type of art and no one is being affected and it's all FICTION. Don't like it, don't play it or watch it. People should stop making arguments and getting offended for every freaking thing, it's getting really annoying.
@impurekind
Oh look a video I don't like. It's been almost a minute, maybe I should stop watching it because it doesn't interest me. Nah, should finish seeing it and then get offended.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this. Being that the Switch is based off the Nvidia Shield concept and technology. What would the chances be that while you have your Switch at home, you can stream games to it from your computer using GameStream. This way all your PC library can be playable on your Switch.
This is a win win for both devs and Nintendo. Once the Switch sells like hotcakes then devs can start porting or making new games from the ground up for Switch. Nintendo wins cause all PC gamers will most likely buy the Switch too.
I don't know, I think it's a good opportunity if implemented well. The tech already works with the Shield.
I literally just registered to say that most of the articles here especially this one are very well written. I'm no literature guy, but this stuff looks very professional. Makes me feel like I'm reading a magazine. Congratulations and keep up the good work nintendolife.
