Exactly what happened to me today. Lol. I almost freaked out this article is about me, because i posted about it on twitter. I had to travel across the country to visit my family and my Pikmin were sent to do expeditions right before i boarded my bus.
They are now walking back from the expeditions and it's gonna be 1 day and a few hours to reach me... Little did they know, i'm gonna travel a bit more soon...

Well, yes. Mainly imported from england. Even my 3DS has a UK charger, so I had to get a converter for it(We have europlug here). Some other stores imports from Australia since they also have european-type games, which works with the UK consoles. But the main importer was the Stadlebauer(Austrian). So there are really many kind of imports, but mainly the European & english languaged games. Now that Nintendo has ended their contracts with Stadlebauer, things will change a bit, but as I said there are a lot of stores that import from elsewhere. We are not really a big country so Nintendo don't really see us as a potential market, but We do our best to make a great Nintendo community here with meetings and events even if it's not official. Anyway I think I had whined enough for today.

I'm Hungarian. We use metric system here. But since Hungary don't really have Nintendo support(just imported games) I need to set my country to England to have working services on Nintendo Consoles. Everyone does the same in Hungary and pretty much other countries that don't have Nintendo servers. So It is as annoying to be forced to use stones and pounds as for you to use kph in racing games.
These thing should be optional for every user, not determined by country settings.
In Wii I had the freedom to change country any time, but in wiiU if I set it to an other country that uses kg/cm I can't use the internet anymore in my profile...
