@Clyde_Radcliffe AC is slowly becoming a decorating/dress-up simulator. Cool I guess, but I really wish I could still get screamed at by a middle-aged mole.
Nice to hear the original is making its Switch debut. I hope many new people are introduced to this charming series. May finally pick up Mystery Journey if it does come to Switch. From the reviews I've read it appears to be a bit lacking in story/puzzle design (which is a bit concerning, considering that's basically the entire game o_o). Then again, nothing will ever quite live up to the original trilogy (especially UF!).
@Nater Or use that shell/banana to shield from incoming projectiles and that mushroom or super horn to dodge blue shells. Items are part of the game, they're not insurmountable.
@Blizzia I was just pointing out how there are always complaints no matter what Nintendo announces. They could release brand new games for their top 20 franchises in a 6-month span and there would still be people disappointed that their personal favorite didn't get a mention. That's just how it goes, unfortunately. (And AC is my favorite franchise, I was among those complaining, lol)
I'll go digital for smaller titles sometimes, but when it comes to the big, 1st-party releases, I want the cartridge/disk and a case with awesome cover art. There's just no substitutes for me.
I think this kind of falls in the same category as retailers putting out Christmas stuff Nov. 1st or Superbowl ads being available weeks before the game. I understand trying to get a jump on the market, but by constantly pushing these things earlier and earlier they are starting to feel less special. Just have some patience!
All the unmentioned titles aside (AC 5 ), the Smash presentation felt extremely rushed and unfinished. No proper trailer, a jumbled roster reveal, unimpressive soundtrack, no (STORY) modes. It was like they just threw everything together at the last minute. I understand the game is still in development and the graphics/interface will undoubtedly be polished, but when a company's entire year is basically riding on one game, it should receive a lot more fanfare than Smash got this E3.
@LordGeovanni I completely agree. I wasn't implying that we let Nintendo of the hook, it's just that, as the majority of us are outsiders, we can only go on the information we're given. I think a lot of Nintendo's problems stem from a lack of transparency. Obviously, I don't know how to run a huge company, but it seems that if Nintendo was more open and honest with its fans, it would at least partly reduce the backlash that seems to receive every few months.
@LordGeovanni I think a lot is still up in the air due to Nintendo not explaining (weird, right?) what their plans are with the 3DS and their handhelds in general. Are they merging console and handheld with the Switch? Is a new handheld system on the horizon? I can definitely understand the appeal of a simpler, strictly handheld Zelda line that compliments the larger, console releases. It all depends on Nintendo's hardware plans going forward.
@LordGeovanni Yep, I agree with everything except Zelda. BotW is just over a year old. Don't know why anyone would expect a new game so soon, unless it's a spin-off or something.

I'd like a refund for my time reading this "news".

Re: Guide: Everything Announced In Yesterday's Nintendo Direct
@Nater I'm assuming you're taking about MK8/MK8D. The AI is fine. I'm terrible at video games and I've 3-starred every cup, 50cc-200cc.
