I started the game last night on Switch.

I confirm that this is the best OST I have ever heard in a game.

Ah man. I get my hands on my physical copy in 3 hours. Spent months on the hype train and it really looks like the destination is not going to be disappointment. Inshallah.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is going to be my first JRPG for 25 years. The last one I played was FF7 on the PS1 in 1997.

I have paid the friendly shopkeeper in Mexico a little bit extra to get my physical copy tomorrow.

@Krull Agree re: Mass Effect beeing able to run on Switch. Probably google "Mass Effect Trilogy" once a week. Lol

Does anyone remember the vocal track that came out of NOWHERE during Red Dead Redemption 1? Far Away by Jose Gonzalez whilst entering Mexico.

I imagine this Xenoblade track will be reserved for a scene and never played again during the game for impact.

@FlameRunnerFast What a fantastic response and has urged me to play the first Xenos before 3. From what I have read, the plotlines are deep and if playing in sequence provides a better experience for 3 then I shall wait.

I was excited to jump on the train on day one as I thought that would be fun in itself.

First non-indy game I am buying for the switch, really looking forward to this one. Have pencilled in 15 hours on July 29th to play.

Tempted to download off of the eshop to get it going at 7pm local time though maybe a fools errand.

For those that have played the other Xenoblade games, is there much plot continuation between 1/ future connected, 2/tourna and X?

So tempted to jump into 1 though finding the physical in Mexico is difficult atm. Have been assured a copy of 3 at launch!

Back in the day used to LOVE Breath of Fire, Ogre Battle, Lufia, FFVI, Earthbound and Secret of the Mana.

My recent tastes have been Hades, Slay the Spire, Soulslike games, Witcher 3, Returnal.

Will try demos of DQ11 and Triangle Strategy.

Overall, looking for something from modern age so perhaps Bravely Default and Octopath are later games to play.

Xeno 3 looks soooo flipping good though. Need a break from complex/difficult Roguelikes.

Guys, hope all is good. Need some advice. I am about to play my first epic JRPG in about 25 years. Used to love Super Play magazine and had a Magicom with many, many UK and US JPRGs on SNES back in the day.

This will be my first day one purchase ever on the Switch.

I toiled with some JRPG demos and this has reignited my obsession with the genre that died around 1996.

I used to be a massive fan of the magazine Super Play, had a Magicom/disk drive to play all the US Imports on the Super NES. Played em all pretty much up until 1996. My attempts to learn Kanji at 12yo failed and it was simply to play the untranslated JRPGs. Lol.

I am blown away at the uptick in productionquality.

Now, to find a physical copy in Mexico July 29th.
