@mr_nihilism An you probably will so it's good to be prepared for that. I still consider myself new to the new series cause I started with MH3U. Just don't get frustrated if you get stuck on a hard monster, you can always go online and get help from other players. You can even get advice from veteran players. If your still unsure on what weapons you should use might I suggest the Long Sword(LS) or Sword and Shield(SnS), for the most part there beginner friendly. Just be thankful the underwater battles are gone, sometimes for me they were somewhat easy but most of the time they were extremely slow and annoying.
A little disappointing to see CN go, but let's face it their rewards have been lacking majorly. Last year's Elite rewards were just simple digital games that you could get off the eShop. Not the best Wii U titles and NES/SNES titles that I already had. Whatever new loyalty program they'll have I hope it'll have better rewards. If they do get rid of physical rewards and go towards digital games I just hope their decent titles. Something worth wide instead of spending so much money just to redeem a simple eShop title that's $5.99.
I've been playing my 3DS XL for two years now. With NA only receiving the New 3DS XL it doesn't bother me any, in fact I prefer it. I don't think I can go back to the regular screen size cause it's always weird going back to my old DS.
I can understand the reasoning for it NoA obviously sees that there won't be much of a market for it verses the XL. I'm sure most people like the face plates for the New 3DS, even I like some of them. However for me I'm not gonna go out and buy even more accessories that I don't really need.
Zelda Wii U takes my vote, it's the game I'm most excited for this year. It's the main reason why I got my Wii U here recently back in April. The game looks fantastic and the large world is going to be awesome to explore. Just hopeful that there will be stuff to do while traveling, hate to see large barren area's(despite seeing some pretty amazing landscapes). Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, Mario Maker, Majora's Mask 3D, and maybe Monster Hunter 4 U are all games I'm looking to playing too.
I was able to get the Smash Gamecube controller & adapter day one since I pre-ordered them(had to actually wait a little longer for the adapter since they just got the shipment when the store opened). It's even funny too, the next day I went back to the same Gamestop. They still had like 4 controllers left so I got a second one, but they didn't have any adapters left. Before I purchased it they wanted to make sure I had an adapter already, which I did. As for amiibo's, I got three that I really wanted which are Samus, Link, and Kriby. Link and Kirby were easy to get but my Mom was lucky enough to grab the last Samus that Target had. I'd like to get Shulk but I doubt I'll go out and buy it. Three amiibo's are enough for me.
The Gamestop at the mall where I pre-ordered at got maybe 15 adapters from what I saw. I went back the next day to finish up some Christmas shopping and walked in to pick up another GC controller cause they still had like 4 left but I couldn't see any adapters.
A price cut for the Wii U just sounds like a terrible move. Dropping it another $50 makes it to close to the price of it's handheld. It's already the cheapest home console compared to Xbone/PS4. With PS4 you have to spend $400, $60 game, and if you want to play online that's another $50. That's more then $500 you'll need to spend. Xbone is currently $400, $60 game, and $60 to play online. Making it around $520 right now, and only dropping to about $470 in 2015. Wii U $300, $60 game, and free online services. Making it less then $400, there are some bundles that just give you a free game. MK8 bundle was only $30 more and gave you the game a special Mario Wii remote plus steering wheel. Smash is coming plus the amiibos, there's no need for a price cut. Then you've got games coming in 2015 like LoZ, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi's Wolly World, Kirby Rainbow Curse, and Star Fox.
I get the feeling I'll be the same at not being able to put the game down once I get it. Besides my part-time job I can see myself playing this game non stop. I won't be rushing through the story by any means cause I want to explore everything this game has to offer.
@Spoony_Tech You can purchase the dlc right away because there are things in the dlc that are unlocked at the beginning. More character customization, friendship system(makes NPC's fight better), and pet birds. To get the rest of the dlc unlocked you need to beat the story, and be lv 50.
