Re: Voice of Mario Wanted To Voice Link

Viper6391

Thank God they didn't let him voice Link! We already have a crappy TV show and three crappy CD-I games where he talks. I don't think the fans would take it too well if they decided to turn silent Link into a talker.

Re: Review: Ju-On: The Grudge (Wii)

Viper6391

The game is good for a rental, but that's pretty much it. As mentioned, the game is wicked short and there's not much replay value. I would feel completely ripped off if I brought this due to the short length and the terrible controls. Hell, I wouldn't even buy this because of the name itself Ju-On The Grudge "Haunted House Simulator ". "Haunted House Simulator"?! Why would you put something like that in the title? It's a major turnoff! Nobody is going to take your game seriously with a title like that. The controls are REALLY BAD and you move like a little old lady. The only time your character picks up the pace is during a scare, but after that your character continues his/her little old granny pace which makes no sense! If I just encountered a real life ghost, I think I might start panicking and want to pick up my pace and get out instead of wandering around at an old granny pace. The batteries suck as a power source since their drained in only a few minutes(I've seen potato batteries last longer than these things). Also, the flashlight can be hard to control at times, but it's usually easy to fix. The game is not bad for a scare and the inclusion of the Panic mode is cool, but it gets really old and annoying when the 2nd player keeps pushing the button. I would probably give the game a 4 or 5 and say the game at most is only good for one rental, but after that you will never want to play it again.

Re: Christmas Clix Coming to WiiWare

Viper6391

@Chicken Brutus
That's Right! WAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I hope they're paying you well for this.
@Ezekiel
Normally I would agree with you about how you can't screw up a puzzle game, but giving JV's track record with Incoming and Beer Pong(read Chicken Brutus's review of Incoming) I have little faith that this will be good. Also, making a game about Christmas is not a good idea since you only want to play it in December or July as Draygone pointed out. Although, I've seen a worse game for a holiday **cough** Happy Holidays Halloween ** cough**.

Re: Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (11th Nov)

Viper6391

Holy crap! I didn't think Excitebike would do that good. Well, I thought it would make the Top 20, but not Number 1! I wonder how long it's streak will last when Castlevania Rebirth comes out. Definitely, an impressive week for Wiiware.

Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii Packaging Is All Kinds Of Awesome

Viper6391

This game is going to be awesome and for once Nintendo is actually advertising! I saw an advertisement for the game at the Movies when I went to see "This is It". Although, Nintendo usually advertises the crap out of Mario games, but it's well worth it. Definitely getting it for Christmas, and the 4 player co-op is going to be awesome!

Re: Pixmania: Wiimote Tech Is "Endangered"

Viper6391

Are they serious? Nintendo is still doing well in the market and with new releases such as New Super Mario Bros, Sin and Punishment, Metroid The Other M, etc I don't think the Wii is going anywhere. Also, Blue Ray costs more than regular DVD's and having a TV with HD in my opinion is just as good. Besides, the only thing I care about is watching my damn movie. I don't really care about all the extra's that are provided with Blue Ray. Finally, I would rather stick with my regular mouse than some fancy multitouch input. Natal is to me just an upgraded version of the Eye Toy and that Milo thing is a cheap parlor trick. There's only so much you can do with it before it runs out of responses, and I bet most people are going to scar that program for life by mistreating it.

Re: BIT.TRIP BEAT Updated!

Viper6391

@AENIGMA
Well, if that's the case then I guess I'll try one more time because one of the reasons I couldn't beat it is that I had trouble seeing some of the beats because the background kept getting in the way. I don't know if it'll make much difference, but I'll try again.

Re: BIT.TRIP BEAT Updated!

Viper6391

I still can't beat level 2 . I've pretty much given up on the game. It's not a bad game it's just not for me. I wish I didn't waste those Wii points buying this. This is why I like the idea of having Wiiware demos to see if the game is for me.

Re: Nintendo Download: Bikes, Frogs, Dragons, Bombs, Plankton and Cybernoids (US)

Viper6391

Excite Bike looks awesome so might download that. Was hoping for Castlevania Rebirth and Moonwalker this week. So Electroplankton was a DS beat game? I heard about Electroplankton from that unlockable Smash Bros Brawl Stage for some reason none of my friends want to play on. It is a rather dull stage compared to the other stages you get to fight on in Brawl.

Re: Michael Jackson's Moonwalker Coming to Virtual Console?

Viper6391

Saw the "This is It" movie yesterday and it was AWESOME! It's just a real shame he passed away, because his concert would've been amazing especially having Thriller in 3D. I would definitely buy Moonwalker whether it was the Genesis or Arcade Version(preferably the arcade version) just to hear Smooth Criminal and Beat It.

Re: Iwata: WiiWare Demos Are Coming

Viper6391

It's about time that Nintendo did something like this! Now if only Nintendo could stop third party developers from releasing crappy games such as Ninjabreadman onto the Wii. Oh, does anyone know if DDI finally went out of business? I heard a rumor that they finally went under.

Re: Nintendo Announces Wii Line-Up For THE WORLD

Viper6391

A new Kirby game? Well, that's the first I have ever heard of it. All the others I know about except for Span Smasher and Monado: Beginning of the World. Can anyone fill me in on those games? Really looking forward to Metroid, Super Mario Bros, and Sin and Punishment!

Re: Make Miyamoto Smile: Show StarFox Love

Viper6391

@ XCWarrior
Agreed, although I wouldn't mind if they had the Landmaster and they brought back the Submarine from Star Fox 64. You could only use the Submarine for one level in that game and kinda of enjoyed that level.

Re: Make Miyamoto Smile: Show StarFox Love

Viper6391

@ Super Smash Bros Fan 1999
HELL YES! Starfox 64 was probably the best game in the series, although some would argue that the original is the best, but like I stated I have never played the original. You can get Starfox 64 on the virtual console except this version has no rumble like the original version.

Re: Make Miyamoto Smile: Show StarFox Love

Viper6391

Star Fox 64 and Star Fox Assault were my favorites. I never played the original for the SNES since I don't own it and I don't have an SNES. Star Fox Adventure and Star Fox Command to me were just horrendous. I hated Star Fox Adventure because it was just basically a ripoff of Zelda and you hardly ever used your Arwing in that game. You just used it to travel from one part of Dinosaur Plant to another and fight Andross at the end of the game. The game also didn't even have really any good boss fights apart from Andross and this Dinosaur that you unfreeze near the beginning of the game. Star Fox Command I hated because it did not follow the typical Arwing levels of Star Fox 64 and Star Fox Assault. Command you had to select a ship, use the stylus to show where you want the ship to go, engage the enemy, etc.It was just boring and tedious and when you finally did engage the enemy, it was just battles in all range mode and there was a set amount of enemies. The boss battles in Command were worse than the ones in Star Fox Adventure and the levels weren't memorable at all. Although, the one good thing Command did was having multiple endings.

I would love to see a Wii Starfox game with motion controls like the flight tour game in Wii Sports Resort.
