Re: Talking Point: Everyone Has A Bad Game They Love, So What's Yours?

Sonic 06. The game is awful...but I've actually enjoyed playing it and even getting good at it (S ranked multiple stages and bosses). I also enjoy laughing at how incredibly buggy it is and how the Purple Gem that lets Sonic infinite jump breaks the game even more so you can wander to random parts of levels.
I've beaten it multiple times on both PS3 & 360 and I'm really looking forward to that fan-made PC port.

This line's a bit overused but whatever: and nothing of value was lost.

Itagaki's a schmuck and this game has never looked like anything but complete trash. We're not going to miss out on anything with this being canned and it would probably sell poorly anyway so good for Nintendo for not publishing this diaper stain of a game.

From the originals RE2 gave me my first real scare, and I only played it through for the first time in 2009. It was the Licker jumping through the interrogation room window. I was just thinking about how even though the game wasn't really scary yet still fun due to the aging graphics...when BAM! Cue scream.
I started playing through RE3 today and Nemesis leaping through a window into the RCPD station definitely made me jump. Oh and just barely dodging a rocket was pretty intense too.

@Slapshot
Weird... Oh well, I haven't had any other issues and I'm gonna be checking out the PSP version to see how I like that one.
Oh and I definitely agree on the coolness of the 3D effect, how it shows the multi-layered backgrounds off. Still, the framerate issues kick it for me.

I've played this version and I gotta say it feels like a really lazy port.
The sound quality is absolutely terrible as any time the characters talk during a fight or louder sound effects go off the speakers crackle.
There's a weird blur for the menus and the text re-size is pretty bad as well.
Also there are plenty of framerate drops during fights when they start getting intense. Noel's Chain Revolver attacks really show this as her Down-D attack makes it stutter.
It's certainly playable and there's a lot more content than in the console versions; but it's far from great. If you can get past the multiple issues it is fun, but it is certainly not worth the full $40 price tag. I say go with Street Fighter and DOA as both are much better choices.
