@Inkling Of course! One of the reasons I love that my Wii U is backwards compatible. Many of the MP8 levels were fantastic. Would love a VC version or DLC to MP10.
I assume this means the 3DSXL vastly outsells the 3DS in the US, which isn't surprising given its myriad of editions over the last few years. I prefer it as well, though it's a shame they region-lock for those who don't.
@ElliotVA I did the same thing! Never bothered registering Super Mario 3D Land because I figured the elite games would be the same for Gold and Plat and I'd be wasting coins. I feel ya, brother. Plat next year!
I'll start buying these VC games once I can cross-buy on my Wii U and new 3DS XL. Odds are I'm buying them for nostalgia value anyway and will hardly ever finish them, so $8 a pop seems extreme. I'd do an impulse buy at $0.99 for anything classic Mario or Zelda, but these prices give me pause enough to pass without the added benefit of cross-buy.
@SkywardCrowbar Not exactly a ringing endorsement. I love my Wii U, but I only use it for gaming. I don't use Nintendo TVii or Miiverse or Wii U Chat. I've probably used Amazon Prime streaming a few times. I got it because I wanted to play Nintendo games in 1080p.
I've had my Wii U since January, and I still have no idea what to do with Nintendo TVii. I'd rather be able to stream mp4 video from my Twonky server using DLNA.

Re: Nintendo Download: 21st May (North America)
I'd rather just own the Mario version of P&DZ. You'd think they could separate the two in the eShop.

My kids love MP10, but I still like the Monopoly level in MP8 the best.

Dang, missed out on @justlink's kind offer. Anyone else have a Plat prize that they'd swap for any of the Gold ones?

If any disenchanted Plat folks just want a Gold prize and want to trade, I'm game! Let me know

It's 2014. Where is Wii U/3DS crossbuy?
