I keep seeing comparisons to Three Houses... Honestly, Three Houses felt overly focused on relationships to me. I wonder how it feels compared to Awakening, which I felt was perfectly balanced on the combat/relationship front?
I've been wanting to play this ever since I first heard about Fire Emblem in Nintendo Power's monthly Epic Center feature back in the 90s. Super excited to get to play it.
I feel like we've reached a point where we're not getting as much out of new console launches as we used to. The jump between the SNES and the N64? That felt tremendous. From 64-bit to Gamecube? Still amazing. Ever the since the PS3/360 era though, technological leaps have felt much smaller and nowhere near as significant.
I was honestly shocked when Sony announced the PS5, because the PS4's games still look great and the console still feels modern to me. It took me a bit to realize it had actually been seven years and we were "due" for something new.
Only I'm tired of new. I'd much rather see hardware makers support their already-impressive hardware for longer. The Switch could absolutely have the "legs" of the Game Boy. Nintendo just needs to keep backing it up with great content that people want to play.
I have this on PC and it's definitely a challenging game with great atmosphere. I found that, however, that I got bored with it cause there's not much of a point to the whole thing? It mostly felt like hours and hours of doing the same thing with no end goal to work toward.
Give me a Switch version of Mount & Blade: Warband! It's already ported to PS4 and, with the right accommodations, could be a good time on Switch.
I grew up with the NES and SNES. I can remember playing a Star Fox 64 demo at a kiosk at Toys R' Us and thinking I'd never seen anything that looked so amazing. Games can reach incredible visual heights, but they could already do that 10 years ago. It takes a special kind of incompetent to make a game look "ugly"
The Witcher 3 might look better on PS4/PC/etc, but there's no way you're going to sit a guy like me in front of a portable version of an epic of that scale and grandeur and have me feeling like I've made a "sacrifice."

Re: Review: DOOM 64 - Will Tide You Over Until DOOM Eternal Arrives On Switch
As long as we're resurrecting games made by Midway, can we get Switch ports for the Battletanx series?
Re: Goblin Sword Brings Castlevania And Mega Man-Inspired Platforming To Switch Next Week
And I didn't see the phrases "Metroidvania" or "rogue-like" anywhere! Looks right up my alley.
