Re: Nintendo Considered Giving Up On 'Mario & Luigi' Before Approaching Acquire

Soniciskewl

@rvcolem1 I spent $60 of my hard-earned money on it because I was really excited. It would be a waste of money if i didnt play it. it was "fine" up until the halfway point when it all hit me. The slow progression, the bland writing, (names for islands would be misspelled words and the jokes were just as lazy) the need for a cutscene every two minutes, the literal 6 hours of filler backtracking, and the overly long combat. I was more or less watching TV and grinding it out near the end. This game didn't hold a candle to Inside Story or Superstar Saga. It was a bad game to me. And I don't think anyone who loved it is wrong either.

I thought that too but all three accounts have been around for a while so this would to have been years in the making if someone made those accounts. You can see the age on someone's profile.
People on the subreddit complain about other players all the time, I just think someone saw the name and everyone ran with it. It's pretty easy to see what's a bot and who is an actual player. Bots usually have logical actions or reasoning and the game will let you fast forward for them or they will skip item store animations. Each round is about 2 hours so I imagine anyone would remember "tactics" after a while. Personally I think the whole story is hilarious

Re: New 2D Adventure 'The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom' Announced For This September

@PinderSchloss

Got to love someone who judges a full-ass game on a few minutes of footage and sparse details. You have no clue what Zelda will be able to do and what the extent of her abilities will be in the game. Perhaps she eventually will be able to swing weapons and shoot projectiles. Those could one of the many echoes not shown.
You have no clue what puzzles there will be nor where the difficulty will stem from but you talk as if you do already.

It's just such a "gamer" vibe to be this judgmental and entitled to what they think a game should be before they even know what that game actually is.

It reminds me of when everyone hated the wind waker simply based on how it looked before it came out. Now, it's a classic, apparently.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Bayonetta 3

Soniciskewl

@nessisonett
I read the review. The writer went out of their way to describe the ending despite saying they are not allowed to. 70% of that review is a complaint about the ending and logic given for uninstalling the game over it. The reviewer was upset Bayonetta didn't define her "terms" of the character and what she represents. It was kind of jarring to expect something that was never stated. It is very safe to say the reviewer was left cold by the game's politics. Or rather, a lack of politics. I can't imagine uninstalling a game I got for free over something small like a Bayonetta story beat.
