DKC2 made me love the DKC franchise. The first DKC was good for many reasons, but DKC2 made it great. DKC3 was very well done, also. If anyone is wondering why people love DKC, the first DKC is not the place to start. The first DKC is the place to respect the beginning and appreciate how the DKC series kept getting better.
For Hesham Youssef's question, keep an eye on https://www.dekudeals.com/. While the site's primary intent is not the same as the question, you should be able to find many of the answers to your questions there. It's an excellent resource.
This game was on my wish list back in the day. (...nearly 20 years ago!) I never got to it. I didn't have money to buy it when it was in stock. It became harder to find. Eventually, I just moved on.
@JJtheTexan Are you saying that everyone listed in the NL poll is a returning character? I don't remember several of these being in Mario Kart before. What have I been missing?!
@MS7000 I have 2 of the Untold games, but I really don't understand which is which is between this collection of Etrian Odyssey I, II, III versus Untold and Untold 2 versus whatever games were the originals. Do you? A little help?
New Pokemon Snap has already been pointed out (@dreadkong). It's probably not the answer you're looking for, but it does have a section like what you're describing. If you haven't already, check it out!
This year, I played Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Dicey Dungeons, and Luigi's Mansion 3. These were my favorites. I finished Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey (3DS). I continued with Animal Crossing. To round off the list, I played Iconclasts, 3 Picross games, Overcooked! 2, LIMBO, The TakeOver, and Lumines. It will be a long time before I am not playing back-log games.
@Takarajima I agree. The UI is miserably slow and a huge barrier. I'd rather avoid the online services and am not interested in any other forms of "enhancements."
I downloaded this game from this week's E3 sales. It's incredibly simplistic, way too easy to play, and repetitive. I've already played through the entire game. The puzzles are nearly identical from beginning to end: the changes are the introduction of spaces in the grid that are blocked, spaces randomizers, or spaces which move your pieces around. The music is bland. I played the endless round, and it was so endless that I lost on purpose to wrap it up. The game had even stopped scoring some of my points during the endless round. Competitive mode looks fun, but I don't have anyone to play with. The game has wonderful colors, runs very smoothly, and is really easy to dive into. Once you dive, you find it's way too shallow. It is worth the sales price if this seems like your kind of game, but it's definitely not worth the full price.
I downloaded it for free, and free was the right price. I would have never downloaded it otherwise. I find the game addictive, but I know it will ware off quickly.
I use a a docking station with an HD pulled from an old computer. It formatted fine. The docking station has it's on power button. I turn the docking station on when I want to play something loaded to the external HD. Otherwise, I always leave it off. Also, the station has cloning features, which might be helpful if I get suspicious of having this story happen to me.
Thank you for this review! I have 3 girls: 5, 2, and 3-months. I had considered if this game was a good fit for my family, but couldn't find any reviews/comments/posts that weren't jokes or complaints (even like much of this list of comments). After reading the review, I feel more comfortable that this game will be a good fit. I'll purchase it and show it to my 5-year-old tomorrow. The other two will grow up fast enough that they may use the game someday, too.
I like it. In real life, you have to "earn the right to speak into a person's life." In the game, you have to "earn the right to tune a character's inner music."
Are you given a code per game? Or one code for a batch of games? I already have 2 of the games, so I want to be able to give those codes to my brother if they are separate codes.
I haven't played the game yet, so this idea might not work. But here's the idea.
Could this game be approached like a Time Trials in Mario Kart? Amiibo could save ghost data so you and friends could compete for best completion scores.
Eh, that would probably take up too much memory anyway.
I get the feeling Miyamoto's quote is being taken out of context. He said "one part of our plan to do so is to use 'spin off games', which allow us to use our major title franchises, but create on a smaller scale and we are working hard on making these sort of derived products."
That does not mean "more spin-off releases like Hyrule Warriors." Maybe or maybe not. Also, spin-off does not equal cross-over. And don't forget the part about "small scale."
Actually, the whole quote makes me think of games like Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. That's a spin-off and small scale.
If done right, this could be an evolution for "health entertainment" and gaming. This will clearly have a different demographic than the gaming marking. When I become concerned about my health someday, I might fit this demographic.
@Light I've been thinking the same thing being 29 with 2 kids and plan to grow the family more. I haven't fallen off the grid yet. I figure that if I can ever convince myself to stop buying games I don't have time to play, I have a ton of games to go back and replay - if I can find the time for it.
I'm not impressed with any of the contributions to that debate. There are some select ideas I can resonate with, such as I agree that I don't want to see games that I consider junky, but I still can't really fully agree/disagree with either position.
Here's a thought. What if Nintendo could follow Amazon's example with a "Not Interested" option so the buyer can have a little control over individual store fronts. I think that could alleviate both sides of this debate.
And now that these images are release, and the if west were not to receive these options, we'll have a similar article about the problems of censorship. It's really not that big of a deal.

@Wolfy76700 If the app does voice chat, why does it matter if it is landscape or portrait? You won't be looking at it; you would be talking to it.
I like the charging ability, but I think it could feel extra heavy with poor weight distribution when used with a phone.
