Re: Digital Foundry Breaks Down Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 On Switch 1 & 2

@1UP_MARIO I have these too and I agree absolutely they are gorgeous! Almost too good to actually put on my wall, they look lovely in the case. Well worth the extra £12!

The games look absolutely fantastic and I don’t get all the criticism for the motion controls. Being able to play it on the pro 2 controller is brilliant. No question this package is worth the money, galaxy 2 is perfection, possibly my favourite game of all time, and I’ve been playing games for over 40 years.

Re: Reaction: Switch 2 Needed A Partner Showcase With Pep; This Wasn't It

SNESMaster

Everyone who bought a switch 2 wants to know what new games they can play in the coming months, including myself. But this direct was utter dross. In fact to call it dross would be making it sound better than it was. I can honestly say I’ve never seen a worse Nintendo direct. Surely there isn’t a person in the world who thought that was a good idea to put out! Can only hope there is a proper direct around the corner with some actual decent games that showcase the shiny new console they just bought and campfire simulator is not it.

Re: Review In Progress: Mario Kart World (Switch 2) - The Perfect Introduction To A New Console Generation?

SNESMaster

I’ve been playing with friends for the last 3 hours and I’ve got to say Nintendo have absolutely nailed what makes a great Mario kart game. It’s taken everything in MK8 and cranked it all up. Every course is bursting with life and character and are all abs huge and just pure joy to race around, and the increase to 24 players is inspired, it changes it so much. The amount of fun we had, all on game chat with cameras which all worked seamlessly and perfectly, was exactly what we all wanted. I get it may not be as fun or exciting in single player, including the open world part, but MK has always been about multiplayer and so far it has not disappointed. I expected nothing less from a game that’s been this long in the making! Having a MK party on Saturday with 6 of us and I cannot wait! Oh and knockout tour is absolutely outstanding! I can’t wait to see how Nintendo build and expand on this over the coming months/years 😁

Re: Talking Point: Will You Be Buying Any Game-Key Card Switch 2 Games?

SNESMaster

This is going to be the last physical generation, period, and that’s just the way of the world im afraid, none of us can stop it. I think digital keys are a great way to still offer a physical product with resell value. I’m a gamer of over 40 years but I will be going all digital from here on out. I’m happy with all my old consoles and games which I own, but for all new games it doesn’t bother me they will be digital only.

Re: "We MUST Resist Buying These Game-Key Releases", Says GamesMaster Host

SNESMaster

Why are people in such an uproar about this?! The games industry like many other similar industries, is going digital only. We can’t stop it, it’s happening so we have to face up to this. Sony and MS would go digital only if they could. At least these key cards still allow people to buy a physical product they can sell/trade etc. I think it’s a very clever solution Nintendo have come up with. I’m afraid in 10 years time there won’t even be these available so everyone needs to accept the fact it’s a digital only future if you want to be a gamer.

Re: Video: Nintendo Land Will Likely Never Come To Switch, But That's Okay

SNESMaster

This is hands down one of the best multiplayer experiences you can have playing video games. It was, and is, such a unique experience that only the Wii U could provide. We spent countless hours playing the 5 player games like Mario chase and the Luigi ghost game. Absolutely brilliant, so much fun and great example of Nintendo at its most creative.

Re: Poll: What's The Best 2D Mario Game?

SNESMaster

I have played every single one and while Super Mario World will forever hold a special place in my heart, replaying Mario bros u deluxe on the switch has shown me how refined and intricate the series has got. There is so much content in that game and the levels are so superbly designed that it’s difficult to argue how the older games are better.
