@Daniel36 pshyah. You’re entitled to dismiss people on an internet forum, called Nintendo Life, that no one really ever reads except you Just as they’re entitled to not even feel like they have to respond to you.
@TheDragonDAFan as a 27-year-old former angry white man, but without hippie hair because I’m gay and know better. I’m not even going to engage with your point because you only engaged with like 1-and-a-half of mine.
I could go either way. I always hoped that one day, when a super old game like runescape finally runs out of steam and goes offline, they’d make a version available to play single player. Ofc that would require alot of resources to make this entirely new version of the game not seem super lonely and empty. Which is why I get it honestly. Game development is hard, but people really don’t seem to understand what that means. It’s super labor intensive, like really labor intensive. You basically need to hire a bunch of drones to do the boring stuff, which is most of it. They’d have to develop yet another version of the game, so I guess I lean more toward the ‘nothing last forever camp.’ It doesn’t help seeing the other side consists of yet another angry white man on YouTube, with some long ass hippie hair being upset about the issue. I avoid people like that.
That man and Kit and Krysta are always being quoted by gaming journalists trying to provoke our inner fan boy I guess. Nintendo’s above it, that’s why we don’t engage. All it took for me to realize that was to buy a Xbox Series X, or as I prefer to call it: An xXx_BoX_Series XXX_xXx, and play halo infinite. They verbatim talk about the 360 like it was yesterday, they’re very busy chanting “Halo 3 Halo 3” like a Gregorian monk. Meanwhile their console just looks dumb, like it’s a box, made for cavemen. You like shootey-shoot? Want every game w/ gun? Here you go you stupid frat bro. What does Sony have of actual substance? Neglectful father Viking edition? Cave girl robot dinosaur? Spider-Man, for some reason? Yes to single player RPG’s, just not those RPG’s. Not to mention their hardware just looks ridiculous, like a guy popping his collar before he goes to the clerb in like the 1980’s. It pains me to take their “arguments” seriously, they sound like the most utterly unemployed you can possible be. Who on earth actually feels insecure about game console they own? Is this middle-school?
I had two childhood dreams, one was an animal crossing game where you could build an actual city, like skyscrapers and stuff. The next was quite literally an open-world Mario Kart, where I could see Mario characters/creatures just living their life.
I’m never going back to my series X ever again. Just comparing that chonky disaster, tbe ‘R-O-G Ally’ to the beauty of Nintendo’s hardware...I looked at my series X and I’m just disgusted. lol I like the concept of Sony games - I love single players rpgs. But I don’t like the way the pa5 looks, or its loud fans. Cave girl robot dinosaur and spider man, as well as neglectful Viking father simulator offer nothing fresh to me.
When Nintendo’s doing well, gaming as a hobby is doing well (for me).
On one hand I’m not going to gloat. Nintendo fans are above the console wars. On the other, Microsoft is actually making some semi-intelligent decisions nowadays. Good for them, Laura Fryer would be proud. I have a feeling the American console though illusive, may make a comeback, someday.
Nintendo needs atleast one gimmick so their soul may rest for a time. And what if I want my loved ones to see me grimacing after I hit them with a blue shell?
In all seriousness. Yes Nintendo is proud of its creativity. But the Wii U didn’t sell. How would you feel if less than like an eighth of the people who bought your last console bought this one? That’s scary!
The device is very beautiful. It’s less…idk industrial? Hard to articulate. Busy, but also curvy, so child friendly? Going from the Wii and 3ds to the Switch felt like Nintendo had embraced the ultra refined styling of the time. I like that this one looks and feels more ergonomic and human friendly. Less austere.

I know it’s already been pointed out, because everyone and their mother knows what the Play Station 5 is a sequel to.

Re: Is This Our Best Look Yet At 'Switch 2'?
“…So yeah we actually got it on the black market. And they can’t even do anything because we didn’t sign an NDA. LOL”
Nintendo lawyer calmly enters the lobby with breifcase in tow.
[Nervously] “Okay so actually it was based on like industry knowledge…or whatever.”
Nintendo Lawyer kindly asks the receptionist for whoever’s in charge.
[Getting worried] “Okay so actually we have no idea what the console’s like. We were just being cray.”
Nintendo Lawyer makes direct eye contact.
[Resignation of defeat] “Okay so actually we’re not even a company. And uh we’re not Japanese. And no one works here. Okay byeee.”
