I had a feeling that, for whatever reason, he wasn't ever going to be done with Sonic. In another recent interview, he even talked about how he would love it if he got to wear a bodysuit to look more like Eggman in the third film, so I feel like he must have terrific fun making these Sonic movies.
Also, the words of those producers are pretty touching. That kind of respect is probably what attracted him to Sonic in the first place.
My OG joycons are still holding up, surprisingly. I don't use them much anymore, but before I got a pro controller, that was all I used for the first six months. Now I use the HORI split pads if I ever want to play in handheld mode.
I generally play in docked mode about 85% of the time, but during the 15% of the time I play handheld, I only play in my house. Laying on the bed and whatnot.
I got my OG (and still current) switch in 2018 for a birthday present and have had no issues with it at all. I'm a little worried that the cartridge slot might eventually crap out, but it hasn't given me an issue yet.
Thinking of eventually replacing it with an OLED somewhere down the line, but I have no rush to do so anytime soon. I might wait a few years to see if Nintendo continues with a Switch 2.
@CovidBarbie I'd argue that finding a legal way to play them is what lots of people are having trouble doing. Nintendo's back catalog is not exactly widely available.
Literally though. Compare this to Playstation Plus. With PS+, I get:
> Online play > Free FULL games that I can keep as long as I maintain my subscription > Added deals on games that can sometimes make 1st party games up to 50% off > Exclusive content for big multiplatform games like Fortnite > Walkthrough hints on PS5 > The PS+ collection on PS5, which includes 20 amazing FULL games. > Cloud backups
Meanwhile, with NSO, I get:
> Very spotty online play > Cloud backups > Tetris 99 and Pac-Man 99 > Game Trials (Which they only do like 2-3 per year) > SNES/NES/Genesis/N64 games that range from pretty solid to awful
What makes it even worse is that Nintendo barely does anything with lots of the extras you get with your service. They do Game Trials VERY infrequently, and they used to add new NES games each month, but with SNES (and I presume N64 and Genesis as well), they only added games every few months. They sometimes give you extra packs or items in games, but all that has really amounted to atm is extra spirit items in Smash. Why even bother committing to these ideas if you aren't going to support them?
I wouldn't say I like the pricing, but at the end of the day, I share my family membership with 4 other siblings, so it's not the worst deal out there, but I don't think I've ever seen an expansion that is more expensive than the main service.
I think a fair price would have been $35 for individuals and $50 for the family plan. Especially seeing as how you lose access to the AC DLC when your subscription lapses.
If they add another two or three systems to the expansion pass, I could maybe see it being worth the money. Maybe add Dreamcast, Saturn, Gamecube, GBA, Gameboy, or something along those lines.
@Ogbert The LEGO advent calenders usually sit around the $30 to $40 range, so it's not too much more expensive. It looks fairly high quality to be a statue at this price point. I'm pretty tempted tbh.
This is literally awful. I tried everything Nintendo suggested on their website, and it still doesn't work. Finally, after 15 minutes of restarting the download, it finally downloaded. This is unacceptable from a company as big as Nintendo, and I can't believe that they are ignoring the problem after more than a week.
This is so disappointing for a variety of reasons.
1. Skyward Sword is one of my least favorite Zelda games, not only because of the forced motion controls (which are now optional in this version) but also the ridiculous amount of backtracking required in the latter half of the game. Having a fast travel feature like this will most definitely help mitigate the pacing problems lots of people had with the game. Oh, wait...It's locked behind an amiibo.
2. It's a Zelda amiibo that is not only double the price of a standard amiibo, but is also sold out everywhere, and likely will be impossible to get unless you get extremely lucky.
3. Forcing you to bring up the menu and physically tap an amiibo every time you want to warp is so stupid. It's so tedious that it almost negates the helpfulness of this feature.
4. I personally don't have a lot of time to play games (around 5 hours a week or so), so locking a feature that would greatly enhance the enjoyment of the game for lots of people in my similar situation behind a paywall is super dumb.
5. And for people that say that this feature breaks the game, guess what? YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE IT! Having the option available for people who want to use it is all that matters. Mario Odyssey literally had a mode with arrows telling you where to go as an option for young players, but did people complain about that optional QoL feature for young players?
TL;DR Nintendo should not be locking features that would be nice to have in the base game, behind a $25 paywall, and even if you personally wouldn't use it, that doesn't mean that a lot of other people wouldn't appreciate having it in the base game.
Everyone needs to hold there horses. According to the lead designer of these sets, Lego and Nintendo have been planning this partnership for years, and realize the demand for minifigures. Also, Lego often release their sets on the first of the month, so August 1st is most likely the real date.

Re: February 27th Is Pokémon Day, And We're Getting Announcements Every Day This Week
@Citano Yeah, it's a pipe dream, but I hope somehow, they either bring Bank over to the switch or find some way to integrate it into Home.
Re: Nintendo's Giving Away A Set Of Awesome N64 Posters (Europe)
I'm wounded. Europe gets cool physical rewards while we Americans are over here suffering. They took all of our physical rewards away...

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Price?
@Madder128 I've heard it said that Nintendo is an amazing Game Developer, but they are some of the worst when it comes to Business Desicions.
After today...I have to agree.
