Chocolate? Or pieces of Sonic's body? The age-old dilemma returns yet again this Christmas as customers are forced to choose between the two things that make the holidays such a special time. Or we guess you could just get both.
Yes, thanks to an ongoing partnership between Sega and Numskull Designs, this new advent calendar starring none other than the famous blue blur himself will soon be hitting the stores. As you open each of the calendar's 24 doors, you'll be greeted with a new piece of a Sonic statue, leaving you with a genuinely lovely looking figurine to display when Christmas finally rolls around.
Each piece can be clicked into place by hand, so there's no fiddly glue needed here, and it's available to pre-order as we speak. You can grab it at the following links: UK (£39.99), Europe (39,26€), and the US ($47.99).
A little bit more expensive than your usual advent calendar, then, but who can say no to that face?
Speaking of Sonic's face, oh dear...
Will you be treating someone special to one of these for December? Fancy that figurine all for yourself? Tell us below.

I do quite like this but for what you are left with seems on the pricey side
I'd just like to say the same as Stocksy, because he posted the same as I was writing.
Also, what is the point of the spoiler alert, there is many pictures of what you get.
Looks absolutely fantastic.
The price though makes it hard to justify, it looks like it's only about 20-25cm tall, and for £40 I'd want a figure about 30-40CM tall.
I don't need it. I don't need it. I don't need it. I NEEED IIIITTTT!
That's really neat, and it looks like a good quality figure too.
I've got a LEGO calendar a couple of times, and besides some minifigures, a lot of the builds are very meh and just get disassembled and put away. But this could at the very least be brought out with my Christmas decs each year.
I need this in my life
It's even based on Ice Cap Zone.
That's seriously cool.
It's very fun, but for that same price you can get a Nendoroid or two Lego calendars.
@Ogbert or a new switch game!
This is pretty brilliant.
Sonic without eyes is frightening.
It's fantastic.
@Ogbert The LEGO advent calenders usually sit around the $30 to $40 range, so it's not too much more expensive. It looks fairly high quality to be a statue at this price point. I'm pretty tempted tbh.
I’d rather spend £40 on a game than a figure
I'm a big fan of both advent calendars (have collected of hundreds over the years since the paper ones are easy to store) and really love the ones where you build something like the lego ones. This however seems strange, most work in a way that looks nice to start with and it gets more and more fun the more doors you open and things you build. This however is sorta meh and occasionally terrifying(the eyeless sonic) and then the final product is amazing.
$15 for cheapest shipping. Probably arrive in June too.
I'll look for it from another reseller.
Sorry but that price seems pretty ok to me.
Sonic's body is ready.
As someone who likes Sonic and Christmas, there's no denying I wish I had this. May pass on it due to the price, I still need to Christmas shop for friends and loved ones.
@RupeeClock I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the Ice Cap base.
@RealDoctorWho42 they’re £20 here and this is £40. So you could buy 2 for the price of this one in the UK at least.
$30-40 for the Lego calendars where you are? Ouch!
@RupeeClock 2022's release slate is already shaping up to make an amazing year, but getting to play Ice Cap Zone on Switch is going to be a highlight for me!
I agree that £40 is a bit steep - they should have got a chocolate provider on board and put some sweet treats inside too to sweeten the offer a bit more.
