@liljmoore it could be your cable, I am also playing gc games on a 50“ 1080p TV using an RGB cable, and thou they still aren't the best, they aren't that bad looking. The other way round that issue is buy an original Wii (not the family or mini versions) and a Wii component cable (the 5 pin one) which plays cube and Wii games in 480p. Phantasy Star looks incredible
I will definitely be getting this, I loved the Wii original, but due to hectic work schedules, family life and only owning one TV, I didn't get to play as often as I'd liked. Been holding off getting a 3ds until I knew when the new ones were getting released, turns out, it's just after my birthday lol
Definitely one of my favourite n64 games, frustratingly hard at times, but always mental, would love another crack at this, shame it's by rare thou, as it's not likely to ever show up on VC
The very first time I played red, I transferred the other 2 starters from blue anyway, so it didn't matter. On a normal play thru thou, I'd choose Squirtle, because there weren't any decent water types until much later in the game. Finally, correct me if I'm wrong, but in red/blue Charizard (despite being able to learn Fly) remained a single type, it was only in gen 2 (maybe yellow, I'm not sure) that he gained the flying type
Can't wait, thought bros u was good, but it wasn't a classic, and thou I was hoping for super Mario universe, this still looks the business. Still think running up the flag pole with the cat suit is cheating thou lol
Not that I won't be doing it every opportunity I get off course
@K1LLEGAL dungeon keeper was my favorite game on pc, way back when, I also played the original gta around the same time. However, as a pretty much exclusive Nintendo gamer for the last 20 yrs or so, I missed the early 3D versions of gta, and the Wii U is my first real HD gaming experience. I am a father in his 30's too, and like many of the commenters above, I simply don't have the time to game like I used to. While it would be nice to see games of this magnitude on the Wii U, I don't feel aggrieved, cos I wouldn't buy it anyway.
It does make me wonder how much influence these devs actually have thou, for example, just look at the controllers for both xbox and playstation (past & present) sure they've gained extra gubbinz with each generation, but they're essentially the same tried and tested design (which i speculate had some influence from the devs "if u make the same control, it'll be easier for us to make annual copies of same generic fps") whereas nintendo is the only one brave enough to try something different each time, in the hope of giving each console unique experiences
I don't like the fact it doesn't have a hinge, but I do think it's gonna sell. If it wasn't the case that my wife and daughter already have 3ds' i'd probably just got one of these for them, as neither use or like the 3d function anyway
@FuseBlues wow, I had to start slow with mine, party games etc. But the real breakthrough was phantasy star online on the gamecube, she sunk over 300 hrs over two characters, and she got further than I did as well!
@One-Winged-Pit not necessarily, Starfox adventures was their last release on a Nintendo hom console, and was 'meh' at the best of times, and certainly far from the highs achieved with goldeneye, perfect dark and banjo kazooie
@Chris720 I would be so annoyed if that happened to me. I've been playing Pokemon since the beginning, and I've only once not completed the pokedex. (Gen 3 in case you wondered)
I remember it being an issue in gen4 GTS, especially with highly prized Pokemon like shiny and legendary ones (or both at the same time in some cases). I got hacked shiny versions of dialga and palkia, both at level 1 (this was after the release of heart gold and soul silver, where you got access to one of these at level 1, so didn't seem too far fetched at that time)
5 words.... Monster Hunter Off TV Mode. As without that feature, I simply wouldn't get to play it, as I don't play games in front of my kids that they aren't old enough for. Plus my wife can still watch her soaps while I'm pounding a few Rathian...
@Lasermaster123 harvest moon oftens draws comparisons with animal crossing, but they are very different. Hm pits you against the clock, trying to get your daily chores completed so you can do other things. AC doesnt expect anything fron you. You're time is you're own, and you'll often find yourself catching bugs well into thw early hours of the night, especially during summer
The first party titles obviously appeal most, but in some ways, i hope they don't come out too close together, i just don't have the budget for too many gsmes these days, and lets not forget, theres still the 3DS gems that'll be out by the end of the year
I'm pleased that NA has finally got Xenoblade, I got my copy ba week after its European launch, and although I don't get to play it as often as I'd like, its still the best game on the Wii, yes even better than skyward sword! I just wanted to say that this artbook wasn't available for our launch! But our limited edition pack (with the classic controller pro) came with a red control

@MarioIdent the website actually points out a sleep button on the bottom edge, as for the cameras, I've no idea XD

@gsmaciel the trick is not to hold your net out, they don't chase you that way, and hopefully you'll get the chance to grab them

I'm almost average... O.o

Definitely getting party, as my wife and kids still play the first, not 100% on fit yet, it's a possibility, but Mario will come first
