Re: Rumour: Dataminers Dig Up eShop Listings For Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Skyward Sword And Metroid: Other M

@liljmoore it could be your cable, I am also playing gc games on a 50“ 1080p TV using an RGB cable, and thou they still aren't the best, they aren't that bad looking. The other way round that issue is buy an original Wii (not the family or mini versions) and a Wii component cable (the 5 pin one) which plays cube and Wii games in 480p. Phantasy Star looks incredible

Re: Nintendo 64x64: Blast Corps

Definitely one of my favourite n64 games, frustratingly hard at times, but always mental, would love another crack at this, shame it's by rare thou, as it's not likely to ever show up on VC

Re: Data Says - Choose Squirtle in Pokémon Red & Blue

Psychomalone

The very first time I played red, I transferred the other 2 starters from blue anyway, so it didn't matter. On a normal play thru thou, I'd choose Squirtle, because there weren't any decent water types until much later in the game. Finally, correct me if I'm wrong, but in red/blue Charizard (despite being able to learn Fly) remained a single type, it was only in gen 2 (maybe yellow, I'm not sure) that he gained the flying type

Re: Soapbox: Why Grand Theft Auto V Isn't For Me

@K1LLEGAL dungeon keeper was my favorite game on pc, way back when, I also played the original gta around the same time. However, as a pretty much exclusive Nintendo gamer for the last 20 yrs or so, I missed the early 3D versions of gta, and the Wii U is my first real HD gaming experience. I am a father in his 30's too, and like many of the commenters above, I simply don't have the time to game like I used to.
While it would be nice to see games of this magnitude on the Wii U, I don't feel aggrieved, cos I wouldn't buy it anyway.

Re: Bethesda: The Time For Convincing Publishers And Developers To Support Wii U Is "Long Past"

Psychomalone

It does make me wonder how much influence these devs actually have thou, for example, just look at the controllers for both xbox and playstation (past & present) sure they've gained extra gubbinz with each generation, but they're essentially the same tried and tested design (which i speculate had some influence from the devs "if u make the same control, it'll be easier for us to make annual copies of same generic fps") whereas nintendo is the only one brave enough to try something different each time, in the hope of giving each console unique experiences

Re: The Pokémon Company Lays Down The Law On Cheaters

Psychomalone

I remember it being an issue in gen4 GTS, especially with highly prized Pokemon like shiny and legendary ones (or both at the same time in some cases). I got hacked shiny versions of dialga and palkia, both at level 1 (this was after the release of heart gold and soul silver, where you got access to one of these at level 1, so didn't seem too far fetched at that time)

Re: Feature: The Humble Origins of Animal Crossing

@Lasermaster123 harvest moon oftens draws comparisons with animal crossing, but they are very different. Hm pits you against the clock, trying to get your daily chores completed so you can do other things. AC doesnt expect anything fron you. You're time is you're own, and you'll often find yourself catching bugs well into thw early hours of the night, especially during summer

Re: Out Today: Xenoblade Chronicles (North America)

Psychomalone

I'm pleased that NA has finally got Xenoblade, I got my copy ba week after its European launch, and although I don't get to play it as often as I'd like, its still the best game on the Wii, yes even better than skyward sword! I just wanted to say that this artbook wasn't available for our launch! But our limited edition pack (with the classic controller pro) came with a red control
