Sorry if this ruffles any feathers, but I for one love Pokemon Go. It has a great feedback loop imo and there's a lovely little stretch in my home town where I can go for walks and hit plenty of stops. I also have friends who are consistently active and enjoy raids and such though, so I'm sure that helps drive my own engagement.
I can't wait for this! I've only ever played the GBA games (Fusion and Zero Mission) but I loved them both dearly. Consider me aboard the Metroid Dread hype train!
I have to say, graphically the game looks gorgeous! I quite liked the original M+R, so revisiting the concept with a graphical update (and presumably refined gameplay) sounds great!
I love collecting Pokemon cards, but I can't enjoy one of my favorite hobbies now without paying out the nose for it because these people who likely care nothing about Pokemon want to scam people for easy money. I know that there are much more pressing issues in the world, but I see this as greedy people taking advantage of a situation.
Just a warning, the link on the new game's title leads to a page with very bright flashing lights. I'm sure this isn't intentional, but someone at Nintendo Life needs to take the link down.
This game looks amazing! When I saw it at the Xbox show, I was really hoping for a switch version. (No ill will to Xbox fans of course, I just own a switch already.) I also am happy to see next gen games being ported to Switch. That bodes well for the platform's future.
I was personally pretty excited by this direct. I see a lot of people bouncing off of Rogue Company, but I personally think it looks like a very interesting and potentially solid entry in the "battle Royale" genre. Also, Cadence of Hyrule getting new content AND a physical release is great, and I love to see this kind of collaboration between Nintendo and Indie developers. Finally, while Shin Megami Tensei isn't my thing personally, I know it has its fans and I can tell even as a non fan that both SMT V and the HD remaster of the older game look like very high quality releases. Overall, very positive direct.
At the end of the day, what matters is that he was happy, and got to spend his last moments with the ones he loved. Even though I didn't know him, my condolences to Chris' loved ones in this hard time.
