@belmont With the current stagnation of console hardware holding back graphical progression, gaming PCs rarely need upgrading, providing you buy smart in the first place.

The only reason to upgrade past say, an i5 and a 560Ti is if you wanted to run games past 1920x1080 at 60FPS or more. Which is kinda niche for the average PC gamer.

@JaxonH I knew I was missing one or two.

I wouldn't hold my breath for Watch_Dogs or Yoshi's Yarn coming out if I were you.

@Daisaku36 It would be a lot quicker to just list the ones coming to the WiiU and assume all other aren't.

It is a biased article.

I made no mention of graphics, but I agree with you on that.
I feel we have hit a point now where graphics are "good enough" (I honestly thought we hit the point with the 6th gen consoles).

@Alshain01 Yes and no. There's a story to it, but it's mostly there to frame the OTT set pieces. It's not essential viewing, but you can follow it if you want to.

I'm doing my part already. I encourage you all to make and Yeah as many posts as you can on Miiverse, tweet to Nintendo/Sega in twitter and do whatever on Facebook.

I see Miiverse being much more influential over Ninty than FB/Twitter though, so if you can only do one thing, support this campaign on Miiverse.

@biglee Nintendo games don't tend to have a lot of voice acting and pretty simplistic textures allowing for lower resolutions. Those are two of the main memory hogs in games.

I like their approach to digital pricing on the WiiU eShop. Most games lately have been the same price or cheaper than retail. That's great.

Make future installs optional. That way, the people without external HDDs may have to sit through longer loading times but they won't be left unable to play the game.
Those with external HDDs will be able to play the game as intended.

Potentially good move. No point printing a million copies if it's not going to sell a million. That's just a waste of money.

Sure, Call of Duty is a big franchise, arguably the biggest. However the fanbase is already well rooted into Microsoft and Sony's consoles. No CoD player is going to buy a Wii U to play Call of Duty on.

I'd rather Ninty continue making games and not attempt to make interactive films.

I don't see people rushing out to upgrade their 360/PS3 for a Xbone/PS4. Not with so many popular titles being cross platform (CoD, FIFA, MADDEN).

/Opinion

Games are a strange medium.

Films have a variety of genres. Horror, thriller, animated, musical, ect. all targeted to different audiences.
Books have a variety of genres too, all targeted to different audiences like films are.
Music, again has a variety of genres for different people and targeted towards different people.

Games, as the developer/publisher see them, have only ONE audience they want to sell to anymore.
The CoD audience.
It seems every genre in gaming over the last 10 years has been melted down and molded into a shooter of some sort to attract more sales.

For example, survival/horror games are almost a thing of the past. When a good one does come around, it gets panned by reviewers for being too challenging.
Instead, we now have "spook shooters" where you go around shooting enemies like any other game until something pops out goes "BOO!".

It's funny/sad too since the majority of the CoD audience is quite happy playing CoD.
So the developers/publishers **** on their existing fanbase to make a game for another fanbase that doesn't even want to play their game.

@hiptanaka Honestly, Deus Ex being announced for the WiiU swayed me over the most to buy the system. I don't expect many (if any) other fans of the series to do the same but it may sway others to see the WiiU as a potential purchase in conjunction with other quality games.
