Sequence broke the 2nd stage by throwing myself at the guardian as soon as it appeared for like 5 minutes straight, being careful to dodge its attacks. I felt proud of myself for being able to do that, and got a 200 Ruppee reward for my time beating the stage, but eventually went back and completed it as intended. You apparently just unlock Zelda after the stage is completed if you do what I did
I really don't buy this explanation. The original version of Halland, which was remixed in Steve's reveal trailer, was plenty calm in its own right. If they were able to make that sound good in Smash, they definitely could've with songs like Sweden or Minecraft (there are fan remixes on Youtube that attest to this). Not to mention, we literally have a song called "environmental noises" on Distant Planet. My personal theory is that they either couldn't get the rights to use C418's music, or they just didn't ask. If I remember right, C418 is a freelance artist, so he owns the rights to all music he composed for Minecraft. He did not, however, compose for any of Minecraft's spinoffs. That being the case, it stands to reason that he either didn't want his music in Minecraft, or that the devs never approached him on account of trying to keep Steve's inclusion as private as possible. The Smash devs have been really good about keeping the newcomers from getting leaked (barring the Belmont incident).
Ah well, ultimately it doesn't matter too much. I'm just glad Steve's in the game, though it'll feel really weird playing on a Minecraft stage and never hearing Sweden.
Edit: I'm not sure if this accounts for Pigstep though, really unsure if that song's composer was a freelance artist like C418 or not
