@samuelvictor Also, my game store friend (well, more so friends, as I know many people who work there), contacted SEGA directly before they even opened pre-orders for the game, and a representative from SEGA confirmed the physical copy- which is why the pre-orders for it were opened to begin with! My local game store does not even open pre-orders for games that have no physical copy confirmed or announced, so they wouldn't have had pre-orders open to begin with if a physical copy was not at all happening!
@samuelvictor While that does make a lot of sense, the fact that I was able to pre-order the physical copy at my local game store means that the inevitable physical copy will be out sooner than you think! I mean, I wouldn't have been able to pre-order it at all if something wasn't coming right off the bat! Also, the PlayStation Store mentions a physical copy as well, so there's another reason to believe that a physical copy will be released sooner rather than later! My response to you was intended as a separate comment as opposed to me not believing you or calling you wrong- which was never the case! Apologies if it made you think otherwise (and I'm not saying it did)!
@Pandy-the-Panda I've shopped at this game store for years, so I'd know if they sell digital games or not, and unless it's an instance of something like Overwatch on Nintendo Switch- which is a 100% online game and thus has no game card, they do not sell digital games. I would not have even pre-ordered the game if it was that, and the representative from SEGA that my local game store talked to confirmed the physical release- which is why I was able to pre-order it! They even have a big chalkboard of all the games you can pre-order once they're available and Sonic Origins was indeed one of them! Considering that I pre-ordered it just yesterday, it's obviously something that a lot of people don't know yet- including Katie! But like I said, I'm here to help it become known!

What I pre-ordered was a 100% complete physical copy, as my local game store would not have even offered it as a pre-order of it wasn't going to be getting a physical copy at all.
