Honestly, while I still don't put too much stock into rumors as a personal policy, I could easily see all three of these rumors working out.
Yes, if true, Zelda U coming to NX means that Wii U will likely lack its own main Zelda game. That being said, the Wii U experiencing disappointment is hardly even news at this point as far as I'm concerned, and if this rumor is true, at least it still gets the game.
As for voice acting, I don't particularly care if it's "not tradition," so long as it actually works. And considering this is a major home console Zelda game, Nintendo is totally going to put in the effort to ensure the voice acting is good.
It's the same deal with the female character choice. Even if this rumor is true, it need not mean Link's gender is malleable for this game. It could mean a version of Linkle is a playable character choice. All I know is, because this is a major home console Zelda game, Nintendo is going to make sure it works, if indeed it happens at all.
Meh, I've already accepted that the Wii U is by far the weakest of the eighth-gen consoles. And with all the graphical detail in the models, the fast-paced and complex gameplay, and the need for 60fps, it makes sense there'd have to be some serious concessions for resolution.
@PlywoodStick Everything I'm hearing about the NX (as a total non-insider, of course) indicates that right now, Nintendo doesn't want a single bit of information about it getting out until the time is right; thus, they won't even talk about a supposed "leak" to dismiss it as fake.
Heck, do the people in charge of contact with the media even know enough about the NX to know when a "leak" is in fact fake? I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo were hiding the NX from them just to minimize the potential of a leak.
EDIT: And one more thing; if they made a habit of calling out fake leaks, and a real leak came along, what would they do then? If they lied and said it was false, people wouldn't believe them the next time they called out a fake leak. If they said nothing, it would be like admitting it was real. So, it's better to just say nothing at all.
@aaronsullivan Yeah, I agree that a touchscreen controller without buttons wouldn't necessarily work like a typical mobile phone does. Especially not if Nintendo's going to make it.
As for the cost of the NX, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Though, I can see them willing to sell at a loss if they can make up for it with games. They've had to do so with both the 3DS and the Wii U, and they did fine with the 3DS at least, if I remember correctly.
@aaronsullivan Yeah, I agree that good haptic feedback can work. My question is, would Nintendo be able to afford it? I'm pretty sure they're going to keep a better eye on how expensive their main controller gets this time.

Re: Reaction: Nintendo Shakes Up E3 With No NX and a Focus on Legend of Zelda
So, NX won't be at E3? Odd...but I don't want to jump to any conclusions in THIS case, certainly. They're going to want to promote NX somehow.
But hey, at least the most disappointing E3 announcement is already over.
Re: Reaction: The NX Release in March 2017 and How It Changes the Game
Hmm...this launch date...maybe the parts won't be ready for Holiday 2016? As in, the high-spec parts that exceed what's going into PS4 NEO?
Hey, it's a possibility.
