I gave up on this pack ages ago. I was hoping for Nintendo to add more games and improve online without increasing the price but it took a 5 year wait + 30$ increase.
So I refuse to pay for the pass unless they lower the price but I know they won’t do that unfortunately.
@nessisonett True but you can like money and not be greedy.
In decisions like this, corporations are slimey enough to understand that people will support their products no matter what. Why lower the price if they will get their money anyways?
In terms of animation, Animal Crossing was done justice. Another AC movie should be done in Japan and 2D animated in similar fashion.
I saw the Mario anime in the 90s I believe. I liked the look but thought Mario benefited more with CGI due to its cartoony nature. I’d still take a Studio Ghibli Mario Movie over an Illumination Mario Movie.
@SillyG I would actually prefer CGI for a Mario and Donkey Kong film imo. Just make it more interesting than Illumination’s films. (Basically more budget)
Zelda should definitely be 2D animated though. Animal Crossing and Splatoon could be 2D as well. Metroid could be either, but I would want a high budget for Metroid regardless. Do it justice.
I definitely agree with the voice actors. Just get the voice actors from the games everytime. (Or if the character has no voice actor get someone from a show that’s memorable and liked like Ted Lewis for King Dedede or Benedict Campbell for King K. Rool)
Basically what matters to me imo is that these movies look artistically interesting as in unique. I don’t detest Illumination because they are American CGI, I detest them because their story departure lacks and their movies look too bland & samey.
SpiderVerse looks different than most of Sony’s output. I’d like Nintendo movies to emulate that creative risk. Basically I want good movies.
@rushiosan Funny looking back at this movie it was exactly that.
Mario went from the “real world” to the Mushroom Kingdom. Hollywood is full of dummies.
@rushiosan In regard to videogame movies “fun” is a sneaky way of saying a film with bad storytelling but with a popular game mascot to save the day with sells.
@PinderSchloss Do you prefer Link to talk or stay silent? If you prefer Link to talk, do you believe a silent Link is possible for a successful film transition in theaters?

Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Costs $60 On Switch
@Okko Being a dedicated fan doesn’t equate to getting off by being scammed.
I LOVE Donkey Kong and consider myself to be a huge fan of all the titles, no chance I’ll buy this at that price.

He’s a legend regardless of the age.
Good luck with everything Miyamoto.
Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Costs $60 On Switch
@electrolite77 I’m not telling people not to buy it. I’m saying that I think it’s overpriced and it’s a bad deal.
If you want to still buy it, what can I do?
Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Costs $60 On Switch
@Vil I’m saying I obviously agree with you. Sorry if I made that unclear.
I too can’t wait for the day of consumers demanding more. I’m honestly shocked how much slop takes over media nowadays.

Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Costs $60 On Switch
This is so disappointing and I love Donkey Kong.
Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Costs $60 On Switch
@BrianJL Not enough people refuse to get it, which causes Nintendo and greedy companies in general to not lower the price.
Use a brain and not support corporate greed.

@PinderSchloss The animation wasn’t even anything special or unique. (Especially character designs)
Especially comparing to Illuminations big sister DreamWorks’ Bad Guys and Last Wish.
