Love to hear this, the DF team all seem like great people and their tech deep dives are unmatched. Definitely not going to complain at more retro videos either.
@k8sMum I'm not prone to motion sickness so I can't speak on it. That said, it is a definitely little fuzzy at points (some tiled surfaces fizzle and shadow draw is noticeable) so if you play on PC a lot then steam is probably a better bet for the performance boost!
One other thing: the game does have some daily check-in quest type stuff which i think suits playing portable, if you've got a steam deck then you're completely sorted
The craziest thing is that the game drops you in Castle Town during the intro, and it's the worst area for framerate i've seen in like ten hours of gameplay. Playtesters definitely saw it and it's weird that it wasn't addressed.
That said, 90% of the time i don't mind it, about 50% of the time the framerate is fine.
My reflex was to be glad that Palworld, with its ripoff pokemon designs, was facing some repercussions. The more I think about it though, I wish it could be allowed to succeed and encourage the Pokemon Company to make better games. It may be scrappy and a bit of a ripoff but that's not unique for the industry.
I'll be keen to know what patents are the issue here, if there's a legit case.

"We will absolutely catch everyone."
That has to be a mistranslation, they must've said "we'll catch 'em all"

"Lasagna-esque races"?! This is real innovation

I'm only like five hours in but the performance on switch hasn't bothered me at all (I'm excited to get the Switch 2 and bask in the upgrade)
As a longtime Layton fan, it makes me really happy to see Level 5 having a big hit with this
