Why are you so against level editors in SMB? If you don't like them, don't use them. It's that simple.
Hackers? No one said anything about hackers.
Wait, so you like the idea of a homebrew stage builder, but not an official, built-in one?
Y'know, even if a game doesn't have a level editor, the devs can still make their own stages. (How did you think they made the ones that come with the game?)
Miyamoto did that for MvsDK2? Where did you hear that?
Again, just because you can download stages, that doesn't mean you have to.
Turning the 3D slider down probably won't improve the battery life unless it's completely off. I could be wrong about this, but it just doesn't make sense that playing with 3D at 50% would use less power than playing with it at 100%. The machine renders the frame once for each eye no matter where the slider is (unless it's at 0%, which I'm guessing causes it to render only once), so why wouldn't it use the same amount of power for each slider position?
@Ian Daemon: No, the Prime series takes place right after the first game (but I don't see why reploidx thinks she only fought Ridley twice). Oh, and you can skip the cinematics.
Overall, it's a fantastic game, but here are some things I would improve on:
It needs more exploration. Make it less linear and more like Super Metroid.
I was never a fan of the beam-stacking system (I mean, how can you use the Plasma Beam at the same time as the Ice Beam?!). Make it more like Metroid Prime, or at least Super Metroid.
This is ridiculous. How could #1 not be a Nintendo game? And how could Halo top Zelda? Halo is mediocre at best, and nothing separates it from all the other generic "run & gun" FPS's out there.
@8: I think post #7 meant they thought it was bad until they saw it was from Capcom. Either that, or BlueFlameBat has mistaken Capcom for some other company.
@23: Yeah, the DS isn't pressure sensitive, only touch sensitive.
One of my friends once said the Wii isn't hardcore because "there aren't any games worth playing online". He want on to say that the definition of a hardcore gamer is "someone who plays online". I wholeheartedly disagree. I said (sarcastically) "I guess there weren't any hardcore gamers in the 80's, then". That sure got him to be quiet.
I remember something about Sony suing Nintendo over the classic controller design (pretty ironic), but this doesn't ring a bell. Anyway, I'm glad this turned out like this.

Re: Rumour: Using Piracy Devices May Disable Your 3DS
I don't use flash carts, but I really hope this doesn't apply to homebrew.

Re: First Impressions: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Pass. Let me know when they decide to remake ALTTP.
Re: Review: Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! (DS)
@32: Yeah, but the first one was just as good, if not better.
Re: Review: Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! (DS)
I love this series, but I kinda wish they'd go back to controlling only Mario like it was in the first two games. It works better that way IMO.
Re: New Kirby Patches Have Club Nintendo Rewards All Sewn Up
Those patches are very likely to be my first purchase from Club Nintendo.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Nearly Had a Shoot 'em Up Stage
@22: Funny you should say that, one time I almost ended up making an SMB FPS fan game.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Nearly Had a Shoot 'em Up Stage
@7: Yeah, Quote can shoot bullets and throw fireballs!
Re: Feast Your Eyes on 3DS's Launch Line Up in Japan
I was expecting Kid Icarus, since the whole reason they made it was to show off the system's capabilities.
Re: Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light Action Battle Points Trailer
Awesome! It looks like the battle system from the older games (pre-ATB), but more "modern".
Re: Sakamoto Wants to Know Your Metroid: Other M Thoughts
You skip the cinematics by pressing the minus button.

Re: Get a Feel for Okamiden with New Screenshots and Gameplay Video
Looks even better than the first one!
Re: Get the Lowdown on And Yet It Moves with this Series of Videos
I played the PC demo, and while it was fun, the full version only has 16 levels. I think I'll save my points.
Re: High Court Outlaws Flash Carts in UK
@metakirbyknight: THANK YOU. I can't stand it when people say homebrew/backup copies are illegal.
Re: Yes, There Really Is a Zelda Master Timeline Document
I think the timeline shown in GameTrailers' LoZ Retrospective is pretty accurate (except for Twilight Princess).
Re: Yes, There Really Is a Zelda Master Timeline Document
It's hard to type out the timeline since it splits after OoT. Anyway, this was confirmed a long time ago.
Re: Yes, There Really Is a Zelda Master Timeline Document
I thought it was already common knowledge that there was a timeline.
@10: If only.
Re: The Nintendo Era is Over, Tweets Former Final Fantasy Scribe
The iPad is a great device, but not for gaming. Apple will never come even remotely close to Nintendo in the gaming market.
Re: Embark on a New Adventure With Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light
I'm glad this is finally being released outside of Japan. I've had my eye on it for a while.
Re: Monster Hunter Tri, Sin and Punishment Nowhere to Be Seen in UK Charts
I'd say it's an action/adventure game with hardly any traditional RPG elements.
Re: Monster Hunter Tri, Sin and Punishment Nowhere to Be Seen in UK Charts
Since when is Monster Hunter a JRPG?
Re: Review: Sin and Punishment: Star Successor (Wii)
This was already on my must-buy list. I loved the N64 game, and I can't wait to try the new controls.
Re: Guinness Appoints Zelda the Third-Best Game Series Ever
@10: I have played both, and they are heavily geared toward non-gamers.

"...including the new Wii Zelda and Pikmin..."
Does that mean the new Pikmin game will be for Wii?
