I hope it won't be just a run through of what has happened. For one, nothing much action packed has gone on, not enough to make a game anyway. It would be good if it was made as a different aspect to the Lost story, just like in Enter The Matrix, you found new things out about the film and even included new cut scenes.
I don't think Nintendo expected the DS to be so popular. The dropping of Gameboy2 and the fact that they are not sure of all the linking to Wii details both show this. So many different controllers for the wii now, theres so much potential that I think the wii will outlast both other consoles. There would be no need to make a new next next gen console really.
I agree. it really is futile stating all this, everyone knows it already. Stealing anothers ideas is a part of business but I do feel for Nintendo; you spend all time and effort designing something that noone else has done (a 'Revolution') and for it to be copied is dis-heartening.
I'm not too sure about this, sure its nice to have something that resembles something in our past, but things do evolve, just as controllers have since the SNES in terms of comfort and ergonomics. Is this step-back, a step in the right direction? Or is our vision clouded by our childhood affections?
I only just realised the new gun is only a handle. Really good idea. And a bit of plastic can't cost much to make so hopefully it will be bundled with the Wii. Time Crisis is a must though.
It sounds like he is trying to be a rebel. Like "I'm not doing what Nintendo tells me even though it adds whole new directions for my games, it's just that I'm not very creative and can't think of a way to use it". He is cutting his nose of despite his face. Dismissing it completely. Yes it doesn't need to be used for every game but to speak that negatively about it seems strange. Hopefully he is just a minority of sceptics.
I swear almost every game coming out of the Revolution is unique and creative in some way. Who would have ever thought of developing a game in Black and White!? Brilliant. Eternal Darkness relied on atmosphere, and that worked well and I genuinely got scared (only a little honest ). I hope this is well made too because it has so much potential.
Basic premise sounds cool. But with the amount of games coming out that are super hyped, and been known to be good; I think this will stuggle. It has been added to my 'to-get list' which is now boasting 24 games...
Nintendo obviously made the right move to go online, especially after lack of support for the GC, which helped its download IMO. Online is the way forward. I am dissapointed though that more games are not wi-fi enabled. The new Worms game for example (well thats not even multiplayer).
I hope its sooner than August, well I hope it comes out now. Because I don't own a DS and I want the lite one instead. The price ^ converts to 88.82 GBP, not a bad price considering it will be new and the original will phased out.
"There will be no support for IRC, M2 (Opera's integrated email client), RSS or voice in the DS Browser. As you can imagine, there are inherently limiting resources in such a small device and having all these features just isn't possible." Java, Flash and PDF are not supported either (javascript IS supported). However, it should be possible to go to a web messenger services to use msn, same for webmail and irc.
I was looking into this game earlier when you put up the screenshots and they alone sold me. I remember an old pc game similar and it was great fun. Again innovation with the stylus will make this fun and hopefully a hit.
I'm not suprised by the sheer amount of sales at all. It's not really my type of "game" but I still want it. The novelty factor is just too overwhelming.
AWESOME! Transformers; as well as being the best cartoon/animation EVER. it has so much potential to be made into an excellent game(s). I can't wait! Cheers for the wallpaper aNt
Lots of DS news. I'm glad theres stuff happening for it and getting full support in all areas. I agree about the need for this for the world cup, maybe I'll send a letter.
"Mario getting a-pizza of the action" - Haha I'm not sure if thats clever or just mozzarella (cheesy). Tetris though does need more depth to it. I know its a simple puzzle game but it has gotten a little old.
I'm not sure I like this. Obviously I haven't held it so can't say for sure but I like the DS now, its easy and confortable to hold for me, and isn't fiddly. I don't need it to fit in my shirt pocket or anything. I hope it won't replace the original and just be an alternative.
It might not be all bad. MGS is very much like a movie anyway and has the storyline to make it as a movie unlike most others. Whether or not they stay true to it is the decider. So it probably will be bad then.
Great review Nanaki. It made me want it, and I got it for a fiver . I would say your review is spot on. It is great fun to play and actually quite rewarding when you take a decent picture. 9/10 seems right. Keep it up

Re: Video Games Live
Erm... I'm stumped.
Re: DS Lite To Launch June 1st?
I want one! What do you think would be the EU release date. I hope July but I reckon August or at the very earliest late July.

Re: Opera Web Browser For Nintendo DS
Opera is my favourite browser and I am looking forward to trying it out maybe. I'm not sure many people (or me) would fork out £20 for it though.

It's games like these which make me want a DS and eventually buy one.
