@Sean: Wow! That's surprising. I don't do cheats, i feel, y'know, like I've cheated, and therefore won't enjoy it as much. Games don't beat me, I beat them.

So yes, Nintendo needs to cater for both of us.

@skywake: OK, fair enough. I'm just against the idea tis all, and am clutching at straws. I want hard games, and I don't want the less able to get help achieving what I have managed on my own with hard work and yummy skills. They should keep trying till they get it, like I do. With anything in life, how do you ever get better, while someone is holding your hand.

But yeah, that doesn't make very good business sense, and Nintendo's newly found 'casual' market, need a game that doesn't kick them in the nuts from the off, as they will be put off in the future.

I, however, want games that push me, and test my patience. I sure hope NSMBW fits that bill, despite the kid-gloves. Can't wait!!! But have to.

@invmat: I imagine the game engine takes up a lot more space than any levels removed.

The Wii's memory is there to be written upon, and re-written. I wasn't aware it was an issue. If ever my Wii memory fails, I'll blame you.

Nah, if you aint good enough, then you don't deserve all the stars, that's the way I've always viewed it. Tis a reward, for your skills. I don't want everyone and their mum gettin' max stars, just cos they watched someone else do it. Lame!

It won't be as easy to implement in a 3D Mario anyway, as there is usually more than one way around a problem.

I'm annoyed to see though, that the exact same screenshots were used as the 'news' report a while ago, which basically attempted to destroy any hope that this might be good, having read it on Kotaku/Demonoid or where-ever it was. That still p1sses me off.

OK, I've had a look, and promptly gifted the Beat demo to half a dozen people. I'm always jabbering at people, saying stuff like "ya gotta get this dude". Now I can send them a demo.

Joygasm! I can now play the demo's of three games I have already downloaded. This isn't quite what I had been hoping for. Far too limited. Oh well.

It's gonna be a long 10 days, but it will be the best birthday present ever!!! I'm gonna save reading this review till the day before, I couldn't handle it now. 0_o

I'm back from Milton Keynes, and whilst I was sat in the city centre for 3 whole hours watching ladies go bye, there was no sign of any Rabbids.

Spot on Corbie. There was absolutely NO marketing for DS:Extraction, whatsoever. Thinking about it, I never see EA games being plugged. Advertising equals increased sales, it's basic stuff really.

Jumping the gun a bit there aren't they. Fax machines could be gone in a year or two, but the rest could be around for another 5 years, easily.

I bet they didn't mention that the printed press is in more danger than any of those items.

Whilst I found the original package to be a real joy, I find these bite size downloads a real insult. Chopping a game up and releasing levels individually is the height of laziness. Speaking of which, I can't be arsed typing this in each of the 5 reviews.

From someone who played it on the GC, I highly suggest playing the original version (if you can find it), as the NPC controls sound horrible by comparison. They are replacing analogue control with point and click, which just wouldn't be the same.

I've been playing a lot of lego recently, whilst babysitting mini-ones, this has inspired me to create Nintendo stuff. Yay!

I love the crisp clean look, and from the trailers I've watched previously, I know I'll have fun scratching my noggin over this.

@Bass: I appreciate where you are coming from. But, If it is only available online and in certain retailers, it will inevitable struggle, as only those who were previously interested in the title will go looking for it. When in store, all sorts of people will buy it in passing. If it's not there, they will never know it even existed. Tis a real shame, as companies like Rising Star just won't bother in the future, as it will no longer be viable to take such risks.

@token girl: I don't need to buy such games, I just borrow them from my niece. And I'm sorry to say, all Prosody's ponies got turned into glue.
