@HHappyGoose88 Doom could’ve gotten a Dudley skin. It would’ve been sick. But Blizzard does an amazing job at pumping out an incredible amount of skins for Kiriko. Good thing I don’t play OW anymore!
@tedko That's actually pretty smart that you and your friends did that. I gotta say it is damn near a good deal. As long as you didn't have to pay more than 10 bucks for it then it's all good IMO lol.
@Mr_Pepperami I hear you, voice chat is pretty much the biggest deal breaker for me as well. Couple that with the annoying friend codes, but if they just had built in voice chat it'd do wonders.
@tedko Totally agree. It's a shame because I just bought Splatoon 2 last week and it's really fun. I'm definitely going to get Smash Ultimate and stick to local matches. Plus I go to a huge university so there are a lot of people I can play with without the need of online. I'm not buying into NSO until Nintendo makes improvements and add actual worth to it. Gamecube games would be super sick IMO, I don't give a crap about NES games. My old Samsung Galaxy S6 can run Dreamcast games.
People think "It's just 20 bucks a year" but think for a sec. Just 1 million people paying that 20 bucks is 20 million dollars for Nintendo. The fact that friend codes are still a thing, we still have to use our phones to voice chat, among other things, I cannot stand for buying this sorry excuse of an online service. I still love my Switch, but this online service is trash when it comes to its worth.
You’re missing two key features for PS+ Why did you leave out party chat? Also, the mobile apps, which you don’t even need PS+ to use as they are not behind a pay wall. PS App where you can access the PS store from your smartphone and download games, as well as check which friends are online and even mess with your online status.
You also have PS messenger where you can message your friends and even randos. You can even use emojis and they’ll register in text on PS4 🤙🏾
Next you have PS Communities which is a mobile extension of the built in community forums on PS4. It’s super neat honestly.
Finally, you have PS second screen that can allow your smartphone to perform certain commands straight to your PS4. And boy oh boy, how could I forget, PS4 has Spotify which is sick! Looking at all 3 services objectively, PSN is the best. You get what you pay for. No way am I paying for NSO, it’s just not worth it.
If Sonic Team develops a 3D Sonic game with the art style and gameplay mechanics as the fan game Sonic Utopia, I think they’d win fans, as well as plenty of newcomers over. Couple that with a new and interesting story that isn’t your usual ordeal (Eggman trying to take over the world... again), it would greatly increase the game’s chances of success. Giving players control without compromising Sonic’s speed too much is a very reachable goal.
Instead of the linear gameplay that many Modern Sonic games are known for, grant expansive level designs with a handful of different paths throughout levels. Sonic Utopia does it so right, and it was just an early demo, with an updated one coming soon.
I also believe that Sonic Team can pull off a successful multiplayer mode. Picture the character creation in Sonic Forces, but more robust. Speed type (hedgehog, chameleon), power type (echidna, crocodile), and aerial type (fox..err lol, bees or bats). Then picture these created characters all working together to complete goals, like solving puzzles and defeating an original boss. Maybe like a Destiny raid. I’m imagining this all taking place in a Sonic Utopia style game, both art style and level design.
