@nin10doom Maybe it’s because over the last few years most people have gotten used to 60 fps modes in almost every major game — heck, even handhelds from other manufacturers offer, if not 60, then at least a stable 40 frames in nearly every title. And here we are in 2025, with Nintendo releasing a console that struggles to keep a stable 30.
Switch 2 Pro needed ASAP. Jokes aside, we have to face the truth — Nintendo’s new console is already too weak at launch, and if someone wants to play big AAA games on a handheld, they’ll probably have to turn their eyes toward devices from other manufacturers.
@elpardo1984 Yes, it does, but that mode is even worse. Not only does the internal rendering resolution drop to 360p, but the game still fails to maintain the target 40 fps, averaging only around 33 frames.
Someone above posted a link to Phawx’s video — everything’s in there.
To be honest, the results are quite disappointing. Sure, the Switch is more powerful in docked mode — but that was expected. What interests me more is the handheld mode, and that's where things don't look so good. Frame drops down to 23 FPS and noticeably worse performance than on the 3-year-old Steam Deck. That’s definitely not what I was hoping for.
I have both a Switch and a Steam Deck and when it comes to the Valve handheld, SteamOS is the real gamechanger which gives the device a console feeling. A handhled gaming device with Windows? I had GPD WIN 2. No thanks.
Personally, I think that the successor of the Switch will be a console similar in form to its predecessor, but in addition to more powerful hardware, it will also bring something new. In other words, it will be what the 3DS was to the NDS or what the Wii U was to the Wii.
Seriously? Two old mobile games is all they can do? A bit of respect for Switch owners maybe?At least they could port Tomb Raider 2013 and RotTR from Xbox 360… Switch would easily run those two.
It would be nice if Nintendo finally noticed the Polish language at all. Funny fact - on Nintendo Switch there are already more than 100 games containing Polish language. In the description on the eShop, none of these titles contain information about the fact that the game actually contains Polish. Probably the same goes for Czech, Slovakia and others central/west european countries.

Re: Yes, Monster Hunter Rise Is Running On Capcom's RE Engine
@PLATINUM7
Probably because MH Rise will sell in milions on Switch on its own and RE games won’t

Re: Unravel Two Creative Director Explains Why The Game Isn't On Switch
Honestly I think that this game would sell better on the Switch than FIFA.
Re: Dead Or Alive 6 Might Come To Switch If Technical Hurdles Are Overcome

Re: Video: Performance Over Resolution - Digital Foundry Tackles Super Mario Odyssey
@Yasaal actually there are a lot of Xbox One/PS4 games that won't run at 1080p. And even more of these games won't run at 60fps.
