Re: Report: Amazon UK Offering Partial Refunds Following Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Complaints

@NESguy94

I've got my Switch sat next to my Sky Q Mini box which also works as a Wifi Extender. Not had any interference or anything. I don't think it's that which is an issue though.

From what I've seen it's mostly people living in apartment blocks or other places where you'll have a lot of different wifi signals and other stuff trying to compete with each other that can cause interference.

Re: Nintendo Switch With Dead Pixels? It's Not A Defect, Claims Nintendo

@Kirgo
Well I think there's some stuff to be genuinely annoyed about. If I get a replacement for example, I'm going to lose all the hours I put into Legend of Zelda. All because they we're too afraid of hackers to put in a save back-up system.

The scratching screen thing seems to be that some peoples docks are slightly bent, which is causing the little plastic bit to touch the screen when it shouldn't.

@Kirgo That is the problem, yes.

They're fine until you notice them. People have probably had them before but didn't see it. Someone seeing an article is more likely to make them go looking for them.

I had a stuck pixel on my PSP which was rather annoying. I spent ages trying to fix it with those flashing applications. I don't think I actually managed to fix it in the end, probably just lived with it.

Since my Switch is new and within the first days of ownership I'll probably get a replacement though since I should be able to. (UK's rules generally allow you to return stuff in the first 14 days without much of a reason due to distance selling regulations)

Re: Delivery Issues Spoil Nintendo Switch Launch Day for Unlucky UK Buyers

KageMaru

Yeah I only received my Switch today from NUK and as it turns out they used Hermes, which by the way, I consider to be the worst courier in the UK, slightly below Yodel. Disappointing considering I pre-ordered the Neon Switch as soon as it went up in January.

Until today I had no idea who had my package. I got given a tracking code for Royal Mail on Thursday evening, and that never updated past "Pre-advice Received" meaning they never got it. I was at home all day so someone would be in to collect it, but I just spent the day worrying and waiting wondering where it had got to. I tried contacting Nintendo multiple times. I tried messaging in the morning and still haven't got a reply from that. I phoned 3 times, for a collective 2hours in total. All that time was spent on hold, until they inevitably cut my call after 40mins of waiting for various laughable reasons.

Really terrible communication from them.

@gingerbeardman The problem is best people on here seem to be getting is £17, which is frankly nothing compared to what people lost by taking the day off. It's also nothing in comparison to all the aggro, annoyance and worry which we all spent yesterday doing. It's especially nothing in comparison to all the time we've collectively spent on their rubbish phone system which they kept cutting us off of after being on hold for 30+ mins.

Re: Poll: Merry Switchmas - Has the Nintendo Switch Launch Got You In a Festive Spirit?

KageMaru

I was really excited last night ready to receive my Switch the next day.

Now I'm just irritated and disappointed since Nintendo UK managed to mess up so badly. I don't know where my parcel is, and I wasted the day waiting, worrying and listening to their repeated zelda tunes on the phone while in the queue. Before they kept dropping the call time and time again of course. Royal Mail still haven't received it, and Nintendo never sent me any other tracking code.

Really killed my launch day spirit you know. :/
