I've got my Switch sat next to my Sky Q Mini box which also works as a Wifi Extender. Not had any interference or anything. I don't think it's that which is an issue though.
From what I've seen it's mostly people living in apartment blocks or other places where you'll have a lot of different wifi signals and other stuff trying to compete with each other that can cause interference.
@Kirgo Well I think there's some stuff to be genuinely annoyed about. If I get a replacement for example, I'm going to lose all the hours I put into Legend of Zelda. All because they we're too afraid of hackers to put in a save back-up system.
The scratching screen thing seems to be that some peoples docks are slightly bent, which is causing the little plastic bit to touch the screen when it shouldn't.
They're fine until you notice them. People have probably had them before but didn't see it. Someone seeing an article is more likely to make them go looking for them.
I had a stuck pixel on my PSP which was rather annoying. I spent ages trying to fix it with those flashing applications. I don't think I actually managed to fix it in the end, probably just lived with it.
Since my Switch is new and within the first days of ownership I'll probably get a replacement though since I should be able to. (UK's rules generally allow you to return stuff in the first 14 days without much of a reason due to distance selling regulations)
@Hotfusion I mean a lot of phones/tablets these days have very large resolutions, consequently an individual pixel is so small that you might not even notice a dead pixel even if you had one.
The difference with a Switch is, it's only 720p, so you can still very much notice ones existence.
Yeah, after all the kerfuffle with Nintendo Store on Friday, on Sunday I noticed a dead pixel. After I'd already spent a lot of times playing games. Consequently even if I got a replacement, there goes a lot of hours of saves. Sigh. I just don't seem to catch a break.
Yeah I only received my Switch today from NUK and as it turns out they used Hermes, which by the way, I consider to be the worst courier in the UK, slightly below Yodel. Disappointing considering I pre-ordered the Neon Switch as soon as it went up in January.
Until today I had no idea who had my package. I got given a tracking code for Royal Mail on Thursday evening, and that never updated past "Pre-advice Received" meaning they never got it. I was at home all day so someone would be in to collect it, but I just spent the day worrying and waiting wondering where it had got to. I tried contacting Nintendo multiple times. I tried messaging in the morning and still haven't got a reply from that. I phoned 3 times, for a collective 2hours in total. All that time was spent on hold, until they inevitably cut my call after 40mins of waiting for various laughable reasons.
@akaDv8R Thanks. Yeah, that was one of the first things I gave a try when I first turned on the console. I was always interested in RMX Neo on the Wii U but never got round to buying it, so getting RMX FAST on the Switch seemed perfect. I only did three races but seems really good so far!
@gingerbeardman The problem is best people on here seem to be getting is £17, which is frankly nothing compared to what people lost by taking the day off. It's also nothing in comparison to all the aggro, annoyance and worry which we all spent yesterday doing. It's especially nothing in comparison to all the time we've collectively spent on their rubbish phone system which they kept cutting us off of after being on hold for 30+ mins.
I was really excited last night ready to receive my Switch the next day.
Now I'm just irritated and disappointed since Nintendo UK managed to mess up so badly. I don't know where my parcel is, and I wasted the day waiting, worrying and listening to their repeated zelda tunes on the phone while in the queue. Before they kept dropping the call time and time again of course. Royal Mail still haven't received it, and Nintendo never sent me any other tracking code.
@Jkugler I'm not even sure Royal Mail has it. I feel like it may have accidentally been sent to their system. After all Nintendo's system thought everyone's was being shipped via Royal Mail. Even though they evidently weren't.
I feel like Nintendo is the only person you can contact to get to the bottom of this.
@Joeynator3000 Sorry, it's easy to do it with how much Nintendo Store have truly screwed up the Switch launch for me, and many others. Just really, really frustrated.
@Jkugler Same. Honestly I don't think they'll do anything though. The only time they do something is if the press pushes, and I don't think the press has really reported it outside of a small mention on Eurogamer.
@ROBLOGNICK Yeah I haven't had a problem before. My Ambassador New 3DS, they delivered next day via DPD.
To me it seemed like they ran out of time. They missed the Royal Mail deadline so they passed the others onto a different courier who could still offer next day service. Didn't update the automated system to reflect that.
@ROBLOGNICK They're either lying to us, or they're so incompetent that they don't know what the other half of the company is doing and are unknowingly telling us false information.
I'm going to give it some time, but if it gets later in the afternoon with nothing received I'll probably give them a ring. I have work, so I don't really want to be messing around with customer support helplines that can take ages to get through to.
@Bakura1984 I ordered Zelda from Amazon, and Bomberman from thegamecollection since I got better deals from those two sites. But yeah same I hadn't had any problems prior to this. Maybe I should have expected it, it is ran by the hut group and Zavvi always screw things up.
Yeah the tracking Amazon gave me for Zelda which was sent via Royal Mail actually says it was received by my local office and should be delivered today. Royal Mail where I live can deliver at any time though, I've seen them come as late as 3PM.
My Royal Mail tracking also says they haven't received the parcel. Not particularly happy at all. Who knows it's even via Royal Mail though, apparently on NeoGAF someone had theirs delivered via Hermes of all people despite getting a Royal Mail tracking code. What a mess.

Re: Nintendo Switch With Dead Pixels? It's Not A Defect, Claims Nintendo
@MadAdam81 I mean on a 720p 6.2" screen you certainly don't need a magnifying glass to see it.

Re: Delivery Issues Spoil Nintendo Switch Launch Day for Unlucky UK Buyers
@InternetBowser I've had screen protectors from Hori before and they've been good. They used to be the only screen protectors I trusted for portables.
Not anymore....
Re: Delivery Issues Spoil Nintendo Switch Launch Day for Unlucky UK Buyers
@Joh1121 It seems an issue with the design, there's a lot of complaints about it - https://www.amazon.com/Officially-Licensed-Premium-Protective-Nintendo-Switch/product-reviews/B01NCX8UUG/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_hist_1?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=one_star&reviewerType=avp_only_reviews
Re: Delivery Issues Spoil Nintendo Switch Launch Day for Unlucky UK Buyers
@ChessboardMan
Yeah I can confirm. I bought the premium hori screen protector and it peels off..
I've complained to where I got it from (GAME) but I'm not hopeful I'm going to get a refund.

Really terrible communication from them.

Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
My console finally arrived via Hermes. Like others, the Hermes label was above the RM 48 stamp. Not happy with Nintendo though, what a mess.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@Joh1121 You need to contact the online chat on myhermes, they then give you a code to use on hermesworld.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@timdickin On the Switchmas poll/article in the comments they said they were planning on doing an article today about it.

@Jamesrw Yep same. Nintendo don't seem to have put their support line back up either after they cut me for a third time at 7PM.

I don't know how true it is but someone on Eurogamer got compensation - http://www.eurogamer.net/profiles/BabyWuigi/comments/1887888
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
Cut off again. Great. Every hour like clockwork.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@JJ1 Could try Yodel, some had theirs dispatched through them.

Ditto
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
Nearly up to 40min on hold for a second time.....
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@Joh1121 Haha, same. Been on hold for another 15-20mins since it reopened. Ridiculous.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
@Joh1121 Nope I phoned up and I'm stuck in the queue.
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Reassures Customers On Day One Switch Deliveries
No email about it being Hermes here...
