Re: Looks Like Batman: Arkham Origins Isn't Getting Online Play On Wii U

Jacadamia

It's just like people have been saying, games are getting so expensive to make that one failure can result in a developer going out of business (a la Epic Mickey 2). This just shows that developers don't want to take risks so badly that they're afraid to support a brand new system because of low install base. I mean, of COURSE it's going to have a low install base, it just came out! They wanted it to pick up so rapidly and be equal with current consoles in the first year? Get real, maybe they'd be closer if they actually TRIED, but no, all we get is bad ports, and the occasional fair multi-platform release, and they sit around wondering why Wii U isn't selling well now, blaming nintendo because they don't want to do any of the hard work of creating a user base, they just want some one to sell their stuff to, and if they can't even help create a place for them to do just that because they're afraid to lose money, then there is something REALLY wrong with the industry.

Who knows, maybe i'm wrong and third parties won't be scared to even support PS4 and Xbone, maybe it's all just anti- nintendo bias... i hope not, or i hope nintendo can prove them wrong and slap some sense into the industry

Re: Flipnote Studio 3D World Gallery Priced and Detailed for Europe

The first word i said after reading this was: uh...?
The second time: okay...
the third time: Yus i got it!
But seriously, just reading about this makes me kinda feel claustrophobic about flipnote 3d. I'll probably be afraid to rate things unless they're amazing for fear of running out of coins. And that makes me worry about my flipnotes getting rated, cuz if not they basically get erased from the gallery?!

bleh... my excitement is now slightly turning to doubt...

argh! i honestly have no idea what to pick... I love Zelda and MM but i could just listen to the songs online, so the only reason for me getting the cds would be to own it... (which is awesome). But the poster's are really cool too, (WW's one of my top 2 zelda's, Luigi is awesome, and Pikmin 3 just looks amazing!) But since i share a room with my bro (he's 17 and would hate having game stuff on the wall) I'd have to wait 'til i have my own personal room in the future (like an office, gameroom, or something) to really put 'em to use, and they'd be a cool background for some video reviews or something.

...decisions decisions... i think i'll just think it over for a few days since i have a month to decide.

Re: Developer Interview: Ubisoft on the Expanding Rayman Legends and Wii U's Free Challenge Mode

I'm definitely going to buy this game, i loved the first one! It kind of bothers me that the devs won't say that the Wii U version is the most definitive after saying how it was only possible on the wii U, but thats probably because they don't wanna get Microsoft mad for saying their version isn't as good >_<

I want to buy this real bad, but i'm not sure if i'll have the money in september/october because of Pokemon Y, Zelda WW, and other games that might come out...

Re: Shin'en Confirms Jett Rocket II - The Wrath of Taikai

The thing i didn't like about the first game was Jett rocket himself... his face was so annoying and i bought the game thinking you could play as a mii since it said you use your miis in the game description (you only use them for ur file icons) and the other thing i don't like about him is his voice... ugh... I hope they change it ._.

Re: Latest Iwata Asks Episode Reveals Why Paper Mario Sticker Star Abandoned RPG Elements

i get what miyamoto is saying about games not needing stories to be enjoyable, but i feel like he's missing the point that what can really help a game be unique and more than enjoyable are MEMORABLE elements like story and characters and atmosphere. whenever i feel like replaying an old game i have its because i want to have that same experience again, and remember all the things that made it charming in the first place. i play luigi's mansion from time to time because i love its eery atmosphere and seeing luigi with a developed personality. when i play ttyd again it's to see all the fun characters and get involved in the story like i remember when i played it for the first time. i don't think i'll play sticker star again in the future (i do own it) just to re-experience a battle system that honestly isnt that rewarding, and short bursts of quirkiness from toads. i agree with miyamoto, but it takes artistic elements as well to make games a memorable experience, and one that can stand the test of time and still be an amazing experience in the future...

Re: Nintendo Executive Describes Rise of Tablet Gaming as "Undeniable"

the other day my lil sister was obsessed with this app on her ipad called subway surfers, it looked pretty fun but it was so repetitive... anyway she played it for so long (say..three hours?) and looked extremely bored, but she wouldn't stop. so i got my old ds lite, popped in new super mario bros and let her make a file, she played it for a while and actually got pretty in to it, and i felt pretty good when she said she had a lot more fun going on adventures than just running in a subway over and over again to get coins.

I used to always see little kids playing ds, but now im starting to see a lot more little kids playing their parents phones or ipads, and a lot of them think the games are a lot better because thats what theyre used too... it kinda makes me worry about nintendo, because most of those kids will probably just stick with apple when they get older
