Re: Ubisoft's Former Wii U Exclusive ZombiU Confirmed For PS4 & Xbox One Release

@TwighlightAngel — Because I want the image taken down. It was unprofessional and insensitive to use in the first place. From my experience with this site, it's usually family friendly. I feel safe browsing it with my kid nearby. That image changes everything. It turns the site into something else. Somewhere that's too harsh for the kiddos. I don't think that's what the NintendoLife staff is actually going for.

Re: GameStop Lists Crazy Majora's Mask New Nintendo 3DS XL 'Massive Bundle' for $500, Sells Out Almost Instantly

Hints_Whispers

This upsets me because my Majora's Mask New 3DS arrived in damaged condition (they accidentally shipped it in a box without any bubble wrap or packing material, so the console's box was all scraped up from sliding around in the shipping box, which destroyed its potential as a collector's item). When I contacted GameStop about it, I was told that they didn't have any more in stock, and so they could not replace it and could only refund the original purchase price. Now I see that they did have more systems, but they were planning on selling them for boatloads of money. That's messed up.

Re: Review: Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube)

I have two of those SSB special demo codes (for NA) that I wanted to give out. I didn't know who to give them to because so many people are asking for them. So I decided to post about it here as kind of an easter egg or something. Anyway, the first two people that reply to this (put @Hints_Whispers in your reply so I get an email) will get the codes.

Re: Feature: The Ten Best 3DS Games For Your Kids This Summer

@kirbygirl

As a member of the Nintendolife community, of course I am a fan of video games and so it should come as no surprise that I also think kids should be allowed to play them. In fact, some of my happiest childhood memories involve saving up enough rupees to buy a blue ring, jumping on a button to make a bridge disappear, and shooting even the fastest ducks. It's just that I think this should be done sparingly, and so I took a moment to encourage parents to consider alternative recreational activities. I don't think that's entirely out of line - I mean, Nintendo devices are actually programmed do the same thing (I'm sure you've gotten the "Why not take a break?" message before, which was probably even less solicited than my original comment). Looking back, I realize my comment could never actually convinced anyone of anything, except maybe that I was trolling for negative feedback, which I really wasn't. I'm happy your son plays outside a lot. I'm sure he'll treasure his time with nature at least as much as his time with Nintendo. Let's hope more parents are like you.

Re: Nintendo Goes Download-Only With The 2014 Club Nintendo Elite Rewards

Hints_Whispers

We should all report Nintendo to the BBB! I already commented on this article, but I have to leave another comment because the more I think about it the more disappointed I get. I bought a couple extra games to make it to platinum status because I assumed Nintendo would do what they always do and offer some amazing rewards, and now I feel like they kind of cheated us and broke our trust by going the cheap route this year. Oh, and to all of you who say we should just be happy with any reward: these rewards are a lot like the bonus you get at work - they are basically part of your salary, like how you factor the bonus in before you decide which job you're going to take, or in the case of Nintendo, we decide how many games we are going to buy based on the points it will take to reach platinum status.
