I would not plan on getting a preorder bonus from Target. In my experience, they are very sloppy about rolling out these extras. They forget to ship them to my store nearly half the time.
Nintendo is being hypocritical here. They make us buy a separate online subscription for each account on the same console. No sharing allowed. Then, they force all all accounts to share an island. It seems deciding when we have to share or not share depends on if they get more money out of it.
What? It's not like all the game's developers disappeared when Thanos snapped his fingers. Go ask someone about it. You are a jornalist. Finding the answers to questions like this is your job.
@TwighlightAngel — Because I want the image taken down. It was unprofessional and insensitive to use in the first place. From my experience with this site, it's usually family friendly. I feel safe browsing it with my kid nearby. That image changes everything. It turns the site into something else. Somewhere that's too harsh for the kiddos. I don't think that's what the NintendoLife staff is actually going for.
@MightyKrypto — Yes, good parents get overly upset about things that disturb and desensitize their children. You might not think young children are affected by these things, but they have tough skin and mushy hearts and minds. It's our job to protect them even when they don't think they need to be protected. There's a reason games like these are rated M.
"Nintendo" shares too many letters with the word "integrity." Maybe we should coin the word, "Nintegrity," and define it as: to promise to do one thing and then to not do that thing.
This upsets me because my Majora's Mask New 3DS arrived in damaged condition (they accidentally shipped it in a box without any bubble wrap or packing material, so the console's box was all scraped up from sliding around in the shipping box, which destroyed its potential as a collector's item). When I contacted GameStop about it, I was told that they didn't have any more in stock, and so they could not replace it and could only refund the original purchase price. Now I see that they did have more systems, but they were planning on selling them for boatloads of money. That's messed up.
I really appreciate the graph about the new model. Parents dropping that much cash for Christmas need to know the gift is at the end of its lifecycle. That's very important to consider. Still, with the deals out there right now on the system, it's such a tempting time to buy.
WOW! I didn't know about the Deluxe Promotion thing, and so I followed that link, typed in my information, and I have $15 in eShop credits that I didn't even know about! Thanks NintendoLife!
@mankira don't give up your physical copy of the MM soundtrack! I'm sure there's a way to get the demo for free. Maybe you should check out the NL review of SSB for the GC.
I have two of those SSB special demo codes (for NA) that I wanted to give out. I didn't know who to give them to because so many people are asking for them. So I decided to post about it here as kind of an easter egg or something. Anyway, the first two people that reply to this (put @Hints_Whispers in your reply so I get an email) will get the codes.
My favorite part of the update is you can finally see how many coins you've raked up. I thought I was getting close to 10,000 but I actually only have 6,500. It also shows you your win to lose ratio and a bunch of other cool stats! You get to the screen by pressing Select on the first menu screen.
As a member of the Nintendolife community, of course I am a fan of video games and so it should come as no surprise that I also think kids should be allowed to play them. In fact, some of my happiest childhood memories involve saving up enough rupees to buy a blue ring, jumping on a button to make a bridge disappear, and shooting even the fastest ducks. It's just that I think this should be done sparingly, and so I took a moment to encourage parents to consider alternative recreational activities. I don't think that's entirely out of line - I mean, Nintendo devices are actually programmed do the same thing (I'm sure you've gotten the "Why not take a break?" message before, which was probably even less solicited than my original comment). Looking back, I realize my comment could never actually convinced anyone of anything, except maybe that I was trolling for negative feedback, which I really wasn't. I'm happy your son plays outside a lot. I'm sure he'll treasure his time with nature at least as much as his time with Nintendo. Let's hope more parents are like you.
Kids should play outside in the summer. They'll have to spend the whole day indoors when school starts up again, and even worse, when they grow up they'll be stuck in an office from sunrise to sunset. Encourage your kids to go outside and explore the world this summer.
We should all report Nintendo to the BBB! I already commented on this article, but I have to leave another comment because the more I think about it the more disappointed I get. I bought a couple extra games to make it to platinum status because I assumed Nintendo would do what they always do and offer some amazing rewards, and now I feel like they kind of cheated us and broke our trust by going the cheap route this year. Oh, and to all of you who say we should just be happy with any reward: these rewards are a lot like the bonus you get at work - they are basically part of your salary, like how you factor the bonus in before you decide which job you're going to take, or in the case of Nintendo, we decide how many games we are going to buy based on the points it will take to reach platinum status.
We should probably cut Paresh a break. The writer of an article doesn't usually come up with the headline. The editor does that as they're piecing together the page.

Re: Geoff Keighley Reveals "Hype Trailer" For The Game Awards 2023
@Ded_Nexus Tears of the Kingdom is the best game I've ever played in my life. I think it's a masterpiece. Why do you think it is terrible?
Re: Geoff Keighley Reveals "Hype Trailer" For The Game Awards 2023
@Vexx234 What game deserves it?
Re: Geoff Keighley Reveals "Hype Trailer" For The Game Awards 2023
If I have to watch another awards show give Baldur's Gate GOTY over Tears of the Kingdom, I am going to puke

Re: Poll: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - What Would You Like To See Added In An Update?
Firing your kid as island representative could negatively affect their self-esteem. I would work with them and help them grow into the role.

That image is very disturbing for a site that is also used by young children.
