anyway I decided to get this and it's AWESOME! so far I haven't beaten Piston Honda (played for about 20 or 30 minutes) but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

Just got it and watched it. Everything looks great except for Pit and every mouth. Plus the voice acting is mediocre.

On average those VC games are less than a 7 (at least on the ratings from this site). Not much to lose there.

Anyway yeah the screens for this game look pretty good, but I don't know what you do in it. At all.

Just looking back at this with nostalgia. One thing that bugs me is that poker (at least 5 card draw) is low limit.

The Wii issue is a little blurry. Certainly Nintendo's main problem is dealing with shovelware.

But honestly, just because they're releasing old games on the VC doesn't mean they're coasting off of these games to sell the 3DS. Look at Super Mario 3D Land, or Kid Icarus Uprising, or Mario Kart 7, or the fact that Sakurai is developing a Smash Bros for it. Nintendo is dedicated to this system and releasing old games is just a convenient way to add appeal to the retro gamer.
Although yeah, it is kinda weird that the Game Gear system takes up 75% of the screen

And I want Columns! Hasn't everyone ever played Tetris a million times? I never got a chance to play Columns.

This is pretty fantastic! I, for one, like the boxy design. Everything looks cleaner. And I also love how big everything is, except for maybe the avatars because they end up super pixelated and whatnot. (well, looking over again, only some of them do)
Just a couple things I don't like... I wish the forum posts were up at the top again. Additionally I'd like the WiiWare and the Wii VC merged into the Wii Shop Channel, it's just inconsistent with the 3DSWare and 3DS VC being merged. I would think those things were easily fixed. Maybe in the next redo...

Still haven't gotten it yet. Only 17.80 on amazon... looks tempting

Interesting. If it's less than 3 dollars then I'll get it. One thing that bothers me is that whole mouse-and-cheese aesthetic. I've always hated that in cartoons, games, etc.
Plus there can only be so many different combinations, it seems like it could get bland fast.
