Review Maru's Mission (3DS eShop / GB)
Mission: Unbearable
Several months ago, the eShop saw the release of Avenging Spirit, a gleefully eccentric title that made us all sorry we missed it the first time around. Lightning doesn't strike twice for Jaleco with Maru's Mission, however, as this time the publisher has dusted off a forgotten title that really should have stayed that way. The...

Nintendo Download 9th February 2012 (North America)
Megamixes, burgers and Maru's Mission
A relatively quiet download this week, with just three titles on offer, one of which came from absolutely nowhere. 3DS Virtual Console: Maru's Mission (Game Boy, Hamster Corporation, $2.99) — Here's a title you don't hear of very often. A side-scrolling action platformer — what else? — Maru's Mission puts...
About The Game
Play as the ninja Maru in this action-packed side-scrolling game that will take you on a journey across the world!
While Maru is out for a walk with his girlfriend Cori, an evil samurai named Muramasa suddenly appears and kidnaps her! In Maru's efforts to track down and rescue her, he must face a number of mythological monsters while gaining new and powerful weapons in order to defeat them. Using the hints that are left behind by his enemies, Maru will follow a trail that will lead him across six different locations--including the bug-infested forests of America and the scorching desert sands of Egypt. Help our hero on his mission as he fights to rescue Cori!

Out tooodaaaay
Already looks to be a better game than the NES version.
That Japanese release date can't be right. The 3DS wasn't even out in January 2011.
It's a strange, strange game. Buy with caution.
@5 - Well It's not as well made as the mario games. For some reason you can jump high enough to get off the top of the screen, but views dont change. Life is easy to acuire and bosses are, while well designed, badly implemented into the game, and glitch quite a bit. Still not necessarilly a bad buy, but you'll see what I mean about its weirdness if you get it. :3
So you have have played it @Geo?
Besides, Super Mario Bros. is no weirder than this.
An Itallian man saving a princess from a giant spike shelled lizard, by eating mushrooms and flowers.
I think i am going to give it a try! Hopefully its good (fingers crossed)
@spzero NO!! NO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?! NOOOO
