@NEStalgia now that is some wonderful news about Square-Enix.
@Nintendo-or-Noth I've been hearing about the dangers of hyper inflation because of borrowing for decades and I ain't seen any hint of it happening yet. I defiantly ain't seen Republicans act like its a danger when in charge of the budget.
@Dezzy since when didn't workers share in more of the risk and losses than the bosses? The capitalists don't get laid off, they don't get their compensation cut in times of hardship, they don't have their positions outsourced, they don't face financial ruin if the company goes belly up.
@Nintendo-or-Noth If the USA is so broke then why isn't the military holding bake sales? The working class is struggling but that's because capitalist don't care if workers live or die only about profits and the government gave all the aid to big corporations who could've afforded to create rainy day funds but chose not to.
@Dezzy Unions are helpful in protecting employees from capitalists owners demanding they endanger themselves needless to maximize profits they don't get to share in. The reckless endangerment of employees is a prime reason why unions emerged in the first place.
This is a perfect example of why companies should be owned, structured and democratically operated by their workers instead of being owned, structured and operated by an unaccountable monied minority. At the very least these capitalists at Capcom should suffer years long house arrest and forfeiture of any money made to the workers.
@Zyph yes they change things but they're not very good at fixing issues people have with the games. Look at how long it took them to get rid of HMs, as a kid playing the originals I thought they needed to go because them taking up move slots hurt the game. There's no reason that a game like that would have to be super complex and difficult to learn and play.
@RadioHedgeFund As awesome as that would be I don’t think that will ever happen of at the very least in the next few decades. Which is a real shame because it sounds amazing.
The chibi style doesn’t really bother me but if this was how the games were gonna look Id see the games as having more worth. I’d almost promise to eat a shoe if they didn’t charge full price for the games, despite them being easy to make remakes.
Oh the joy of late stage capitalism! It won’t be long maybe a decade till the consolidation trend results in only two to four monolithic companies owning most game IPs.
Seeing how adults even those old enough to have a fully developed prefrontal cortex struggle with gambling this mechanic is unsuitable for children. They’re doing the right thing.
I think another aspect is that most workers feel alienated from the fruits of their labor they feel like cogs in a machine. In these games the fruit of the player's labor is theirs in whole to do with as they desire.
No one was happy about Tiger! Tiger! certainly not that happy. I do applaud them wanting to bring in younger people, fresh perspectives are good to have.
The world hasn’t been serious about the pandemic especially the USA so it’s no surprise. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was digital only again next year. There’s talk it’ll be another year or two till developing nations get the vaccines that’s more than enough time for the virus to mutate complete resistance to the current vaccines.
@Citano I love how they made me eat my words about them being cowards afraid to evolve the series, love it, love it, love it! I think when it comes out will have a lot to do with when Nintendo finishes development of BOTW2 because the Zelda team and MonolithSoft could both provide a lot of help given their recent works. If it's a 10/10 Switch sales will shoot into the stratosphere.
I hope it's a smashing success so the franchise goes in this direction, I'm so tired of the largely unchanged formula they've clung to. I really hope they release a demo to get player feedback cause that could really help them fine tune the game before release.
@Christofu I never understood them taking up a move slot except maybe as a way to make the game a bit more difficult in a very annoying way. I always thought HM abilities should be useable outside of battles if you had the correct badge and Pokemon that could use the abilities.
@Jokerwolf I've kinda given up on Gamefreak doing much more than the bare minimum. It took em' till generation 8 to get rid of HMs, a mechanic that even as a kid made no sense while I played gen one and two for the first times. I hope they surprise me one day.
@Brummieendo90 I think a lot of it has to do with an older segment of fanbase who've at least played pretty consistently being frustrated at the lack of any meaningful evolution of the games. For as old as the franchise is it hasn't changed all that much which is ironic given the theme of you need to evolve to do your best. Which doesn't justify toxicity.
I remember the last one so I have no ambitious expectations. They could dedicate the whole thing to a Pokemon Calorie Counter app and it wouldn't surprise me.
@Kaori-chan there’s nothing wrong with criticizing the game it has some flaws like the durability issue you cited and others like the limited variety of enemies to fight and lack of challenging dungeons. Vocalizing fair criticisms can only help the sequel be even better.
@Kaori-chan it can be frustrating if you don't know where stuff is i.e. armor and Great Fairy Fountains and if what you really want is to clear epic dungeons. It might be worth playing with a guide so you can at least get the armor.
@YoungLink64 I will accept my punishment three weeks stuck listening to Gaebora, Tingle and Agatha arguing.
The visor looks more plastic or metallic than it does glass, the sheen is to close to the overall helm and to me that’s a major drawback. Still it is very beautiful and I wish I had the money for it.
Now this makes me really wanna see a female slayer! They should see if they could collaborate with Nintendo to bring in Samus in as as DLC character. It'd give people an extra reason to buy the Nintendo console version and help the Metroid franchise which needs all the help it can get.
It needed updated graphics but I dunno if they quite got it right or not. Hopefully it'll be better than that dumpster fire of broken promises Warcraft III Reforged.
I agree with what others have said they need to hold off announcing games until they're further into development. I would say they shouldn't announce till they're at least a third of the way done or even half way through. I think part of the problem like with games like Bayonetta and Metroid 4 is we've seen game and other forms of media get caught up in development limbo and the be lackluster or just terrible despite all the time. Influencers are a problem as well though I'm not sure how much of one.
@Darlinfan you can start simple with little kids and work from there with them. That’s how my parents started educating me to be a decent human being.
Oppressors aren’t entitled to at their convenience figure out how to be decent human beings. They don’t have to pay the price for dragging their feet the oppressed do.
@Darlinfan teaching kids at school is a proven and effective way of protecting marginalized communities whether they're my own or the Jewish community, or Black Community or another, by protecting the children outside of those communities from developing anti-social bigoted beleifs. All the concern about schools teaching this boils down to bigots being afraid of loosing power of loosing scapegoats.
Society has had enough time my community has been fighting openly for decades for liberation others far longer than that.
@MS7000 I remember doing it once and I spent the entire encounter knocked back or chasing after it or getting knocked off a cliff. I failed so many times I almost gave up which would've sucked cause there were some amazing temples after.
