As someone who does not own a Xbox or Playstation, Sony and Microsoft not taking full advantage of E3 does not impact me at all.
Nintendo has this way of taking this event that is most certainly fun, but always having a reputation for being awful, and squeezing as much out of it as they can it about 30 or so minutes. I would never want that to end. Nintendo will always have their place at E3.
Spikes are a cool addition- I like you can spin jump on their spike balls (which can open up some cool course challenges), and them them throwing snowballs in the snow theme is a nice touch. If only they looked like Snow Spikes, too.... Pokeys are a fantastic addition. Don't sleep on that one, because they both belong and can open up some tricky course layouts.
Frozen Coins are cool too, and I would love to see Nintendo do a similar thing with enemies. We need Frozen Munchers!
I like the ideas of having Dash Blocks in a 2-D game, although clearly they do more in 3-D. Not so sure why they are confined to 3D World alone though. (I know that was where they were introduced, but still...) P-Blocks don't really do it for me, though. I'm sure some people will like them, but I don't see how they are different than just having a walkway of blocks, tbh.
But the Master Sword.... wow! I'm no Zelda fan, and even I was gawking at that! Such a unique power-up, so much so I don't even care it's SMB exclusive. Link can use his shield, bow, and bombs? And a technical ground pound?! This more than makes up for no Mystery Mushrooms, and I really hope Nintendo expands upon this idea. A Mega Man power-up would be epic.
@DanElectrode I just spotted that! Great to see them synchronize these two things together. Love their new look (even though it took me forever to figure out that glove.)
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is truly one of the greatest achievements it has ever been my pleasure to play. All of the work, detail, and polish put into this game, and the dedication to making it fun and accessible by all is truly incredible. Sakurai should really pride himself on how well this game is selling, because it is 100% deserved.

Sort of like a spiritual successor to Pokemon Origins. I like it!

Re: Anniversary: It's Been 20 Years Since We First Glimpsed Johto In Pokémon Gold And Silver
Gold and Silver are such amazing experiences. If you are a Pokemon fan, this here is a must play pair of games.
Re: Review: Animus: Harbinger - A Budget Dark Souls Clone Which Needed More Polish
I legit thought this was Dark Souls for a second.
Not cut out for the Souls games at all, but even if I was, I would not enjoy a budget, dumbed-down version of it, make no mistake.

Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
If it is broke, don't fix it and make annual games no matter how much backlash they get.
Re: Level-5's Snack World Is Finally Making Its Way To The West
Sounds very unique. I might take a look into it.
Re: Review: Bee Simulator - An Interesting Idea That Never Really Takes Flight
Never thought this odd idea could take off. Correct I was.
