@Deeko yeah I'm in the same boat purchased on wii digitally with the dlc was hoping we would hear some news. if I remember right at the reveal of the switch reggie said they were listening to fans who buy digital games. looks like that was a lie

as much as I'm thirsty for Mario content n the switch if this don't get discounted I won't be buying it any time soon at the current price.

Still we don't know how far along the switch version is , it may end up being the definitive and better polished of the ports. Time will tell though how long it takes and in the mean time dragons trap is looking great for a next purchase.

Well till they decide if mario kart 8 Digital owners are going to get a discount on switch why .

still hopefull i'll just hold of till they do or it just need to wait for a sale. i don't need a battle mode or a few extra characters i was happy with what i had purchased including the dcl tracks and characters but thats for another day.

aah so I guess a fix for the weird battery issue is not top of priorities £328 well spent then

I'm sorry but I'm not paying full price for a battle mode and a couple of chatters that I really didn't need. but also I cant play my purchases unlike I was able to with wii on wiiU

@Bunkerneath i'm talking about on switch and in console mode. i played the 3ds game and loved it. but i've never played the original and still would love to .so fingers crossed

1080p Kirby game does sounds great and portable mode in bed would be the sweet spot.

I'll also go with a luigis mansion sequel or original hd remaster and I'll be happy as a pig in ..... lol

So thats one issue possible resolved, now what about the battery issues that people are facing, it can't be software related as we all have the same software and not everyones device has a poor battery , well that i'm aware of.

its rather annoying as i have logged it with nintendo but i've not had the best experience with support so far. Also they are filling repairs under wiiu because hey haven't got the system in place . i mean they've had what 4-5 years to sort that out.

when i got a manager on the phone and told him the issue his response was comical he actually said "are you sure your not pressing any buttons that can run the battery down"

like i told him it was fully charged, undocked, no joy cons attached , totally powered off ie not in sleep mode.

So why would i be pressing any buttons and why would pressing buttons on a powered down device drain the battery and why would you be sitting pressing buttons on a powered off device to begin with ?? there is no reason for me loosing nearly 40% of my battery. when its not been used in the space of a few hours.

Also the thought of loosing over 30 hours of zelda has soured my experience and when i questioned it , i mean its 2017 and there past consoles have not had this limitation , there was no lack of concern or sympathy .

You could tell he just wasn't interested and despite wanting to escalate my complaint i got no where.

i've already been waiting nearly a week for the return label to which i need to go now buy packing etc to return it because they cant be bothered to provide the customer with any packing for they're defective goods, like you've not already spent enough & your wallets lined with gold. plus i have to hope nothing dodgy goes on after i ship it , as they are listing your device as a wiiU on they're systems.

it's a sad experience all around & i'm really thinking of just selling it and cutting my losses can't be doing with the hassle , obviously this machine is not ready but anything so they can charge for online down the road but what about the user today ?

@gcunit where are you getting the infomation that there will be no use of hd rumble ??

So considering what they can do with the joycons id expect when using the bow you'll feel tension and rumbling as draw your bow and fire you arrows it will travel up and down the joycon as you pull on the bow.

who know there is bound to be a direct just before launch just to show of some features id guess as its there biggest launch game.

reggie has said there is 40 odd days till launch theres still stuff to come.

@Wolfgabe The others give you games to keep for as long as you are a paid member & not just one month or limited to 1 retro game.

Just because other systems charge doesn't mean you should follow suit , that doesn't qualify you as having a great online system . Especially when your given less for the fee and also expecting people to pay for an app on top of that subscription to use voice chat in games.

I'll wait for the pricing but as it stands I haven't bothered with psn on the ps4 as I game casually when I get the time or when I want a pick me up. (in fact I traded in my ps4 so I will re pick up nearer Christmas when horizon etc are all on sale or we shall see how many games release on the switch though before xmas maybe sooner if a good deal comes available ).

It looks like I may now need to start getting a paid system just because Mario kart & what's the bets Mario odyssey will have some sort of online features forcing people to get the most out of the game especially if you want to try every aspect of the title and be a completionist.

The only reason it's free for launch is we are testing they're services for them, it will be all Wonderfull until it becomes paid in the fall .

To pick that time there must be some unannounced titles coming that are going to have online play as a main feature and I'm surprised they are not holding splatoon 2 back for this reason I suppose though they have only said summer maybe it will get delayed till practically fall due to some sort of issues.

I have my console preorder so I will be there day one but as for a subscription time will tell, I don't know any other games etc so i don't really see the point unless I'm put into a situation where I will need it to complete the game which I hope they don't start that wth games.

They way I see it now and i get its a new system ( it's not my first ) everything is extremely pricey over and about ms and Sony prices £59.99 for a retail disk game I have yet to pay that price for wiiU, ps4 or xbox titles ( maybe if they are digital but everyone knows they are always inflated for no good reason ) which doesn't bode well for anything else they plan on bringing that's yet to be disclosed.

So n64 games are a given again. since the left joy con has arrow buttons just like the n64 controller.

lets hope they have some other joy cons coming for other systems , i.e. gamecube still need to play Lugis mansion and Mario Sunshine.

Saying that the triggers on the joy cons kinda resemble the gamecube controller design so who knows . maybe I'm just being a bit to hopefully. lol

@JamesR I'm in the same boat it would be nice to get a reduced price on Mario kart 8 deluxe, but unfortunately I don't have my wii U any more so I will probably miss out if it does happen I just hope not I can't see me buying Mario kart deluxe for the sake off a few characters , a few tracks and a upgraded battle mode. not when paid full price for the digital version and the dlc. its shame really if they do this.

the buttons on the joy cons with the arrows on them could that be for n64 compatibility if I remember right there was 4 yellow directional buttons on the controller.
