Nice article,I think the timing of release and pricing for Twilight Princess HD are big reasons for the currently lukewarm buzz. As its launching full price and coming at the end of a console cycle and at a time when many were already hoping to be playing the next major Zelda release (which looks incredible visually) it was always going to be hard for it to generate much buzz .Im most definately looking forward to it though

i do think amiibo will break the uk tho and force retailers and casual minded consumers to take notice.which will undoubtably be a step in the right direction .

i am in no way saying that nintendo is blameless,as most non gaming people still have no idea what a wii u is,i was just saying the narrow minded ness of this country makes it all much worse,talk to tge average uk gamer n they all want the same thing .exactly what their friends have cos its the popular predictable option

hmmm one look at the charts kinda suggests the uk market is doomed for any creative games.all we seem to buy is recycled franchises year on year .the closed-mindedness of the general public in this country makes me sad.

home systems on the whole are on massive decline year on year in japan ,comparing these sales with last years is not an easy comparison,it is competing well with the ps4 at least though which is nice

saw the game on the bottom shelve of the wii section in asda lol and havent seen a single advert in the uk for months. and had to change my amazon order as it wasnt gonna come til 19th of december,it really is bad for nintendo over here though not terminally so by any means.

ps still waiting on zaavi for my"pre order" sigh, will try shopto next time...

its not really an option buying retail for me as only game seems to actually sell wii u games and theyre overpriced ,no one else does from what ive seen even my local tesco which has huge stands for ps4 and xbox one does not....

although it must be said that up 666% on barley nothing isnt neccessarily all that impressive but number 2 in the chart is i jjust hope it can keep good momentum in the coming weeks.

downloaded it and loving it, hopefully this game will have a big online following(and hopefully dlc) for years to come

can anyone confirm the format? Because i want it on 3ds and not on ios or any other format for that matter,i love this series so much i can see it becoming my absolute favourite soon enough

looking really good ,both just need a decent single player mode(which im sure it theyll get),and the wii u one needs more graphical polish to give it the wow factor it currently lacks and differentiate it from brawl on wii ,which it seems to look not much better than unless compared to side by side. (the pikmin stage looks particularly low res).im excited though an im sure itll look better come release.
p.s will probably get both versions

Would sooner play the gba games portable as was originally intended,thats just me though, its nice others can enjoy these great games after weeks of virtually non existent virtual console support.

Ps gba versions are inferior due to gamma issues relating to the original gbas non backlit screen

Gonna get wonder boy 3 dragons trap on the sms or turbo grafx instead .ive heard mixed opinion on the turbografx version so ill probably get the sms version.

More games are better than none,im sure you realise this,and besides this series does not yet exist on wii u and the 3ds entry was a bit of a letdown tbh.

Kirk raises a good point, the times of blindly defending everything nintendo does or fails to do are over for me,their eshop output is lazy at best,if theyre sitting on perfectly good code and fail to use it ,thats inexcusable

gamecube, dreamcast, saturn etc thats where my money would go...

3ds xl plays ds games great especially in original pixel mide, why do you assume theyd look better on the wii u?

Should of happened years ago,the virtual console on both current nintendo platforms is a joke,the funny thing is they pale in comparison to the wiis virtual console service back when it was at this point several years ago . Which is uttetly inexcusable!

The wii u gamepad is great but you could argue with the price it adds to the product it should be up to the consumer whether they want to pay extra for it or not.

Agree with the article,i think releasing a low cost wii u sku with a wii mote an numchuck for 180 pounds or less would make a lot of sense ,keep the gamepad functionality in future games of course,just add alternate control methods.its a similar concept to the 2ds if you think about it.

I think they needed to sahke the gameplay up a bit to make it stand out from the first one,perhaps improve the rpg elements to provide added depth to the gameplay, but this doesnt appear to be the case,so no sale from me even though i loved the original.

You guys are insane, how can u slam the rayman games when they have universal praise,there mechanics are not wrong they are just different from marios! I own both and i think they are both incredible platformers especially legends,which gives 3d world a good run for its money in my opinion

Oh dear, tbh though considering all u ever see on tv is "only on ps4" adverts and xbox one tv integration adverts this is no surprise im just glad there are wii u titles in there at all at this point, i do think this will improve though..

wii u desperately needs arcade,saturn, dreamcast and gamecube titles otherwise their will be no growth between the consoles in terms of their vc service which is pretty bad.
And 3ds needs wonderswan, lynx ,gba even virtual boy titles things that will draw interest for being new and interesting weve had all this stuff before!?

On the 3ds game the text font is awful, it really hurts your eyes, i ve only played it a couple of times as a result an am looking to sell it
