@Moistnado I’m too old to admit I enjoy the Gal Gun series. I admittedly made sure my curtains were completely closed playing Gal Gun on PS4 in my living room last week. Lol
Didn’t want the neighbors hearing me engaging Doki Doki mode and curiously sneaking a peek at my screen.
I’m a now-single dude in a house i just purchased in a Leave It To Beaver neighborhood… Not a good look.. 😂

So I got this last night and am enjoying it, but I have one gripe, partially toward myself.
DO NOT purchase a game based on the sub-heading of these reviews. I was initially pretty pissed that this game is NOTHING like Zelda: Minish Cap, which is one of my favorite Zelda games. Not really sure where there is any comparison to be made between this game and a Zelda title.
I will say I am enjoying and it’s a nice change of pace from other titles I usually go for.
It’s more like Slayaway Camp if I were to compare it to anything. Although with much more appealing art style and smoother gameplay. Just a way better experience with a similar concept.

Re: Review: MindSeize - Slick Mega Man Zero-Style Action Jammed Into A Metroidvania

@SmaggTheSmug What does Rayman Legends have to do with a Metroidvania? I see MVs are becoming like RPGs today. Any character progression makes a game an RPG according to many nowadays.
So now, a game just has to have multiple enviornments as a 2D, platforming, side-scroller and it’s a Metroidvania??
And for the record, The Messenger is not a Metroidvania. It has clearly defined stages, for christ sake.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch OLED Model Vs Steam Deck

@Dualmask @westman98 I haven’t played a PC game since circa-1995 when I’d play The 7th Guest… To me, especially only owning a MacBook Pro only really used for recording and editing audio, it’ll be nice to be part of computer gaming for a change, and also have the Steam ecosystem hold my hand as I wade into the PC experience.
PC gaming and the technical aspects have always been a little intimidating to a console-spoiled, technically challenged old f***er like myself, so I’m hoping the Steam Deck works for me as a good introduction and allows me access to tons of indie roguelikes, adventure games/visual novels, and shmups.
