@Toastmaster except the reason Battlefield didn't come to the Wii U like COD BO2 did...was the CPU was equally weak in comparison. The WiiU GPU had plenty of power, but with the CPU being so weak and only clocked at 1.0 GHZ...several engines couldn't find right on it
I realize it costs them $16 more per cartridge, but I really think jrpg gamers would be happy to split that with the company. I would. Would you all pay $8-$10 more to have a game on the cartridge?
@Galaxy2IsTheGOAT I know these are popular, but nothing that I'd be interested in. I've read they are extremely difficult. I have had multiple hand surgeries, so I'd get very frustrated. Happy to all those who love them though
@Anti-Matter Most every larger release will use key cards. Cartridges cost developers $16 each while key cards are free. I don't see smaller developers using cartridges because of cost. And larger developers because of space ,(max out at 64gb).
@Old-Red Man, I've felt this way as well. Because I tend to go back and play games from 15+ years ago. But, I've discovered that is coming to an end. Even if you get everything on the cartridge...err I should say Flash drive, the "cartridge" will not be good forever. They use a form of flash memory for the switch cartridges. They will not last 40 years like the old Atari 2600 and Nes games. I believe the life expectancy on switch cartridges is between 20-25 years. But apparently, DS games are beginning to lose data on some of the first ones out. There is one console, maybe Evercade, whose cartridges are crapping out already after only a few years.
So, I've had to try and put that collector mentality into the back of my brain...or I'd never buy anything and enjoy it.
I still only have Mario Kart. There aren't any other games I'm interested in outside of SW Outlaws that they have shown yet. That's okay though. I only tend to buy 6-8 games a year. Even though I've only logged 2 hours so far into the console, I really like it. Hoping for a Port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, age of empires, Forza, state of Decay, COD (I'd love to see a remastered BO2), Battlefield 6, SW Battlefront (2017&2015), Rogue Squadron remakes or remasters, and several.othets. I know some will never come out (Battlefront...but I bet those Jedi survivor and the other one come out 🤮).'
@Jimmy_G_Buckets Hate to say it, but the series S is more powerful than the Switch 2. I have no pony in the fight yet, but the stats are as follows:
Switch 2 handheld mode. 1.6 teraflops Switch 2 Docked mode. 3.1teraflops PlayStation 4. 1.7 teraflops Xbox Series S. 4.0 teraflops PlayStation 5. 10.28 teraflops Xbox Series S 12.00 teraflops
The DLSS will help some, but raw computing power is less
I agree 💯%. Still my favorite Zelda game. I played it on release week ..yes I'm old. The last Zelda game I cared for was Wind Waker. As beautiful as Breath of the Wild is, I just couldn't get into all the shrines. And the new one looks too complicated to be fun.
1. Goldeneye N64 (Just because of the nostalgia and innovations for it's time. My #1 N64 game).
2. Goldeneye Wii (awesome local multiplayer and great frame rate for 4 player split screen on Wii)
3. Nightfire (Bots, great maps, etc.)
4. Legends.
5. Goldeneye remastered (PS3). I know, not Nintendo.. but still awesome. I did like the wii version better. Maps were more open (less trucks, foliage, etc.) and it made it easier to pick out the enemies.

@Kev_2610 I would. This is my #1 favorite series. All I have is a switch 2 as far as consoles. I don't think my laptop will run it well. This sucks

@Anti-Matter what type of games do you play?
Re: Rumour: Major Third-Party Devs Reportedly Sitting On Multiple Switch 2 Announcements
@Anti-Matter since I have no other newer console, I'd actually buy:
WWE 2k25
NBA 2k26
Star Wars Outlaws.
Not the least bit interested in Donkey Kong

But how many Smurfin' players can play simultaneously? Two player split screen or four?
