My twin brother and I asked for red and blue the Christmas they came out. They were impossible to get. Little did we know at the time my father had friends in England and the USA (we live in Ireland) looking out for these games for us. His friend found blue and shipped it to Ireland from Boston in time for Christmas that year. We opened it that Christmas morning with a letter from Santa apologizing for only being able to get us blue and not red. While a little disappointed we were hooked, swapping over ever hour or so taking turns and watching over each others shoulders as we trained, caught and battled our way to be Pokémon masters. Now at 32 my twin brother and I still play and still fight over which versions to get. That Christmas morning not only started our love of Pokémon, but also Nintendo and video games. For that I cannot thank Pokémon enough.
Was one of the lucky ones, working from home so had my emails alert ready the second it came it and then the mad dash to get the order in. Harder than it should be
Visited several Pokémon centers when I was in Japan they are amazing and worth visiting for any Pokémon fans. In a year or two when I am back to Japan may have to add Okinawa to the list 😉
Demo was a fantastic idea for Kirby. Played it and bought the game using voucher. Loving it so far and would never have been massively into Kirby games before. Demos seem to pop up more often for some of the more first party games on switch and I am all for it.
No problem with this at all, the more access to games on different platforms is great for both players and devs. Just please for the love of God make search and filtering options more robust on the eshop 😩
While not the quality of Lego, nanoblocks are affordable and great for sets like Pokémon where you have some many to choose from. Got a good few packs when I was in Japan 2 years ago. Love them.
As others have stated have played previously on PS4 and loved it. Really looking forward to the jump in and jump out nature of the switch version. Releases a day after my 30th so why not!
He was a boss he is not meant to be your friend and kill you with kindness. Some days you will hate your boss, some days he will hate you but as long as you are both working towards the same goal and only challenging or questioning direction when appropriate you are both striving for the best. Obviously any inappropriate comments, name calling, sexual conduct and racism are totally unacceptable but in this case it seems to be as a boss he was a bit of a jerk. A non story really.
@Menardi I work in a huge national company which has a union of which 90-95% of the employees are members. For a nominal fee less that €20 per month this has secured us -extra sick leave during Covid. -5% pay increase during this pandemic. -representation in disciplinary or legal issues. -secure working from home rights. All this while not losing any of our other entitlements/rights. These are just examples and we are lucky that our union is decent and may not work in all working environments but I do know for a fact our company would not have given us those extra gains without pressure from the union. Why would they their job is to make money for the business and shareholders. Might not work in context of game developers but is for sure worth a shot
@Brydontk totally agree some have way too much going on and will be interesting to see animated in game. As you said some look brilliant, my personal favourite the bulldog bouncer with the buzz cut 😂😂
@Incarna in your opinion that is. Sorry to hear you didn't have fun with sword and shield but many millions did. Spent over 100 hours in the game and loved it and sales would say it hasn't done too bad with fans. Monster catching is still as enjoyable all these years later
@zzzyzxroad I don't think entitled whiners is accurate. It is personal opinion mostly. I play both thousand year door and sticker star, actually 100% sticker star but I wouldn't call the game great. Majority seem to rate thousand year door higher but as I said it is all personal opinion.
Hopefully this game is good and all signs point to yes. Will wait for other reviews as when you see it scored exactly the same as sticker star the review doesn't hold much weight
