Having strong graphics display capability does not mean all games will be realistic style, it just means where it is preferred, then it can be done. It also means Nintendo gets the best of the cross platform games the other consoles get on top of its own exclusives With the higher graphic capability will afford wider range of styles for their own in house games too.
Some companies do great graphics as a selling point but they have lackluster game play. I think Nintendo is wise enough to not go down that path.
In Malaysia there is no official Nintendo presence, we get the Singaporean distributor, Its where I got mine, its the "official version", I paid around US480 for my Wii 3 years after it was released, its US region but its really ROM flashed UAE version with Arabian on the box.
But most people here buy modded Korean or Japanese consoles (around US$250-$350) and pirate the games, can't get online though, AFAIK it'll brick. Are there any reason Nintendo will have a presence here, do they know there is a market here even? They are selling a lot of hardware here.
Yeah so the Wii2's price is going to be pretty funny over here, it'll be worth a lot of my favourite Durians
I call fake, 1. Too many status lights, those little squares near the rounded edge, what could they be possibly used for? 2. The size of the disc trey, the slit in the middle on lower portion? That means the entire device is huge and thick, if that is not the disc trey then where is it? And 3. The screen on the controller looks haphazardly crammed on there, the proportions don't look good at all.
@161. SanderEvers The difference is, DVD was commonplace when Wii came out. At least I hope there will be video player software if it does use blu-ray.
Even PC game devs like Valve is making PS3 versions of their games, Nintendo needs to come out with a system that makes sense for the big western dev companies to develop for in a multi-platform development environment. For example, like being able to deliver Modern Warfare or Battlefield games the other platforms get.
Devil's Third is slated for 2012 release, does he know something or is his main point their code base is scalable and flexible enough to be ported to a new more capable Nintendo console, which is also saying the Wii is not powerful enough to run the game, but if Nintendo came up with a higher end successor, they could port it no problem, the technology behind the game has good architecture.
My mother, who is in her 70s, LOLed when I did a save in NMH2. It is the only game she likes to watch when I play. But I felt embarrassed when I had to recharge when she's watching
If it has a real signature from Sigeru Miyamoto! But otherwise, I'm pretty easily impressed, HD graphics, better sensors would make it disappointment-proof for me.
I am playing this with my mom, shes in her 70s. Well actually, i'm teaching her how to play it, because we have only one wiimote.
Yes, she is enjoying this (me too actually), I bought this for her, so I'm very glad she is enjoying herself, thanks for this good review, we would have never found this game otherwise.
I don't see this happening, if there is any sort of processing power upgrade, even resolution upgrade, which console would new games target? Some developers might make hi-def textures that a huge install base would never see, while other devs would just target our Wii and ignore this fictional Wii 1.5. Half a new Wii like this just makes no sense.

Re: Rumour: Wii Successor Won't Have a Traditional Hard Drive
Maybe it'll have a USB3 or 2 port for extra storage expansion, just don't force us to buy a Nintendo packaged HDD.

Do they do this a lot, not stock certain games that is, what do they have against this game in particular?
